The Great Sword is not the Main Body!
Chapter 190 – The Primordial Beast

In this moment, Delia’s light was not bright.

It wasn’t sharp as before. It wasn’t dazzling.

It simply contained the minimum energy needed to kill a single beast.

Crackle—

Electrical currents spreading outward transmitted the positions and movements of thousands of beasts.

Her mind, heated to its limit, calculated the most efficient routes based on this information, and her body—honed to razor sharpness—moved without the slightest hesitation.

The optimal path for slaying magical beasts. The most economical use of magical power, without a speck of waste. As time passed, as more beasts fell, Information accumulated. Experience deepened.

Because of this, Delia’s hunting speed increased exponentially.

Flashes of light flickered across the chaotic battlefield. With each flash, dozens of heads burst apart. Pierced, cleaved, burned to ash. Between the endless chain-like currents, the beasts’ screams leaked out.

Around Heinzel, corpses of beasts bloomed in all directions. Their brain matter scattered like grotesque blossoms.

At the center of this nauseating sea of blood and death, Delia’s eyes flickered with light—parts of her body already oxidizing into pure radiance. Her unyielding, unbroken will turned toward Leviathan.

The reptilian eyes of Leviathan, with their vertical slits, widened. New emotions replaced the boredom and mockery that had filled them before.

Interest. Delight. Anticipation. Ecstasy.

But that was all. Despite her minions being indiscriminately slaughtered, Leviathan’s main body remained hidden beneath the earth, showing no intention of surfacing.

Her continued dismissive attitude enraged Delia even further. With a contorted expression, she threw herself once more into the forest of beasts.

CRACK-BOOM—!

Each time Delia’s foot lifted, harsh lines carved into the earth below. The lines became cracks, and the cracks became cliffs that swallowed the beasts whole.

Still not satisfied, the chasms that had swallowed the beasts erupted with blinding pillars of light that howled skyward.

The light beams stretched toward heaven, illuminating and splitting the sky. What split became swords. Arrows. Spears. They became hammers and axes.

Transforming into every weapon imaginable, the lightning pierced the beasts’ bodies, leaving massive scars across the earth.

Yet still, it failed to reach Leviathan’s true body. It failed to erase that detestable smirk from her face.

Hiss—

The light consuming Delia’s body finally devoured her entire right leg.

Her form wavered as she gritted her teeth. A flash of brilliant yellow followed, and a new leg of pure light formed in its place.

Despite the loss, Delia didn’t falter. She steadied her breath. Regaining her center, she stretched her hand toward the sky.

The lightning that had seeped into the ground rose once more. It twisted and tangled in the air, shaping itself into something new.

A massive hand.

A hand so overwhelming it appeared to have been plucked directly from a god. The beasts’ screams grew louder at the sight.

The clustered beasts scattered. The formation that had spread in all directions now converged on a single point.

All the beasts’ fangs aimed toward Delia.

Scorching breath erupted from her lungs as she observed. Blood poured from her nose, eyes, mouth, and ears. Her skin split open. Blood burst through the cracks. Muscles tore and veins twisted.

Drip— Thick droplets of blood, sweat, and pain fell to the ground. Faint electric currents leaked from these fallen drops. The leaking currents wrapped around Heinzel’s body, shielding him.

And then, Delia clenched her fist. The giant hand in the sky mirrored her movement, curling into a fist.

The beasts’ screams intensified. Leviathan’s pupils narrowed.

Slowly, Delia swept her arm through the air. Following her movement, the giant hand descended from the sky toward the earth.

———!!

Light cascaded from the heavens like a blinding waterfall. Like the apocalypse itself, lightning obeyed Delia’s will and blanketed the land. Light so fierce it burned just to look at it devoured the beasts.

And then again. Delia’s hand, now partly transformed into light, rose once more.

Lightning, denser than before, gathered in the sky above the light-covered earth. It obscured the black sun and pierced the darkness with brilliant radiance.

“All of you, just die.”

Delia’s hand fell. The lightning, compressed to its limit, manifested physical form and plummeted toward the world.

An indescribable roar. Power beyond all limits shattered the land. The landscape twisted. The sky fractured.

A surging sea of light. It split outward from Delia, then converged again. It flowed, gathered, and surged.

When it was over, all that remained on the land where tens of thousands of beasts had been vaporized were:

Heinzel—still unconscious but regaining color. Leviathan’s shadow. And Delia—half her body oxidized into light.

