Chapter 1333 - Chapter 1333 Chapter 1432 Juechens Tactics

Chapter 1333: Chapter 1432: Juechen’s Tactics Chapter 1333: Chapter 1432: Juechen’s Tactics Pfft!

A mouthful of bright red blood spurted from Wuyan’s mouth, some of which stained her dress, rendering a poignant yet vibrant beauty.

In her fierce duel with Juechen, Wuyan ultimately lost by a slight margin.

“You’ve lost!” Juechen sheathed his knife and stood erect, not spitting any blood, merely a slight paleness on his face along with a slightly rapid breath–far better than Wuyan’s bleeding condition.

Wuyan’s expression turned somewhat unsightly as she wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand, feeling a mixture of reluctance and surprise inside.

Wuyan’s defeat was not due to her being weaker than Juechen, but because she was not in good condition. Previously in the Second Array, her arm was severed by a sword strike from Fang Lin and despite its recovery, a severed arm’s injury and the lost vitality were not something that could recover quickly.

Moreover, Wuyan had been continually evading the magma before, which also considerably depleted her Inner Strength. Her condition was far from optimal, nowhere near her peak form.

On the other hand, Juechen was different; he had been honing his Knife Skills within that volcano, in excellent condition and at the peak of his vitality and spirit. With his already formidable strength, he naturally had the upper hand in their engagement.

“You only won by a little; if I were not injured, could you have beaten me?” Wuyan said with evident displeasure.

Juechen replied indifferently, “You’re indeed not in your best condition, but I also didn’t put forth my full effort. I still had reservations. If I had gone all out, you would still have lost.”

“Anyone can claim that. I haven’t even used my full strength yet either,” Wuyan retorted defiantly.

“Since you’ve already lost, I’ll take your head now. Announce your name; I don’t kill nameless people under my knife,” Juechen declared, gripping his treasured knife.

The treasured knife, no longer wrapped in cloth, revealed its true form–its silver brightness shimmering and the blade strikingly radiant, albeit without overly special features, it was clearly an exceptional knife.

With a knife in hand, Juechen was truly Juechen; for him, the knife was an integral part of his body, absolutely indispensable.

Hearing this, Wuyan chuckled, “You still want to kill me? Aren’t you thinking too highly of yourself? Can you kill me?”

Juechen looked at Wuyan coldly and suddenly moved, swift as a shooting star, appearing behind her.

A clean, sharp strike aimed directly at the back of Wuyan’s neck, intending to sever her head in one swift motion.

Such ruthlessness, utterly devoid of any mercy or hesitation, devoid of any trace of faltering when he struck.

“You’re quite fast,” Wuyan also swiftly dodged, sidestepping Juechen’s strike and putting distance between them.

Juechen’s strike missed, and he frowned slightly, seemingly dissatisfied, his gaze towards Wuyan filled with an even stronger intent to kill.

“Within three strikes, I will take your life,” Juechen declared and swung his knife at Wuyan once more.

Juechen’s knife was incredibly fast, and within their realm, there were few who could evade his strikes and had to resist head-on.

But Wuyan moved unpredictably and was equally fast; she always managed to effortlessly avoid each strike.

The second strike missed as well, Wuyan lightly tapping in mid-air several times with her jade feet, her movements agile and nimble like a sparrow, dodging this majestic second strike.

Juechen had seen, by now, that the girl was not only powerful but also highly skilled in movement technique. Aside from the physical body not being exceptionally strong, she had virtually no obvious weaknesses.

Although Juechen’s face showed no expression, he felt somewhat surprised by Wuyan’s prowess, given her young appearance. Unless she, like himself, had chosen early self-seclusion, it was astounding for someone so young to possess such abilities, truly worthy of being called a peerless genius of an era.

Of course, Juechen himself was a genius among geniuses. A hundred years ago, traversing through the Nine Countries, only a handful could stand as his equals; the rest who were deemed young talents were merely chickens and dogs in his eyes.

“You have already made two knife strikes, only one left–can you kill me?” Wuyan asked, quite pleased with herself.

A hint of a cold smile appeared on Juechen’s face; he did not act rashly. He knew the girl’s movement technique was extremely fast, and his knife speed was only comparable at best, insufficient to kill her.

Therefore, Juechen chose another method.

He raised the treasured knife in his hand, and soon the magma from several volcanoes below started to boil over, converging toward Juechen.

Wuyan slightly changed color but remained very calm, confident that the other could not kill her with the next strike.

“This strike, which I have pondered for a long time and now gleaned some insights, let’s see how powerful it is,” Juechen said. The treasured knife in his hand screamed, sweeping up roaring magma towards Wuyan.

Visibly, the rolling magma transformed into the shape of a knife, not only possessing the sharpness of a blade but also the scorching heat of the magma itself.

This magma-turned-blade was immensely majestic, as if it could split mountains and part seas. Seeing this, an ancient character flickered on Wuyan’s forehead, and in a flash, she disappeared without a trace.

Boom~~

The strike passed, and Wuyan had not been cut down. She had escaped.

Seeing this, Juechen silently sighed. The opponent indeed had strength and wasn’t someone easily killed. Failing to take her life within three strikes made Juechen feel slightly uncomfortable and somewhat stifled.

“You were careless!” Wuyan’s voice suddenly rang out. She had not fled, but appeared behind Juechen, pointing a golden pen at the back of his neck.

Wuyan’s face was pale; just to dodge that powerful, fierce strike from Juechen, she’d consumed too much strength and was now somewhat overly exhausted.

Nevertheless, Wuyan had seized the opportunity and took control, holding Juechen’s life in her hands.

Juechen showed no surprise, “Indeed, you are formidable. It’s been a long time since I’ve encountered someone like you.

“So much nonsense–do you want to live or die?” Wuyan said impatiently.

Juechen’s expression remained unchanged, “Do you think you’ve won?”

“Isn’t it obvious? Your life is in my hands. I could kill you right now if I wished,” Wuyan said, pressing the golden pen slightly harder, causing Juechen’s neck to be pierced, blood flowing out.

“My knife, although it didn’t touch you, the knife energy has already entered your body. Haven’t you noticed?” Juechen said.

Upon hearing this, Wuyan initially stared blankly, then her expression drastically changed.

An incredibly terrifying knife energy was rampaging inside Wuyan’s body as if determined to mess everything up before ceasing.
