Chapter 203: Dawn Of The War (2)
Arren expected the war to come, but not this soon, or at least he still hadn’t expected it to happen at this time. If not for his hands at his mouth, he might already have made a sound, revealing his presence to the two. Fortunately, he managed to hold it in.
And so the conversation continued, and their footsteps stopped, but their voices were much louder now as they seemed to be standing near the desk.
"In the next two days before the operation starts, we’ll gradually tighten the security of the entrances and exits to the capital, especially airports, and sea ports. You all need to be vigilant with these places." Spade’s calm yet solemn voice sounded once more, with Serrien giving a response of assent.
"That’s it for now." Spade’s voice softened, his tone noticeably changing. "I received a report that Arren has already arrived here. I’ll meet him first, and we’ll continue tomorrow."
There were some footsteps again, as Arren could already see someone’s feet from where he was, and he knew it was Spade. The alpha was now about to sit in his seat!
"Then, shall I cancel the assembly tomorrow, Your Majesty?" Serrien asked.
However, at this time, Spade didn’t respond immediately, like earlier. Arren’s heart pounded as the alpha was now standing just in front of him and not moving. He resisted the urge to lift his head and look up to see the alpha, but Arren didn’t manage to do so and raised his head in the end.
Slowly, he looked up, and instantly he met those amber eyes looking at him. Spade looked speechless as he only stared at Arren, but Serrien, who didn’t know what was up, the alpha only seemed lost in his thoughts.
Arren, who was now caught by Spade, was only embarrassed for a second before he recovered. He removed his hands from his mouth and gave Spade a grin before winking at him and mouthing, "Hello, boyfriend," and if not for Serrien’s presence, he would say it in the most coquettish tone he could muster.
Spade blinked, and not long after, amusement filled those stunning yet intimidating eyes of his.
"Your Majesty?" Serrien, who had yet to receive a response, couldn’t help but call the alpha.
He didn’t leave his gaze on the alpha, while he still crouched at the desk, he was now more comfortable and giving a teasing glance to Spade, clearly enjoying their situation.
Spade shifted his eyes for a second and looked at his secretary. "No, the assembly will proceed as planned." the alpha responded calmly like usual, as though he hadn’t been stunned a few moments earlier. "We don’t want them to be suspicious of us yet."
Arren rested his chin on his knees while watching the alpha converse on their plans. He always found Spade attractive no matter what he did, but when he was talking with his subordinates, it had an added effect on his image in Arren’s eyes.
After a while, as though sensing his intense gaze, Spade returned his gaze to Arren and looked below. Narrowing his eyes with a faint amused glow, a ghost of a smile appeared on his lips, which only Arren could notice.
Spade raised his head again. "Let’s talk about this tomorrow, you may go." He abruptly dismissed Serrien, who was a bit taken aback, and now also looked suspiciously at the desk and what Spade was looking underneath.
However, he didn’t ask and instead complied with the order, "Yes, Your Majesty." Serrien bowed and proceeded to leave.
Arren’s grin also widened after Spade’s dismissal of Serrien; he was the only one who was aware of why. He didn’t say anything yet; in fact, both of them just stared at each other. Only after the door was gently closed did Arren become brave enough to playfully flirt again with the alpha and speak.
He still had yet to move from his position and seemed to have no intention to leave under the desk for a while, looking up at the alpha.
His eyes glowed with some intensity as he stared at Spade; his gaze lowered for some time before raising it again, and he bit his lips flirtatiously.
"Somehow, this position isn’t really bad." His voice didn’t conceal the fiery meaning behind his words at all, and he was sure that Spade could understand what he meant by that.
Spade couldn’t hold his smile this time, and he even chuckled, shaking his head in interest. "What are you doing hiding there, Arren?" his head bowed looking at Arren, but his expression turned serious with still gentleness into it and added, "If I didn’t hold myself, I almost hurt you. Don’t sneak in like that again, alright?"
Spade tried to sound like he was reprimanding Arren even though it was still soft, and in the end, it only sounded like he was reminding the omega. What he said was true; when he entered the room earlier, Spade noticed something amiss in the room.
Even if Arren didn’t change or move anything, he still sat on Spade’s seat. And for someone like Spade, who had a keen perception and was very familiar with his study, he had some suspicions that someone was inside the study or had been there.
Sure, his study was installed with the latest pheromone sensors, but who knew if the organization had some means to counter them? And as he slowly roamed his eyes around while talking to Serrien, he slowly approached his desk, looked at it carefully, and indeed found someone there.
However, it wasn’t some kind of spy, but... Arren.
Arren laughed at this; he momentarily wanted to prank the Alpha a bit, so he didn’t think in that direction.
"And you’re laughing?" Spade was at a loss for words; he was truly weak when it came to Arren. He sighed but was affected by the omega’s laugh. "Come on," he motioned, and he offered his hand so that Arren could stand up.
Arren took and held Spade’s offered hand indeed, but he still didn’t move but instead tugged playfully at the alpha instead. Smiling wickedly, clearly with some intentions in his mind that Spade had grown used to now.
"What is it?" Spade’s voice, tinged with helplessness, made Arren laugh even harder.
He wanted to make the most of their time, treasuring each moment to the fullest now that he was aware of the chaos finally happening. So, he wouldn’t ask for anything heavy that could ruin their atmosphere, but instead, Arren planned to always be there for Spade and distract his thoughts for a while.
Arren tugged Spade’s hand, playing with the fingers as he did so. "Why don’t you sit first?" instead of answering the alpha, he asked, but it was more of a request that was hard to be refused.
Spade’s brow arched up, and he looked at him suspiciously, to which he only laughed, "Sit first, my neck is already hurting looking up at you so much." He motioned again for the chair before them as he tugged the alpha closer.
Of course, his neck hurting was only an excuse that Arren knew Spade noticed. After all, if Spade sat on the seat and he was still sitting on the ground under the desk, he would still look up slightly.
The alpha looked at him and guessed what he was on about this time, but Spade still did what he said and sat while Arren smiled victoriously.
They stared at each other, Arren grinning widely, while Spade looked at him helplessly and waited to see what he wanted to do next. Their positions remained unchanged, but Spade was already sitting on the chair, legs spread wide since Arren was under his desk.
However, in this position, Arren could see the bulge between his legs clearly even if it wasn’t erect; the outline of it could make one salivate for some reason, and he knew at a glance how big it was if exposed!
Arren was no exception. As he gulped and licked his lips, he subconsciously averted his gaze and looked up at Spade’s face instead.
Damn, honestly, his intentions were only to tease the alpha, and he swore he didn’t have any kind of ulterior motives. But for some reason, he remembered he was always so horny for Spade, and it intensified whenever the alpha was around!
When their eyes locked and Spade was looking down on him as he was now basically sitting between the alpha’s legs, there was suddenly a significant change in the air, and Arren was not the one who could feel it!
Spade raised a brow at him, his lips curling up.
"You want to stay like this?" he asked deeply, amusement evident in his tone.
Arren’s cheek flushed at the question, hinting at something, their hands interlocked. Sometimes, this could easily be seen as a soft image, but with their position, it had an erotic touch to the image instead.
But of course, he wasn’t the one who could be easily defeated in the area of flirting either, even if he already influenced the alpha after the months of them being together.
His cheeks had a touch of crimson, and his eyes alluringly shone. He looked up and bit his lips. He now moved his head and rested his chin on the alpha’s knees as their eyes met.
"What if I want to do something else?"
