The Golem Mage
Chapter 673 - 673 Closed Curtains

673: Closed Curtains 673: Closed Curtains The moment Vincent casted the spell, the entire audience watched as the wind in the air around him began to swirl as they were being drawn into a chaotic tornado fuelled by the mana he had unleashed, transforming into a massive and wild vortex.

But Vincent wasn’t finished; since he had executed a combination spell rather than a standard one, he sheathed his sword and performed a series of intricate hand signs like a shinobi before expelling flames from his mouth toward the tornado’s core.

Instead of clashing violently, the two different elements fused together, creating an even more potent spell that surged toward Dragov with increasing speed.

But Dragov still remained composed in the face of the oncoming attack, as he inhaled sharply gathering energy, to the untrained eyes, it appeared as though he was simply breathing in the wind.

However, the experts seated in the first and second VIP sections recognized that he was absorbing the mana in the air to enhance a spell he was about to cast.

[> Mid Bloodline Spell – Dragon Breath <]

After reaching his limit in his current form, Dragov tilted his head back and released the breath he had been holding, unleashing an azure flame in a cone shape towards the Flaming Tornado.

The audience fell silent, their eyes glued to the converging attacks.

Bang!

A deafening explosion reverberated through the stadium, causing it to vibrate violently, the light shield flickered again, threatening to crack, and like that the red haired referee who had previously disappeared as the match began, appeared above the shield, holding a dark-looking cane.

With a small smile, he tapped his cane against the shield, reinforcing it and astonishing the crowd with his display of power, in an instant, another shield appeared above the first one, fortifying the defence of the audience

The explosion momentarily obscured the view of the audience, but soon they spotted a figure flying out of the smoke, which they all later identified as Dragov due to his dragon-like equipment.

Not long after, Vincent emerged from the haze as well, positioning his knee to strike Dragov’s midsection.

But Dragov was quick to defend himself, raising both hands to shield against Vincent’s knee strike.

An echoed boom sounded as Vincent’s attack was halted.

Undeterred, Vincent withdrew his leg and launched a flurry of strikes with his right leg, landing three consecutive blows to different parts of Dragov’s body.

The first aimed at Dragov’s lower knee, forcing him to raise his leg in response.

The second attack was aimed at Dragov’s waist, but it was swiftly blocked by a strike from his right palm.

The final strike targeted his neck, forcing him to raise his left hand in defence, however, the impact sent him sliding sideways due to his unsteady stance.

It didn’t take long for Dragov to regain control as he put pressure on his leg, stopping his slide.

[> Mid-Tier Spell – Flame Blast <]

Dragov had barely regained his balance when another attack came his way, he quickly clapped his hands together, generating a massive wind wave that collided with the incoming fireball.

“I can just create more of those,” a voice called out.

Dragov looked up to see Vincent levitating above him, his right hand raised, with multiple flaming balls identical to the one he just destroyed hovering around Vincent.

“Are you excited yet?” Vincent taunted, as Dragov realized he had not just being outmatched in speed this time.

He had tried to compete on equal footing, but it seemed futile, he couldn’t afford to hold back any longer if he wanted to survive.

Despite Dragov’s remarkable talent and powerful bloodline, Vincent’s combat prowess and strategic foresight gave him the upper hand.

And after equipping his spirit armour set that brought him a little closer to the power boost Dragov received from his first transformation, Vincent had swiftly regained control of the fight with his graft battle sense.

As Dragov pondered his next move, Vincent’s words snapped him back to reality.

“Fall!” Hearing those words, Dragov finally let go of all restriction as he unleashed another Bloodline seal inside him.

[> Bloodline Transformation – Second Form.

<]

That was the last sound they heard before the multiple fireballs collided with Dragov, resulting in another explosion that echoed throughout the stadium, leaving a ringing sensation in the air.

The audience, along with the two vice captains in the distance and Vincent, who was levitating above, all watched intently where the massive fireballs had detonated, anxiously awaiting to see Dragov’s condition.

They were certain he had survived because if he had succumbed to the explosion, the white light would have descended to remove him from the arena, the absence of the white light indicated he was still alive.

“Where the hell are you looking?” Vincent was caught off guard as he heard Dragov’s voice from behind him, while he was still looking down.

Without turning to confirm whether it was truly Dragov or not, he swung his sword backward, however, before his hand could go any further, a vice-like grip clamped down on his wrist.

Vincent turned to face Dragov, only to receive a powerful punch to the face that nearly knocked him out, it felt as if he had been struck by a massive tree branch.

[> Mid Tier Spell – Air Distortion <]

Dragov cast another high-level wind elemental spell, as his left hand became enveloped with an unstable aura.

With tremendous force, he slammed Vincent down, sending his body crashing into the Grand Arena floor.

Boom!

Vincent was completely forced slammed back into the ground from the air by that one punch.

The crowd turned their gazes towards Dragov, who was hovering in the air, and they quickly realized that much had changed about him.

Unlike the first form of his transformation, which had made him appear as if he wore dragon-made equipment, the second form transformed him into what looked like a complete demi-human.

His body was entirely covered in dragon scales with the only gaps being the little cracks in the scales that looked more like rune drawings, and two small dragon horns protruded from his forehead though they were minimal, they were unmistakably present.

And that wasn’t the only change; Dragov now also had a tail.

As Alec observed him, he felt that Dragov’s second form closely resembled his own Drake Form to some extent, though there were several distinct differences, such as Dragov’s two tiny dragon horns and the spikes on Alec’s back.

Vincent pushed off the ground, causing Alec to refocus on the match, but Vincent was sent back down faster than he had risen.

This time, Dragov descended as well, grabbing Vincent by the head and repeatedly slamming it into the ground until the white light appeared above and shot down to take Vincent away.

All of this happened in just a few seconds, leaving the audience in shock at how easily Vincent had lost and them asking how Dragov seems to have teleported to behind Vincent; even the Bloodline Academy supporters momentarily forgot to cheer for their captain.

In that moment, Dragov emanated a primal aura, and it was clear to those trying to read him with their mental powers that his aura had settled firmly in the low Tier 6 realm following his second form transformation.

Although they were unaware of how Dragov had escaped the bombardment that seemed to be Vincent’s last significant attack, but they began to realize that the Bloodline Academy would likely face the War God Mage Academy in the finals.

Even Vladimir, who was still engaged in battle with Damien, stopped when he realized his captain had lost.

In a decisive move, he stabbed his sword into his own chest without remorse, this shocking act left many stunned, even though they knew he wouldn’t actually die from such an attack; but this just shows Vladimir had made peace with the outcome of his captain losing.

As the last member of the Battle Mage Academy was recalled from the battlefield, the voice of the referee echoed around the Grand Arena once more.

“And we have our winner, the second participants of the inter academy competition finals, the Bloodline Academy!” The red-haired referee shouted, and the fans of the Bloodline Academy erupted into cheers again as Dragov’s transformed state swiftly returned to normal.
