Chapter 1334 - Chapter 1334 Chapter 1433 Fang Lin vs. Juechen

Chapter 1334: Chapter 1433: Fang Lin vs. Juechen Chapter 1334: Chapter 1433: Fang Lin vs. Juechen Sensing the saber qi within his body, Yin Wuyan knew something was amiss. The saber qi was too fierce; if he allowed it to remain within him, he feared it would cause him great harm.

Without any hesitation, Yin Wuyan’s figure shifted and he immediately fled into the distance, while the two strands of small bells at his waist jingled crisply.

As the sound of the bells continued to ring, an invisible and gentle force entered Yin Wuyan’s body, gradually dissolving the saber qi within.

Juechen wanted to pursue but found his body stiffening, unable to move.

Only then did Juechen realize that his nape had been punctured by the golden brush. Although it was merely a superficial injury, there was certainly some trick to that golden brush, perhaps it was even poisoned.

Luckily, the stiffness of his body didn’t last long; it took only a few breaths before he recovered. However, those few breaths allowed Yin Wuyan to escape far away, beyond any hope of pursuit.

Juechen watched coldly in the direction of Yin Wuyan’s escape, touching the wound on the back of his neck. It was only as small as the eye of a needle, yet the blood wouldn’t stop, clearly indicating that golden brush was quite problematic.

“This woman must be from the three sects, her methods are indeed clever,” Juechen said.

Just as he was about to return to the volcano below, a figure quietly appeared in front of him.

“Hey there, you’re looking well,” the person said with a light chuckle, greeting Juechen as if they were old acquaintances, though he couldn’t even recall Juechen’s name.

Seeing this person, Juechen’s eyes instantly turned cold, and his aura rose once more, as if he was ready to attack at a word’s notice.

“Why so agitated? I’ve got no quarrel with you. Let’s not start with threats and violence,” said the newcomer, and despite his grin, he didn’t seem afraid of Juechen in the slightest.

“Unexpectedly, I meet you here,” Juechen said, his tone even and his expression indifferent.

The person before him was Fang Lin.

After leaving the Supreme Saint Hall, Fang Lin had used the mark left on Yin Wuyan to locate her. But upon arriving, instead of finding Yin Wuyan, he encountered Juechen.

Fang Lin was surprised, and noticing that Juechen seemed to have just gone through a fierce battle, he deduced that Yin Wuyan had encountered Juechen and that they had fought.

“I didn’t expect to see you here either; indeed, it must be fate,” Fang Lin said with a smile.

Juechen watched Fang Lin with an icy gaze, a hint of murderous intent diffusing into the air.

Fang Lin, despite his smiling face, also had a hidden killing intent in the depths of his eyes, indicating his readiness to confront Juechen.

It was no wonder; though the two had no personal grievances, as inheritors of the Supreme Saint Hall, their status made them adversaries upon meeting.

Fang Lin wanted to seize the Supreme inheritance from Juechen, and Juechen harbored the same intentions.

This was their second encounter; the first was in the Chaos Demon Valley. When Juechen appeared, Fang Lin and several others joined forces but struggled to defeat him.

Now, Fang Lin was confident in his ability to battle Juechen, and even saw an opportunity to triumph over him.

“You’ve become much stronger than before,” Juechen said, slightly moved.

Juechen clearly remembered the first time they met in the Chaos Demon Valley; at that time, Fang Lin seemed very weak in his eyes, utterly negligible. Had the Silver Fox’s avatar not aided Fang Lin, Juechen would have likely slain him with a single slash.

“That’s because you’ve been progressing too slowly, so I caught up to you,” Fang Lin said with a faint smile.

Juechen laughed without replying. He acknowledged Fang Lin’s rapid progress. How long had it been since their time in Chaos Demon Valley? Back then, Fang Lin was only a Martial Artist at the Spirit Vein level, but now he was on the verge of reaching the Spirit Source level. Such a promotion speed was extremely dazzling and terrifying anywhere you looked.

And Juechen? A hundred years ago, he was already at the Ninth Layer of the Spirit Bone realm. He sealed himself until he re-emerged in the present, and although his realm had improved, he had not yet stepped into the Spirit Source realm.

Compared to Fang Lin, Juechen’s pace of advancement was indeed a bit slow.

But this was not due to a lack of innate talent on Juechen’s part; rather, it was a conscious choice. He wanted to accumulate a strong foundation so that, upon breaking through to the Spirit Source level, he would be able to sweep through all opponents invincibly.

If Juechen wished, he could step into the Spirit Source realm right now, but that would not meet the standard in his own heart and would leave regrets.

Moreover, for a talent like Juechen, advancement in realm was not everything. The main pursuit was the strengthening of his own inherent power.

“Did you just have a fight with a young girl?” Fang Lin asked outright.

Hearing this, Juechen did not try to hide it and nodded.

Seeing the nod, Fang Lin displayed a teasing look: “How did it go? Did you win or lose? You look like you didn’t get much of an advantage.”

Juechen said, “Whether I lost or won, it doesn’t seem to be your concern. Since you’ve shown up, just hand over the inheritance.”

Fang Lin laughed heartily, “That works out. I also need the inheritance you carry. Hand it over to me.”

As soon as these words fell, Juechen’s eyes suddenly flashed with cold light, and he swung his precious sword with abrupt force.

“Ouch? Aren’t there any cloth strips on your sword anymore?” Fang Lin joked, as the Mysterious Sea Dragon Spear appeared in his hand. He did not dodge, choosing instead to meet Juechen’s attack head-on.

Clang~~~

The sound of metal clashing reverberated painfully in the ears, and at the spot where the two weapons collided, even the air seemed to twist slightly.

The shaft of the Mysterious Sea Dragon Spear suddenly bent, almost forming a semicircle, and Fang Lin’s expression was stern as he immediately adopted a technique to deflect the force, diverting much of the power from Juechen’s sword.

As a result, the Mysterious Sea Dragon Spear survived the encounter, otherwise, the force of that strike might have very well broken it.

Juechen’s attack was extremely fast, and after one sword slash, another wave of relentless strikes came immediately, giving Fang Lin no chance to breathe.

Seeing this, Fang Lin unleashed the Kylin battle armor, covering his entire body, and pumped the Power of the Demon Bone into his Mysterious Sea Dragon Spear, allowing the spear to withstand Juechen’s powerful blows.

Even so, Fang Lin still felt it to be quite strenuous. Juechen’s power was truly terrifying, enough to utterly crush any Spirit Bone fighter, and not a whit weaker than a high-level master of the Spirit Source second or third Layer.

Fang Lin was alarmed, but Juechen was even more shocked in his heart.

The reason being, Fang Lin was actually managing to clash with him head-on without falling behind–in fact, giving as good as he got. This was far beyond Juechen’s expectations.

“Hmm?” In the heat of their battle, both Fang Lin and Juechen frowned simultaneously, their eyes revealing a hint of surprise as they turned to look at each other.

“Have you absorbed the power of other inheritors?” Fang Lin and Juechen almost spoke in unison.

ps: Fourth update, that’s it for today. I thought Chongqing was warm, but it turned out to be so cold. Caught a cold last night, I’m totally out of sorts, feeling completely drained…
