Chapter 1329: Chapter 1428: Flame Saber Slices the Starry Sky Chapter 1329: Chapter 1428: Flame Saber Slices the Starry Sky The sword strike came out of nowhere, Fang Lin was startled for a moment, yet being a young expert himself, he extended a finger. The Hao Qi of the Confucian school gathered at his fingertip, emitting a beam of light that collided with the powerful sword aura below.
Boom~~~
A loud noise erupted as the sword aura scattered in all directions, its brilliance fading just as the light from his fingertip dimmed.
Fang Lin stood suspended in midair, his handsome brows slightly furrowed, with an expression of solemnity and doubt.
That sword strike had put significant pressure on Fang Lin. Had it been any other martial artist with slightly lesser strength, they likely wouldn’t have been able to withstand it.
From the strength of that sword strike, Fang Lin deduced that his opponent’s strength must be at least at the first or second level of Spirit Source.
At the same time, Juechen, seated within the volcano, also opened his eyes, his indifferent gaze turning towards Fang Lin above in the sky.
“It’s a perfect time to test the power of my new knife skill,” Juechen murmured as he casually waved his hand, as if it were a knife, towards Fang Lin.
A formidable surge of knife energy swept directly towards Fang Lin, strong enough to seemingly cut through everything in heaven and earth.
Fang Lin dared not take this lightly. The Heaven Step technique was immediately enacted as he stomped down towards the knife energy below.
With a roar, the robust and magnificent knife energy was instantly diffused by Heaven Step, its force barely reduced, continuing towards Juechen below.
A flicker of surprise finally appeared on Juechen’s emotionless face. It seemed he hadn’t expected this woman to possess such strength.
“Well done!” Juechen shouted as he shot upwards, not retreating or evading in the slightest, choosing the most direct approach to deal with the attack.
Juechen’s body surged with energy, the aura around him making him resemble an unsheathed wild sword, filled with a frightening presence.
The Heaven Step landed fiercely on Juechen.
With a muffled groan, Juechen’s figure was forced back several steps but managed to quickly stabilize himself.
After all, Juechen was Juechen. Once the proud ruler amongst the youth of the Nine Countries a hundred years prior, his strength remained formidable even after a century in seclusion.
Fang Lin watched Juechen coolly, a sense of caution rising within her. She knew that with Heaven Step, even Fang Lin would hesitate to take it head-on, but this man did just that and appeared unscathed.
“Who are you?” Fang Lin demanded, her beautiful eyes scanning him intently, trying to discern any clues.
“Your strength is not weak; it merits my full effort,” Juechen replied, not addressing Fang Lin’s question, but instead stating this.
Fang Lin snorted lightly, “I think you’re just average, you were still at a disadvantage just now.”
Juechen’s face remained expressionless as he blandly said, “That’s true, but now I will also make my full effort. Can you still gain any advantage over me?”
“Humph! Of course! Who do you think you are?” Fang Lin sneered, sending a palm strike thundering towards Juechen.
Juechen stood his ground, countering with a palm strike of his own. As their palms collided, both their faces revealed a serious look.
Whether it was Fang Lin or Juechen, each could feel the formidable power of the other, far beyond any other martial artist of their realm.
Especially for Juechen, this feeling was particularly strong.
It had been a long time since he had encountered an opponent who could match him. A hundred years ago, when he was full of vigor, there were one or two who could compete with him. But now, he could find no one in his realm worthy of a match.
This dissatisfaction made Juechen yearn for a strong opponent. Only by clashing with the mighty could his blade become even sharper.
Now that Fang Lin appeared, Juechen finally found someone who could match his strength, igniting his excitement even more.
“Fight me again!” Juechen roared without using his knife, engaging in hand-to-hand combat with Yin Wuyan.
Yin Wuyan felt the same way; she never liked using weapons and preferred to fight unarmed most of the time.
After a long struggle, Yin Wuyan realized this guy probably had never been fighting with his full strength, or rather, he wasn’t in his optimal condition at the moment.
Seeing that the prolonged fight was going nowhere, Yin Wuyan quickly lost interest, not wanting to tangle with Juechen any longer. She executed rapid Heaven Steps, kicking Juechen into a rather sorry state.
“What an impressive move!” Juechen praised, holding Yin Wuyan’s Heaven Step in high esteem.
“I can’t kick you to death!” Yin Wuyan cursed, as an ancient character emerged on her forehead, dramatically boosting her momentum and doubling her strength in an instant.
Seeing this, Juechen knew the girl meant serious business and stopped holding back, shouting, “Knife, come!”
Boom~~
From the volcano, lava surged into the sky, bringing with it tremendous waves of fire.
Yin Wuyan was startled and immediately retreated. Seeing this, she mistook Juechen as the guardian of this place.
Juechen reached out his hand and from the rolling lava, a treasured knife flew out, landing in his grasp.
With knife in hand, Juechen was truly A Sword Stroke Dusty.
“Slash~” With a fierce cry, Juechen swung his treasured knife, slashing violently at Yin Wuyan without the slightest mercy.
From this one stroke, it was apparent Juechen was the same type of person as Fang Lin, one who could ruthlessly destroy beauty without a shred of compassion.
Even if it was the most beautiful woman, people like Juechen and Fang Lin wouldn’t show mercy – kill if it’s time to kill, slash if it’s time to slash.
As the stroke approached, Yin Wuyan’s vigilance soared, feeling that this strike was completely different from the techniques Juechen had used before.
If earlier Juechen had merely been testing his edge, now he had deployed his true specialty.
Without any hesitation, Yin Wuyan unleashed martial arts she had used in the past, with a piece of starry sky emerging behind her.
Boom!
This expanse of starry sky burst forth, crushing down on Juechen’s blade.
The blade’s light crumbled, vanquished by the starry sky, which continued its formidable advance, threatening to engulf Juechen entirely.
“Even if it’s the starry sky, I shall slash it with one stroke!” Juechen bellowed, flames suddenly erupting from his treasured knife.
Heaven-Burning Slash!
In a howling gust, flames and blade aura intertwined, their synergy exponentially increasing their power.
A flaming blade edge, formed from the fire, directly sliced into Yin Wuyan’s expanse of starry sky.
This was the clash of their strongest abilities, neither holding anything back.

Within the Supreme Saint Hall, Fang Lin sat cross-legged, silently recovering from his injuries.
That Nether assassin ranked tenth, the emaciated man, was now delirious, resembling nothing so much as the living dead.
