705: Infernal Mage Alec vs Dragon Prince Dragov 2: Second Seal.

“Give up and surrender; there’s no way you could ever defeat me,” Dragov declared, finally recovering from the shock of Alec possessing a specialized spirit equipment set made just for him.

He wasn’t overly concerned about that; he was confident in his victory over Alec.

His self assurance stemmed from the fact that his dragon scales provided protection on par with Tier 5 spirit equipment, and it was specifically tailored to his bloodline, in that regard, Alec was merely matching him by donning his Infernal Mantle Set.

Furthermore, Dragov was emanating a Mid Tier 6 aura, while Alec was still a low Tier 5 mage.

Despite this, Alec didn’t feel like he was battling someone of that caliber.

Dragov was a genius, exceeding all expectations, capable of fighting above his rank, even though he projected a Mid Tier 6 aura, his battle prowess was dangerously close to that of a Tier 7 mage.

Though he lacked the mental abilities tied to creating a domain that normal Tier 7 have but was confident he could dismantle any peak Tier 6 mage in just a few moves.

This confidence allowed him to treat Alec with a certain respect, as he appreciated that Alec could match him for this long despite being in a lower realm; however, Dragov preferred that Alec wait until he was stronger before challenging him directly.

With his desire for battle somewhat quelled after Titan’s death, Dragov found himself asking Alec to surrender, sensing that the fight would soon become dull now that Alec had lost his “top toy”, a term Dragov used to describe Alec’s golems.

“How can you just nonchalantly ask me to surrender without truly facing me?

You’re acting as if you can already see the future, but the truth is, you can’t,” Alec said, his tone steady but laced with defiance.

“I’ll put everything I have against you, I won’t stop until I’ve made you pay for the damage you caused to Titan.

And if I lose in the process, so be it.”

With that, Alec turned his blade toward his chest.

[> Blood Changdao – Second Seal – Reaper’s Connection <]

Murmuring the incantation, Alec activated the newly unlocked seal of his Blood Changdao.

The crowd collectively gasped as they watched him drive the blade into his own chest.

A hush fell over the arena, the tension palpable.

Despite the violent act, Alec showed no visible expression of pain on his face.

Though a groan escaped his lips, but the blade didn’t pierce through his back.

Instead, with every inch he pushed it deeper, a crimson wave seemed to wash over him, his already infernal mantle set transformed, exuding a fiendish aura.

Bloodlust poured from Alec in waves, so intense that a small blood mist began to materialize behind him, coiling like a vengeful phantom.

Dragov, standing across the battlefield, observed keenly, his hand resting on his chin.

A faint smile tugged at his lips as his fighting spirit reignited at the new display of Alec, he was genuinely intrigued by this transformation, eager to see what Alec’s next move would be.

When Alec finally plunged the entire blade into his chest, a series of notifications echoed in his mind.

[> Ding <]

[Second Seal of the Divine Weapon Blood Changdao has been unlocked.]

[For each mastered weapon equipped, a corresponding bonus will be applied.]

[Second Seal Special Skill Activated: Blood Weapon Creation.]

Once everything settled, Alec raised his head and fixed his gaze on Dragov.

The red glint in his irises caught Dragov’s attention, and despite the overwhelming scent of bloodlust emanating from Alec, he remained unfazed; after all, Alec was still merely a low Tier 5 mage.

Without uttering a word, Alec dashed toward Dragov, having completed his preparations.

He had no desire to engage in conversation with the mage responsible for Titan’s injuries, his only wish now was to tear Dragov apart.

Seeing Alec charging at him, Dragov mirrored his movement, and in an instant, both mages became blurs to the audience as they dashed around the battle stage, most of whom struggled to keep up with their speed.

Alec extended his right hand, and a katana formed from blood solidified in his grip, shimmering like red ruby.

It felt as if this katana had been crafted with the Bone Katana in mind; the design of the hilt was identical, although this one gleamed with crystallized blood.

The blade was predominantly red, with a black tinge running along the cutting edge.

[Equipped with a blade-type weapon; Second Seal powers adding effect]

[Blade Mastery: Intermediate Level 4]

– Weapon damage increased by 45%

Alec noticed the information flashing before him, but he didn’t focus on it; he was entirely absorbed in the impending clash with Dragov.

Clank!!!

The sound of Alec’s blood katana meeting Dragov’s wind-infused claw attacks reverberated throughout the arena.

Each strike was a showcase of their respective specialties, with Dragov unleashing claw Qi augmented by scythe like wind blades, while Alec countered with flaming infused slashes, intermittently launching fire bombs that trembled the entire arena occasionally.

After their initial exchange, both fighters took a step back, a small smile crept onto Alec’s face as he assessed Dragov.

He had faced Dragov before and sensed that it would require a lot more effort to overcome him without Titan’s help after Dragov had entered the third stage of his transformation

But after equipping the Blood Katana, Alec quickly realized how much easier it was to inflict wounds.

He then recalled the system notification he received claiming that by wielding blade type weapons granted him increased weapon damage.

Sensing an opportunity, he decided to create another Blood Katana with his left hand, planning to dual-wield and elevate his weapon damage to a total of 90%.

However, just as he formed the second katana, the system sent him a notification:

[> Error!]

[Cannot stack bonus of the same weapon twice.]

Alec understood immediately and dissolved the second Blood Katana he had created.

On the other side, Dragov could hardly believe his eyes.

Once again, Alec had found a way to bypass his defences, leaving cuts all over his wing which he had been utilising as his shield.

It felt as though he were fighting without the protective barrier of his dragon scales, leaving him baffled by how easily Alec had penetrated his defences.

As he watched Alec dissolve the second katana, Dragov felt a mix of frustration and admiration.

Here was someone who appeared almost clueless about the significance of his actions, yet he was continuously finding ways to challenge Dragov.

And the thrill of the fight invigorated him; the more he clashed with Alec, the more excitement surged through him.

Looking down at himself, Dragov noticed that his regeneration had kicked in, healing most of his wounds, and he felt ready to re-enter the fray.

The rush of struggle and the sensation of pushing his limits when clashing against Alec excited Dragov like nothing else had in a long time.
