The ground beneath him trembled, but the spell failed to press him further before it lost all it’s powers.

But this brief distraction was all Dragov needed as it allowed him to close the distance, with his right claw aimed straight for Alec’s heart.

Reacting swiftly, Alec dissolved his axe and conjured his Blood scythe Back in its place.

With precise movements, he spun the scythe that was coated with flaming aura, creating a rebounding vortex of flames that deflected Dragov’s attack.

Without hesitation, Alec switched to a reverse grip and swung the scythe upward in a powerful arc, and Dragov was forced to retreat to avoid the attack, but he wasn’t quick enough, as Alec’s strike landed, leaving a deep gash across his chest.

The scythe’s bonus properties inflicted a bleeding effect, causing Dragov to bleed profusely.

For the first time, Dragov found himself on the defensive, retreating as he noticed a critical issue, his mana reserves were dangerously low.

Yet, observing Alec’s sustained offense, he guessed that despite Alec’s abnormal mana pool he must also be nearing his own limit too.

So he Decided to gamble everything on a final attack, Dragov positioned his both hands forward and prepared to charge.

With a roar, Dragov launched himself off the ground, his wings folding around him as he spun at high speed, resembling a massive drill barrelling toward Alec.

Alec, undeterred, leaped off the ground to meet him, with a swift motion, he hurled the scythe forward in a spinning attack, the weapon still connected to him by the blood chain wrapped around his arm.

As Dragov spiralled toward him, Alec twisted in mid-air, pulling the scythe back with the chain to maintain control and amplify its destructive power.

One side resembled a colossal spinning drill, the other a deadly, whirling weapon, the two forces hurtled toward each other, the air charged with tension.

But while all attention was locked on their clash, an ominous event unfolded unnoticed, the space gate above them had begun to expand silently, its dark energy spreading in stealth.
