Chapter 186: Chapter 186- Sorry, I Really Couldn’t Help It

The boy almost skipped toward Sol. He was too excited while waiting for this moment.

The boy stopped in front of Sol and looked up at him. He was about two heads shorter.

"He should be the one to inherit Master’s Legacy since he possesses the greatest talent out of everyone. However, even without his talents, I would still possess him because of that seedling."

The boy rubbed his hands together and he was almost salivating at this point. Unable to wait anymore, the boy practically lunged at Sol.

However, just as he lunged forward, an insurmountable but peaceful force gently pushed him back.

Despite the gentle push, the boy was easily knocked to the ground. From there he looked up at Sol in shock.

Above sol’s head, his Innate Dharma materialized and began radiating a green glow.

The boy quickly recovered and then looked at the seedling with a red face.

"Oh, I’m sorry for being so forceful. But don’t worry, I’ll be gentle this time."

The boy jumped up and walked back to Sol, however, a solemn voice suddenly resounded out.

"Enough, find someone else to latch onto you parasite."

The boy froze in his steps and then watched as a figure materialized in front of Sol from the green glow.

It was a little girl with emerald green eyes and green hair. She looked to be around the same age as him, but her expression was different.

As she looked at this boy, this girl resembled a mature adult looking at a child who was about to do something they weren’t supposed to.

She also had a sense of authority in her gaze and overall demeanor.

When the boy saw the girl, his face morphed into an ugly expression.

It’s as if he had met a beautiful girl online but when they finally meet in irl, it turns out this ’girl’ was a hundred-year-old hag.

The boy almost wanted to vomit.

"You-You bitch, how dare you lie to me?!"

The girl’s eyes narrowed.

"Watch your mouth or I’ll make it so your roots shrivel up."

"Do it! You’re just an old hag anyway!!"

The boy had a fierce expression on his face.

The little girl coldly raised her hand and grasped towards the boy.

The Aether Energy was suddenly sucked away from the area, making it a dead zone. However, contrary to what the girl thought would happen, the little boy was smirking at her while a soft red hue appeared around his body.

"Do you think I’m that reliant on Aether Energy? Do you know how old I am? Well, not as old as you... *fufu*... why did it have to be an old hag?"

The little boy dramatically cupped his face in his hands and began crying.

The girl rolled her eyes and released her grasp on the Aether Energy in the surroundings.

However, the boy sensed something and his head suddenly snapped up to look at the girl.

"Wait a minute, who are you? You’re not-"

Smack!

The boy was cut off before he could finish his words.

He and the girl turn to look at Sol who had fallen face-first onto the ground.

A Few Seconds Earlier...

It didn’t take long for Sol to reach the base of the Heavenly Tree. Now that he was here, it was even more impressive than before.

Sol felt his Innate Dharma trembling even harder as he approached the tree.

"I came here by following my senses, but what now? How do I get out?"

Despite his confusion about his situation, the strange feeling was urging him to touch the tree.

Sol stepped forward, and after hesitating for a brief moment, he eventually placed his palm on the tree.

His Innate Dharma immediately stopped trembling and his vision suddenly blurred.

When his eyes cleared, Sol found himself inside a brightly lit majestic hall. However, before he could fully register anything, a wave of dizziness hit him. He felt himself falling forward, but no matter what he tried his feet remained unmoving.

Thus Sol fell and his face smacked onto the ground.

Returned To Present...

The boy and girl stared at Sol who had his face on the ground while his butt was sticking up in the air.

"No doubt he has the greatest potential between them, he was able to reach his innate talent first. But it looks like the Inheritance didn’t choose him."

As the boy said that, Sol suddenly released a groan.

Feeling was coming back to his limbs and he slowly raised himself up.

While holding his still throbbing head, Sol happened to see the boy and girl.

"Wah! Why are there kids in here?"

"Huh?"

The little boy’s face twisted into the expression of a thug as he looked at Sol.

"Who are you calling a kid, you brat?"

Sol got up and walked towards the boy.

"?"

The boy observed Sol’s actions with a frown on his face. He looked up at Sol who stopped in front of him.

"Where are your parents?"

The boy suddenly felt himself being picked up. His expression turned blank as he looked down at Sol, he couldn’t believe this situation.

Sol’s face was full of concern while looking at the boy.

For some reason, he remained him of Little Zeel.

Perhaps if Little Zeel had a human form he would have looked like this boy.

Sol glanced at the boy’s chubby cheeks and he suddenly had the urge to pinch them.

The boy finally recovered from his momentarily dumbfoundment and glared at Sol.

"Fuck, who do you think you are? PUT ME DOWN!! PUT ME DOWN!! PUT ME DOWN!!"

"Wah! Don’t be so upset I’ll put you down."

The boy was throwing a tantrum to be let down.

This didn’t help his case at all.

Sol placed the boy down and then watched as the little guy fixed his clothes before glaring at him.

Sol scratched his cheeks embarrassingly.

"So who are you guys? What are you doing here?"

Hearing Sol’s tone of voice that sounded like he was talking to a child, the boy’s eyes twitched.

"Listen here you brat!"

The boy suddenly rose into the air until he was two heads above Sol. He jabbed his finger in Sol’s face before saying.

"Don’t you dare speak to me like I’m a child, do you know how old I am? Damn it, first it’s this old hag and then you."

Obviously, at this point, Sol realized this boy wasn’t as old as he looked. Not to mention he was flying in front of him.

However, Sol really couldn’t take him seriously with his appearance, or his immature voice that sounded like he hadn’t gone through puberty yet.

"Should I call you senior then?"

The boy folded his hands and said with a smug expression.

"Of course! That is only natural. I might not have a cultivation base, but I’m-"

The boy froze when he suddenly felt his cheeks being pinched.

His face turned red from anger and he glared at Sol.

Sol smiled embarrassingly.

"Sorry, I really couldn’t help it."
