Chapter 143: Chapter 143- Little Abdu Likes To Mess With People
Sol looked at Yoon-Jae, puzzled as to how he had caused the garden’s destruction.
Yoon-Jae continued walking as he explained.
"That teleportation circle you sent me through was direct alright, it directly sent me here to the main teleportation array of this Palace, which so happens to be in this main hall."
Hearing this, Sol scratched his cheek and awkwardly apologize.
"I’ll help plant more herbs, with my Innate Dharma I can find medicinal plants fairly easily."
"That’s good news, but now’s really not the time."
Yoon-Jae opened a door to reveal an outside courtyard.
Relative to the ruined Palace, this courtyard was extremely beautiful, as if it had been renovated and continuously maintained.
Yoon-Jae allowed Sol to enter first before following behind him.
There was a table and two chairs in the middle of this courtyard.
Little Zeel was seen sleeping on the table.
Sol went over and sat down at one of the chairs. He then carefully picked up Little Zeel, happy to see him again.
Little Zeel didn’t wake up, but he instinctively snuggled further into Sol’s embrace.
Yoon-Jae came over and sat down as well, and without hesitation, he grabbed the jug of wine that was on the table and put it to his lips before taking large gulps.
When he was finished he slammed the jug onto the table.
Now that Sol took a closer at Yoon-Jae, he realized his hair was extremely disheveled and overall he had a haggard appearance.
It seemed like he was completely stressed out.
"What happened?"
Sol asked once more.
Yoon-Jae held up a finger and took several more gulps of wine. After he was finished he released a loud burp and then wipe his lips.
He looked at Sol and said grimly.
"Where trapped in this Dimension, all of us, every single disciple."
"What? How? Can you explain a bit more Brother Yoon-Jae?"
Sol was shocked. He would have never figured the situation was something like this.
Yoon-Jae took a few more gulps of wine and then continued.
"The Elders from the Academy were supposed to keep the Multidimensional Teleportation Array open for a month. However, yesterday, the Array suddenly closed, completely trapping us in here. And worse of all, none of our communication channels to the outside are working. No one knew what going on but everybody was only slightly panicked at first. Then something happened a few hours ago that threw everyone into a frenzy."
"What happened?"
Yoon-Jae looked at Sol and he sighed before shaking his head. He then took a few more gulps of wine before saying.
"Someone in the Jeagal Clan’s camp happened to have a rare Multidimensional Communication jade slip. He was able to get a hold of the Elders outside, but.."
Yoon-Jae gnashed his teeth hard.
"...instead of ensuring our safety and lying to us that it was just a small mishap and everything will be alright, no, those fuckers instead told us the Array malfunction was the cause of the Demonic Cult. And worse of all they said we should be careful since disciples from the Demonic Cult have managed to infiltrate the Academy and came in here with us."
Now Sol understood why everyone looked so paranoid.
"Sol, I need help, anything to calm down the current situation. Everyone is suspicious of each other, I can’t oversee this many people. Worse, with all the fights breaking out left and right because of the increasing paranoia, I’m afraid it’s only a matter of time before it escalates to a full-blown war!"
"I’ll help in any way I can Brother Yoon-Jae, but has any news of people finding these Demonic Cult disciples emerge?"
Yoon-Jae paused and glanced at Sol for a bit before he shook his head.
"No, none of the Demonic Cult spies have been caught. But look, I don’t know what you’re thinking, but try not to reveal you’re association with them. I know Uncle Master has a relationship with them, but they aren’t liked by the Six Holy Sects and the Five Great Clans, or anyone in Jianghu for that matter. If you having a connection with them were ever to be discovered, then-"
Sol held up his hand.
"Don’t worry Brother Yoon-Jae, it’s just that I have a grudge to settle with them for a friend."
Yoon-Jae was trying to tell Sol to avoid them altogether, but he gave up and instead went back to drinking his wine.
As he was gulping down mouthfuls at a time, all of a sudden the blue tattoo on the back of Sol’s right hand glowed and Abdu leap out of it.
Yoon-Jae was first taken aback by his appearance, but suddenly he spat out his wine and jumped up from his chair.
"What-Why is that thing here?!!"
Yoon-Jae cried out in shock as he pointed at Abdu.
Abdu gave Yoon-Jae a cursory glance and said.
"You have good senses brat."
Yoon-Jae’s body shook, but sudden an intense heatwave suddenly began to emanate from him.
"Ah, Brother Yoon-Jae, it’s alright! Calm down!"
Sol immediately got up from his seat and went over to stop Yoon-Jae. However, Yoon-Jae instead grabbed Sol and pulled him away from the table.
"Get back Sol, this thing must have snuck out without you knowing!"
Sol smiled bitterly before he placed a hand on Yoon-Jae’s shoulder and said.
"No Brother Yoon-Jae, I’m the one who brought him out."
"What?! You did?!"
Yoon-Jae spun around to look at Sol with wide eyes.
Sol nodded, and Yoon-Jae almost fainted when he saw that.
"Sol, what were you thinking? You just released a Spiritual Realm Beast from its cage, everyone’s lives are now in danger!!"
Sol shook his head and then walked back over to the table with Little Zeel in his arms.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, have a seat. I’ll explain what happened in the Palace after you left."
Sol raised the chair Yoon-Jae knocked over before he sat down on his own and waited for Yoon-Jae to come over.
Yoon-Jae frowned at this, and after looking at Abdu who was busy cleaning his fur, he concluded something must have happened for Sol to trust this monster.
Yoon-Jae walked over and sat back down, but never took his eyes off Abdu.
Abdu who was cleaning his fur, stopped and looked up at Yoon-Jae to stare at him.
After a moment of silence with the two locking gazes, Abdu suddenly got up and Yoon-Jae reacted by jumping out of his seat and readying for a fight.
But Abdu only cackled in response to Yoon-Jae’s actions before he went over to Sol and lept onto his head. He then lay down and closed his eyes, ignoring Yoon-Jae.
Yoon-Jae cursed under his breath and Sol apologized to him as he sat back down.
"Sorry Brother Yoon-Jae, Little Abdu likes to mess with people."
"Little Abdu? You even gave it a name?"
Sol nodded with a smile and then went on to retell what happened two days ago after Yoon-Jae left the Palace.
During the conversation, Yoon-Jae had one major question and that was why Abdu chose to create the murder mystery.
He could have gone about it in any other manner but he chose to have them solve a murder?
Abdu explained by saying that he did it because he was bored.
Even Sol figuring out his identity was planned, but not in how he did it with his Heavenly Eyes.
And he also explained that the Rune was already attached to Sol because of his Holy Crest. So even though he got it wrong in the end and gave the rune Abdu’s blood, it still went to him.
A perfect scenario was Sol killing Yoon-Jae so his spirit could be broken after he found out. A person’s soul would be easier to wipe then.
As Abdu explained this, what surprised Sol and Yoon-Jae was how Abdu managed to plan and account for every scenario.
Maybe it was because he had so much time planning it, but when all was said and done, they couldn’t get over the fact that he did it simply because he was bored.
He really liked messing with people.
