"I am Ren Xingzhou, the caretaker of this zoo, mainly responsible for looking after and feeding those animals, especially the fierce ones."

"Could it be poisonous?"

Ren Xingzhou ladled a bowl for her then served himself. In front of her, he took a sip of the soup and then a bite of the wild mushrooms.

"I’ve already had some. If it’s poisonous, I’ll be the first to die. What are you afraid of?"

After saying that, he began eating heartily.

Nan Yu stared at the bowl of chicken meat and wild mushrooms, contemplated for a moment, and then picked it up.

She tasted the soup first and her eyes suddenly lit up.

The broth was fresh, delicious, surpassing any soup she had ever tasted—truly exceptional!

As Ren Xingzhou ate, he said, "I can’t really get my hands on any delicacies up here in the mountains, so I make do with these mountain delicacies and wild chickens. Not bad, right?"

Nan Yu nodded slightly, "Delicious."

Ren Xingzhou chuckled, "If it’s delicious, then eat more. Fill yourself up so you’ll have the energy to take care of those animals later."

Nan Yu asked, "How should I take care of them?"
