With everyone in the office holding their breath, Michelle stood in front of David Elether, who was sitting on the couch, and observed the state of the void around him. Glancing back at Alexander behind her, she summoned her soul energy, forming a black ball of condensed void in her hand. "Alexander, how did you end up with the void in your body?" she asked as she focused her gaze on the ball of void and started slowly enlarging it.

Alexander lifted a brow. "Why do you want to know that?" he asked.

"Depending on how you got it, I’ll choose a method to approach it. If you don’t tell me anything, I don’t know if I should send my soul energy through your spirit veins into your dantian, or if I should just ram it into your body." Michelle explained lazily as she brought the ball of void right next to David when she deemed it big enough.

Seeing that at the moment, she needed to have her full focus on David, Alexander remained quiet, but he frowned a bit when he saw Michelle put her hand on David’s shoulder. Suddenly, he felt like the shoulder was an eyesore. But he didn’t say anything.

With one hand controlling the ball of void to spread it into a ball of mist, and the other sending a thin thread of her soul energy into David’s body, Michelle coated David’s whole body in the void and let it rage around him for a while, so the void connected to him would let go of him and connect to her void.

After remaining like that for about three minutes, Michelle started condensing the mist of void back into the thick ball of void and pulling out the void she had sent into David’s body. In the next two minutes, she had a ball of void between her hands, clearly bigger the it was before she used it on David. Pulling the ball to her chest, she closed her eyes and absorbed the void into her body, making her frown a bit, as she felt somehow stuffed in her body suddenly. But within the next few seconds, the feeling disappeared.

"How do you feel?" Michelle asked as she opened her eyes and lowered her hands. When she did that, everyone was shocked to see that her eyes were completely black. Like her whole eye was just the pupil.

"He’s fine, but you aren’t," Alexander muttered as he grabbed her by the shoulders and forced her to sit down on the couch.

Being pushed down, Michelle frowned. "Hey-?!" she glared at Alexander, but then she felt his hand over her eyes and powerful pressure immobilize her.

Waiting for a while, Alexander only lifted his hand off Michelle’s hand when he felt the soul energy in her calm down a bit. Seeing that her eyes were turning purple again, he lifted the pressure off her shoulders.

In an instant, Michelle formed an ice knife in her hand and sliced it toward Alexander’s chest, but he just dodged it with a laugh. "You... bastard..." she gritted her teeth. "Why would you do that?" she glared at him.

"Michelle! Calm down!" Ivona quickly rushed over and grabbed Michelle from behind, holding her still on the couch. "He helped you, so don’t attack him!"

Hearing that, Michelle frowned and turned her head to look at Ivona, her eyes taking on a slight shade of red. They would have been completely red if the soul energy hadn’t been swirling in her eyes just a moment ago. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"First of all," Ivona sighed, not liking the redness in her eyes. Though she didn’t know what it was, she understood it was connected to Michelle’s emotions. "Calm down and remain sitting. And second, listen. Your eyes turned completely black because your soul energy was swirling there. He kept you sitting down so it would calm down."

Taking a deep breath to calm down, Michelle turned to look at Alexander. "Can’t you communicate like a human?" she asked with a cold smile. Her eyes were still red, but the purple was already returning.

Alexander just shrugged. "You wanted to hear how I ended up with the void in my body. Still want to hear it?" he asked as he lazily sat down on the armrest again.

Finally calming down, Michelle closed her eyes and leaned her head against the couch behind her. "Tell me," she said with a sigh.

"To put it simply," Alexander started, his voice lazy and relaxed, as if it wasn’t something that concerned him. "When I was passing through a rift I opened in space, someone was fighting nearby and hit the rift. The rift fell into itself, and the space, where it was, turned into a hole of void. I opened another rift to get out of the space, but the void was blocking me a bit, so it took me a while to get out of it."

Listening to that, Michelle lifted a brow. "So basically, your body got soaked in void, so it got into your body and entered your dantian, where it started causing trouble. Do I understand it correctly?" she asked.

"Yes. Something like that." Alexander nodded.

"Okay..." Michelle stood up. "Sit down and I’ll check it first," she said as she started condensing her soul energy between her hands into a big ball. Just like when she was pulling the void out of David, the ball was a thickly condensed mist of her soul energy.

Sitting down, Alexader watched Michelle form a thicker and thicker ball of mist. Finally, she put her hand on Alexander’s shoulder and let the thick mist spread around him. Then, she put her other hand on his other shoulder and started moving the soul energy within her body to her hands and seeping it into his body. When she did that, the soul energy in the air started seeping into Alexander’s body, forcing him to close his eyes with a frown, as it was not a comfortable feeling.

With her grip on Alexander’s shoulders subconsciously tightening because she had to fully focus on controlling the soul energy, Michelle sent the soul energy through his spirit veins down to his dantian, while the soul energy, in the state of mist, seeped through his flesh, blood, and bones, filling his whole body to search for the void within him.

When she finally found it, her eyes widened at the sheer amount of it. If she absorbed that, the stifling feeling of her soul being unable to fit into her body would be much bigger. But since she promised to help, she would do it. Opening her eyes, Michelle glanced at David and the rest and spoke: "All of you, leave this room. I might end up filling it up with void."

The moment her words fell, Kieran and the rest listened to her and left the room, knowing better than to go against her when she had her full concentration on curing someone.

With everyone gone, Michelle closed her eyes again and concentrated on moving her soul energy within Alexander’s body to connect it with the void within him, because, though her soul energy was identical to it, there was too much void in his body for her to control it all at once.

For a good half an hour, she kept a tight grip on Alexander’s shoulders, her soul energy swirling chaotically not only within Alexander’s body but also all around the room. The whole time, Alexander’s eyes were shut, and his brows were tightly knit together in discomfort.

Finally, Michelle suddenly took control of all the void and soul energy and pulled it out. The amount was so great when it left Alexander’s body that it filled the whole room with a thick, black mist. Controlling it to condense and shrink, after a while, Michelle had a huge black ball of viscous liquid in front of her.

Alexander opened his eyes and watched as Michelle put her hands on the sides of the ball and it slowly turned into a bunch of black chains which wrapped around her arms and then her whole body before seeping into her skin, making her grit her teeth at the feeling of being filled with something foreign but familiar at the same time. Once again, her eyes turned completely black, but that wasn’t all; as if crying, tears started dripping down her face, but they were black. Also, her nails and hair turned completely black, too.

Alexander wanted to step in, but Michelle sat down and glanced at him. "Go out! If the void gets into you again, I’ll twist your neck!" she said with gritted teeth.

Understanding the situation, and knowing that Michelle was safe, Alexander sighed and left the office, closing the door behind him.

For a long while, Michelle sat in the room, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists in discomfort bordering on disgust as she tried to contain the soul energy within her and seeping out of her body. Very quickly, the whole office was once again filled with void mist, but it wasn’t as thick as before. Absorbing it once again, she felt the stifling feeling once again as more black tears started falling from her completely black eyes. Once again, mist filled the room, but it was nearly transparent already.

Absorbing it for the last time, Michelle leaned back against the couch and relaxed a bit. Her eyes, hair, and nails were still black, but black tears were no longer staining her face.
