Chapter 148: Chapter 148- Can We Talk Somewhere Else?

Yoon-Jae patted Sol on the shoulder.

"It’s okay, you can go to the Wudang Sect and break his bones in a sparring match when we get out of here. Let’s go."

"Brother Yoon-Jae, you said he wasn’t from the academy, who is he exactly and is he really Geon-Soo’s younger brother?"

"It’s a long story involving the infidelity of powerful figures, I’ll explain it to you later."

After saying that, Yoon-Jae then turned to Yun-Soo who was still glaring at them, and barked.

"What? You’re still here? Get loss already!"

The alchemy disciples echoed Yoon-Jae’s sentiments.

The red robe disciples that came with Yun-Soo started to urge him to leave.

Yun-Soo as if he thought of something grinned maliciously before shrugging off their attempts.

"Okay, let’s say that bastard didn’t kill that member of my Wudang Sect. But I know for a fact that he died here a week ago. So how did he die? There are no beasts around here that could kill him before he could call for help, it has to be someone here. It could even be one of the spies from the Demonic Cult!"

After throwing the theory out Yun-Soo sneered before he turn and started to leave.

He just wanted to do anything to get back at them so he threw out this random theory, unbeknownst to him he was spot on.

Though even if he wasn’t, his words had caused the alchemy disciples to start freaking out.

Someone had been killed by a spy from the Demonic Cult?!

What if they were next?

"Bastard, you’re too close, step back!"

One disciple suddenly yelled at another disciple.

That disciple who was shoved responded by roaring back.

"We’re in the same group, Brother Sol said we should stay together!"

"What if you’re the spy? I’d rather not be in a group with anyone anymore."

Slowly chaos descended on the crowd of alchemy disciples as the paranoia came back in full force.

Several small scuffles even broke out due to the heightened tension in this confined area.

Yun-Soo stopped and watch this Regina-George-like scene play from a distance away with a smirk on his face.

It was like a scene straight out of that iconic movie.

Yoon-Jae stopped in his tracks and turned to glare at Yun-Soo with hatred.

He then turned to the crowd of disciples to try and remedy the situation, but he suddenly heard the cry of a male disciple.

"Then what about my sister?! My sister is also missing for a week, was she killed by the Demonic Cult spy as well?!"

This sentence was like a bucket of gasoline being through on an already blazing fire.

The alchemy disciples went absolutely ballistic. Truly it looked like a war was on the brink of erupting.

Sol turned to look at this male disciple with disappointment but Yoon-Jae glared at him as if he wanted to gnaw on his flesh and drink his blood.

The youth shrink away from Yoon-Jae’s stare, but what was he supposed to do in this situation? He was worried for his sister and nothing was being done. Now that he heard this he wasn’t supposed to say anything?

Yoon-Jae could only glare at this male disciple but he knew he didn’t have any right to scold him. He instead turned his attention to the rioting crowd.

A vein was visibly bulging on his forehead as he braked.

"SHUT UP!!!"

Sol who was next to him felt a cold chill go down his spine and he involuntarily took a step back.

BANG!

A cold wind suddenly blasted from Yoon-Jae causing his robe to flap uncontrollably. This cold wind swept out to spread to every alchemy disciple gathered here.

At the same time this cold wind swept out, the cry of a phoenix could be heard.

When the alchemy disciples felt this cold wind they shivered, they could feel Yoon-Jae’s rage inside of it. If they truly continued it felt like Yoon-Jae wouldn’t hesitate to freeze them all to death.

The red robe disciples and Yun-Soo who was some distance away quickly retreated, but they were still hit by this cold wind which caused their blood to run cold.

After retreating, Yun-Soo looked at Yoon-Jae and his heart started to beat wildly.

Some people might not know this, but Yoon-Jae didn’t originally receive the name ’Devil Devil Yoon’ because of the sadistic pranks he pulled in the academy with his appearance. He had this name before he entered, and it was because of his nasty personality.

People just forgot this detail because he rarely had an episode nowadays.

But currently, Devil Devil Yoon was making an appearance, one could tell this by the fact that he was using his Ice Element.

The disciples in the surroundings had become deathly silent.

"Was that Brother Yoon-Jae’s Ice Phoenix Innate Dharma? I never knew it was this powerful."

"Rumors say it’s even stronger than his Fire Phoenix, but he hardly uses it so no one knows for sure."

"I would bet those rumors are true, did you feel the energy he released when he used it? It’s completely different during the rare times we see him fight in the Martial Hall Pagoda using his Fire Phoenix."

Despite the silence, hushed voices could still be heard in the crowd.

After Yoon-Jae got everyone to calm down he retracted his aura and said.

"I don’t want to see this happen again. The three rules Sol created are still in effect, if a Demonic Cult disciple was the one who truly killed a member of my Alchemy Pavilion then I’ll personally find and kill them. You are dismissed!"

With a final yell from Yoon-Jae, the alchemy disciples all scrambled away in their groups to carry out the activities they had put on hold to be here.

Yoon-Jae sighed, and Sol approached and rubbed his back.

"I’m fine Sol, let’s go. If I have to look at that fucker any longer I might just kill him."

Sol glanced at Yun-Soo who still hadn’t left, before following Yoon-Jae into the ruined Pavilion.

"Was that the cry of a Phoenix?"

Abdu asked from atop Sol’s head.

"Yeah, Brother Yoon-Jae has a Fire Phoenix and an Ice Phoenix Innate Dharma."

"Someone can actually awaken a Divine Beast like a Phoenix for their Innate Dharma? Those were beings that existed even before my time."

"Yeah, but I told you this already Liitle Abdu."

"You did brat, but to be honest I only half believed you."

Sol pouted.

"Why would I lie to you?’

As the three made their way back to the courtyard where Little Zeel was resting, they happened upon someone waiting for them.

"Brother Sol, can I speak with you?"

This youth came up to cup his fist in front of Sol.

When Sol saw this youth he smiled and said.

"Ji-Hoon, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Sol had a favorable impression of Ji-Hoon ever since he had warned him of the Elders in the academy back on the Ship.

"Brother Sol, not here, can we talk alone somewhere else?"
