The Growth of a Titan -
Chapter 106- Oops
Chapter 106: Chapter 106- Oops
"Ugh, that’s disgusting Sol."
Yoon-Jae scowled.
"What is that?"
Sol asked as he wiped off his mouth.
What he saw was a huge door that the disciples were entering.
After he fully left the gate and his gaze lifted up, he saw another huge wall.
However, this wall look like it was made out of wood. Sol even saw Formation Arrays on some parts of its surface.
"It’s our ride to the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension."
"Wait, it flies?!"
Sol said shocked.
He glance to his left and right and could only see this huge object. Sol found it really hard to believe such a massive thing could leave the ground, but surely they weren’t going to pull this thing with them in it.
But Sol did recognize the Formation Arrays on its surface to be made up of powerful Wind Runes.
"Haha, Brother Sol it isn’t going to sail that’s for sure!"
A disciple who was walking past them commented when he heard and saw Sol’s reaction.
"What does he mean?"
Sol turned to ask Yoon-Jae.
"He means this thing is a flying treasure that’s in the shape of a ship."
"Oh, that’s the thing people use to travel by the sea!... Right?"
"Yes, yes, now let’s go."
Yoon-Jae said as he ushered an excited but nervous Sol onto the ship.
"Ah, Brother Yoon-Jae, Brother Mar-Dule, is this thing safe?"
"Is it safe? You’re asking if this flying treasure which was built by the combined force of the Six Holy Sects and the Five Great Clans is safe? Even if this thing was to fall from the sky somehow, there are Elders from the Academy in the Spiritual Realm to protect us. Plus, they must have some contingency plans if it were to ever malfunction."
After hearing Yoon-Jae’s words of assurance, Sol felt a little less nervous as he entered the ship.
The entranceway was dark, only lit by several luminous pearls along the way.
After entering, Sol felt himself walking up vertically, possibly toward the top of the ship. A few minutes passed and Sol could see light at the end of the path.
As he exited the pathway, Sol squinted as his eyes tried to adjust to the sudden light. When they adjusted, Sol looked around and he was stunned by the view.
This ship was actually large enough to match the height of the wall itself!
Sol looked at Martial Alliance City below to see the many buildings. He could even see a small portion of the Administration Mountian’s peak.
Swoosh!
A massive wind gale swept by and caused Sol’s robes to flap uncontrollably.
Sol was slightly startled.
If he wasn’t a cultivator this wind gale would have probably sent him tumbling off the ship.
"How is it, Brother Sol?"
"It’s amazing."
Mar-Dule nodded.
"My Family has one too but it’s nowhere near as big as this one.
With that, Sol recalled Mar-Dule’s impressive background.
It took a couple more hours until all the disciples leaving for Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension board the ship.
After they all boarded, an announcement was heard.
"All disciples step away from the edge of the ship’s deck!!"
Sol who had found his way to the front of this massive deck stepped back from the edge that reach just below his chest.
Yoon-Jae did the same.
Mar-Dule had left, saying he was heading to where his Runes and Formation Pavilion was staying.
In his immediate surroundings were disciples of the Alchemy Pavilion in their yellow robes.
There were ten of thousands of disciples here, but the deck was big enough to accommodate a majority of them and leave space. The others chose to stay on the lower floors.
Groups like Sol’s own could be seen on the ship’s deck. The Pavilions were separated and already preparing to compete with each other for the resources inside the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension.
Even though they each have their own locations, that really didn’t stop some disciples from sneaking over to other Pavilion’s territory.
As Sol stepped back, he saw runes lighting up on the edge of the deck. A transparent barrier was then erected to cover the entire deck of the ship.
Sol felt the intense winds blowing from being this high up vanish.
Curious, Sol approach the barrier and touched it.
His hands passed through it like it wasn’t there, though small ripples appeared in the barrier that drew a few disciples’ gazes.
"It allows exit but prevents entry. It’s an extremely high-level Formation Array. I also see the Jeagal Clan’s linking method being used."
"We will now leave for the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimension! You are free to do as you please until then, but fighting while on this ship is prohibited! Those caught fighting will be severely punished!!"
Sol suddenly felt the ship beneath him tremble and rise into the air.
"It’s actually flying."
Yoon-Jae next to him rolled his eyes at his words.
Sol look at MArtial Alliance City and saw that it was getting further and further away. He soon turn to face the horizon when he could no longer see it clearly.
The only thing he saw was a vast expanse of clouds above and large mountains below.
Slowly the ship picked up speed until they were traveling quite fast.
Sol thought the ship would be rocky, but it was unnaturally stable; as if he was standing on solid ground.
This was his first time truly seeing the outside world.
Sol couldn’t pry his eyes from the different sceneries the ship passed.
After thinking for a moment, Sol used his Heavenly Eyes, and his vision enhanced.
The ship wasn’t flying extremely high so he was able to observe the ground down below.
Using his Heavenly Eyes, Sol saw large forests that stretched for miles on end, then wide grassy lands the next.
But what stood out to Sol as he continued to observe the scenery was how many Spirit Beasts he saw.
These lands were infested with them.
If all the Cities had walls like the Martial Alliance City, he would understand why that was the case.
As Sol was observing the ground, something in the air caught his attention.
It was a Spirit Beast capable of flight.
Sol increased his Heavenly Eyes a bit and he saw that it was a slightly large bird that resemble an eagle.
"What’s wrong with its wing?"
Sol saw that the bird was struggling to fly. One of its wings was bloodied and wasn’t flapping properly.
Sol tilted his head and after thinking for a moment, he took off his massive golden bow.
Yoon-Jae who was nearby had his brows creased at this. But his eyes then widen when he saw Sol knocking back his bow.
"What are you doing?!"
Yoon-Jae cried out when his brain processed what Sol was about to do.
"I’m just testing something out."
As Sol said that, his bow resemble a golden crescent moon as he pulled it all the way back. Immediately, green runes lit up on the bow and his robes began to flap despite there being no wind.
"You’re testing something out by shooting your bow? Do you think now is the right time to test this thing out?!"
Suddenly, Wood-type Aether gathered from the surroundings and was drawn to the bow by the green runes.
A large arrow quickly coalesced between the bow.
It took a while to describe, but the process was extremely fast.
Sol’s actions also drew the gazes of the alchemy disciples in the surroundings.
"Sol!"
"It’s okay Brother Yoon-Jae, I’m just shooting an arrow. It won’t cause much of a disturbance."
Yoon-Jae frowned.
Meanwhile, Sol’s eyes locked onto the bird in the distance that was getting further and further away.
After doing a quick calculation, Sol lifted the bow into the air and let go of the arrow.
There was no loud bang nor was there any shockwave when the arrow was released despite the build of energy.
However, as the arrow pierced the barrier, ripples did appear in it that spread to cover the entire ship.
Yoon-Jae smack his forehead when he saw this and heard the commotion of the other disciples on the deck.
"WHO DID THAT!!"
An angry roar echoed across the ship for all to hear.
"Oops..."
Sol said with a nervous smile.
"Idiot."
Yoon-Jae couldn’t help but shake his head.
