The Goddess Made A Mistake Again
Chapter 389 - 389 - Sitting One Out [ Part 3 ]

"Boom!" "Boom!"

"Boom!" "Boom!"

Powerful electric rays strike down upon the base with relentlessness. Without no defense, it was almost too easy for the base to break down and fall over its own people.

"Shit, somebody do something!"

"Is this it? Am I not going to go back to Sheryl anymore?"

"Forget your stupid Sheryl! I still haven't fucked the grandma from Room 32B!"

"Seriously… what's wrong with you?"

Some already put their fate up to end and couldn't do anything while others put up defensive spells around them and tried to hide in safe places.

Some did survive, but the damage from the Railgun was so massive that now there was a big hole with parts falling off from what once was the base's roof.

Those that survived and could still move, went outside to attack the soldiers while others that had barely survived but needed rest, groaned on the floor and let the victor decide their fate.

"Don't stop attacking, we need to finish them off now!"

"It's now or never fellas!"

The bandits came together to attack what seemed like a half fallen Religias army. But they didn't know that it was about to completely turn upside down.

"You guys can stop now and rest." Klein said to the mage group behind him. "It's time that we finally showed the true purpose of plan A, Oppet."

Oppet nodded and brought out his sword. He was going to jump into the fight with this next command as well, "Soldiers! No more half-assing it, show them your true power!"

"Rise up and kill them!"

"Haargh!" In collaboration to Oppet's words, the soldiers whom were carefully blocking and attacking before, dropped off their shields and went on the offensive.

But that wasn't what gave the bandits a shock.

It was the burned soldiers from before that suddenly sprang up from the ground and attacked them.

It was a total shocker to them as they thought the soldiers had died by their attacks. But that was just a ruse Klein used to trap them.

The soldiers had indeed gotten hit by their bombs but they had already prepared for it. The armor the soldiers wore, were not only heavy but also had fire resistance spells applied over them multiple times.

That's how they not only survived the attack but used the momentum to trap the bandits. The bandits whom didn't know of such, continued forward without care of their bodies.

So when they suddenly sprang up under them, the bandits were completely defenseless against their attacks. Sure, some were able to come out of the shock and defend, but that was only for a while as they couldn't last long against the battle hardened soldiers.

That wasn't the only problem the bandit had, there were the other soldiers who put down their shields and went to attack them. So now, the bandits were covered from all sides and didn't have an escape route to run away.

"Shit, shit, shit! These bastards got us all surrounded!"

"We're sitting motherfucking ducks over here!"

"Fuck, I definitely won't get to fuck that grandma!"

The surrounding bandits and soldiers stopped for a moment and gave the guy a serious look, 'For real, brotha?'

"Why you all looking at me like that? You don't understand! That grandma has some real moves on her… especially with how she turns with her wheelchair."

Somehow, the story became even worse than they thought.

"Th- They weren't dead all this time?" The soldiers surrounding Henry exclaimed in shock.

They weren't the only one, Lucian and the spy also had gaped mouths as they saw blurred figures attacking the bandits.

All while, I chewed on sausage and had a decent smile. Unlike my temporary companions, I saw everything from here.

It was almost like watching a cinema in 3D, except the sound was way too damn low to understand anything.

"You knew…" I hear Lucian say from behind as I nod generally.

"Yeah, I did tell ya before."

"Bu- But… how?" Lucian asked, "Did Captain Klein inform you of this plan before?"

"Nah nah, nothing like that." I shook my head while focusing more on the sausage and sauce. My words were a bit jumbled with me talking while chewing them, "It'ds more lik, I jaw them vore ten you guygs jaw them."

"What?" Lucian asked.

"He meant he saw more clearly than us." The spy exclaimed and I give him a like.

"What he geid."

The spy handed me a water canteen as I down it and clear my mouth, talking fresh again, "What the spy said."

The spy didn't like being called the spy. But only tuned his head down in defeat knowing there was no changing Henry.

"How is that possible? They are more than 2 Km ahead. It should be impossible to see so far ahead." Lucian said and thought, "Unless… your using some kind of sigmat."

He looked at Henry's hand and frowned seeing the one. Lucian knew it was the sound sigmat so how was it possible. It became even more cryptic with Henry's next words.

"You can think it close to something like that."

Without thinking about Lucian's confused state, I get up and clap my hands to get rid of the crumbs and other things related to food. Then I take my sword and turn around, "Let's go back, the shows over."

Seeing Henry walk away, Lucian wanted to stop him and ask many questions, but didn't. For one thing, it was obvious Henry didn't like him because of Margaret and secondly, Lucian couldn't get himself to lower anymore before the man who's going to take his love.

We get back to the temporary camp and wait for Klein's company to come. With most of the soldiers out, there were only a few in the camp that was stationed to defend it.

It took half an hour for Klein and his company to arrive. The first thing Klein did was to order around the people in the camp. It was mostly about healing the soldiers and taking a final sweep of the base.

After he was done, Klein looked for me and came.

"Congratulations, you won." I say.

"Did you find my victory, impossible? Or rather lucky?"

"Not really, I would say it was a planned attack that went perfectly well." I see him nodding at my words, "But you can't disband that, luck didn't have any factor in it."

"Yes, luck did have a factor in it. Any plan, no matter how much well thought it is, won't always go the way you want. Luck would be needed on some cases." Klein said, "But that doesn't mean luck is the only thing that's bringing your plan to fruition, it's you and those mentioned in the plan."

"So tell me, what did you learn while having your small picnic?"

I think for a moment before going for what came to my head, "Always plan ahead?"

"You sound cautious." Klein said then shook his head, "But it's alright. That much would do for now."

"So what's the plan now captain?" I ask playfully.

"Without word from the commander, there isn't any." With that, Klein turned around and walked away while ending with, "Understand the basic and implement the right pawn Henry. It's the only way you nobles can thrive."

"Did something happen sir?" The spy came.

"No… the guy just gave a realistic advice to me and took a cool exit."