Her frail body wavered. With her held breath finally released, fragments of scorched blood and organs flowed out. She had lost both arms. Her right leg. Her left eye. Her organs were burned. Her entire body was torn apart.

Her once-glossy hair had lost its luster. Her once-brilliant eyes were clouded. The radiant True Energy that had once filled her body faded.

As if her remaining life was now measured in moments. Helpless, she began to wither away.

But her will remained steadfast. Her killing intent toward Leviathan only intensified.

Light swirling in the air gathered around her body. It formed new arms, a new eye, crafting a new body.

“Haa…”

With that light and thunder just now, surely someone must have seen it. They must have noticed the battle here. My presence, Heinzel’s presence.

Sooner or later, Someone, Anyone, Reinforcements will come.

So, I must endure. Until Heinzel awakens. Until help arrives.

Standing her ground here and now, she had to stop that monster.

“…Come out, you bastard.”

Crack— Her voice was broken and weak. But its intensity was sharper than ever before.

In the heavy atmosphere, Leviathan’s eyes, filled with hostility, stared directly at Delia.

And then, moments later.

Boom—

The massive body of Leviathan, which hadn’t moved until now, began to stir.

Swaaah—swaaah—

Not an illusion, but reality. Not natural mana, but Leviathan’s power. A tide of force beyond comprehension engulfed Cartia.

Under crushing pressure that made even breathing difficult, a hand of light pulled Heinzel’s body backward. It placed him in a depression in the ground and covered the area with a layer of light.

It probably wouldn’t mean much, but still. It might offer some small protection.

“In a situation like this, you certainly sleep soundly… baldy.”

After staring briefly at the unconscious Heinzel, Delia tapped his forehead lightly and stood.

Clutching her trembling body. Forcing out her labored breath.

She turned around.

And there,

Rising above the earth,

Stripped of all emotion and radiating pure hostility, Leviathan loomed over her, staring down at Delia.

“Hah… shit. Should’ve asked for a kiss while I had the chance.”

Coughing up thick blood, Delia gave a hopeless smile and drew forth her remaining True Energy.

In response, Leviathan’s body rose into the air.

Graceful movements, as if swimming through the sky. Movements that seemed completely at odds with her appearance, as the wave sounds around them intensified.

Bubble, bubble— The natural mana floating around them was absorbed into Leviathan’s body. It transformed into foam that swirled through the air. A force that shook the foundations of the world. The catastrophe of a false paradise. The primordial beast that had devoured even gods.

She opened her jaws.

Leviathan’s mouth—like the gate to hell itself—twisted. Rows of teeth gleamed, aligned like blades. Devastating power surged across her layered hide, impenetrable even to the wind.

Within her mouth, the flames of hell began to rise. The shadow of death stretched outward. The end of all things brushed against the nape of Delia’s neck.

Before this, the small human—

Recalled the path she had walked, searching for the foundation of the world connected to her soul.

She reached toward the heavens she could never touch. She recalled the wish etched into her spirit.

She rejected the darkness covering the world. She pushed away the shadow that had killed her family.

She affirmed the light that would surely come. She followed the light of the one who had guided her to this point.

She closed her eyes. She recalled the prayer for her fallen family. The wish she had made for her own future.

The flower field of spring she would never see again. The sunlight of summer. The fallen leaves of autumn. The snowflakes of winter.

The back of the man who had once saved her. The person she could never reach again.

And then, she whispered the vow she had once desperately prayed:

I am the one who twists the foundation of the world.

I am the one who will reach the sky.

I am the one who will drive out the darkness.

I am the one who dares challenge the gods.

I…

…Offer everything.

To become the one who will reverse the heavens.

Light unfurled.

Light bloomed as if to tear apart the heavens, gathering above the mortal’s head. Fragments of light, falling like silent snowflakes, touched Delia’s body. With each touch, her form dissolved further.

Yet Delia paid it no mind and continued drawing out her remaining True Energy. Her life. Her time. Everything.

The shape of light, drawn from everything, began to distort. It wrinkled, tore, then fused again.

The brilliant yellow turned pure white. The pure white became transparent.

It formed an indescribable concept. The wish she had so desperately yearned for.

What emerged was a boundary of light that split earth and sky. A horizon that marked where darkness ends and light begins.

A massive spear.

Named:

The Divine Spear.

“Brionac.”
