The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra

Chapter 196: A Day With Arren And Rave (2)

As he looked at the road outside, he couldn’t help but feel a bit melancholy. He didn’t know when the peace would be shattered. He sighed, and Arren shook these thoughts out of his head and decided to enjoy hanging out with Rave.

Who knew if this would be his last time for a while enjoying this kind of peace again?

Not long after, their car slowed down as they arrived at the place where the crowd and establishments were the most concentrated. Although, they wouldn’t really interact with others. Arren and Rave were in some kind of disguise so that they couldn’t be recognized, especially for him. whose face was practically well-known now in the Empire.

Their itinerary for this short trip was shared beforehand with Spade so they could plan their routes and security in the vicinity. Of course, Arren still kept Rave’s matter a secret and didn’t say they would meet his subordinates, only saying it would be the omega’s friends. However, with how clever Spade was, he might already have an idea of what the truth was anyway.

They got off the car once they arrived at their first destination, and both stood beside the car. Arren dawned on his newly dyed pink hair and a black beret hat, wearing a checkered cardigan crop top that exposed his stomach slightly and black loose pants. It seemed that even with a black mask on his face to hide most of his features, he was always eye-catching, as some people couldn’t help but look in their direction as he stood and lifted his head to look ahead of him.

Rave stared at him with his usual judging eyes, speechless. The omega couldn’t help but shake his head and roam his eyes around, afraid that someone might really recognize Arren at this point.

Arren chuckled casually, "Don’t worry. No one will recognize me now with my new look." He even flicked his hair and touched his mask, as though gesturing that he was in disguise.

Rave rolled his eyes, unconvinced, and eyed Arren. "We’re in disguise, so we can’t attract attention, but..." he turned and looked around, before returning to Arren with helplessness in his voice. "You still stand out, Arren."

At this, Arren seemed unaffected and even hooked his arms around Rave and laughed, not minding what he said or even though it was a compliment.

"Thank you," he laughed loudly as he saw Rave’s eyes reveal a disgusting light that even without seeing his full expression, Arren could already see clearly. "It’s not my fault I always stand out, Rave," he said without any ounce of shame, admitting that he knew how attracted he was.

Truthfully, though, even if they did stand out a bit, that was only momentarily, as people’s attention would shift right away. It was a busy metropolis; who would care too much about looking at random people? At best, they would be curious about who it was and then quickly move on their way.

Instead, Arren shifted their attention, tightening his hold toward Rave and leaning closer as he smiled.

"Enough of that, Rave. Let’s eat first. I tell you, this is my favorite restaurant. I’m sure, you’ll love it too!" he exclaimed with enticement in his voice and apparent excitement.

And with their first stop, eating lunch at a restaurant! As Arren often said, he was a foodie with a huge appetite and a variety of foods that he could eat. Contrary to what people believed, Arren’s favorite place in the capital was not the bars and clubs at night but the restaurants and coffee shops!

He tried a lot of restaurants, fast foods, and cuisines, and no doubt, this restaurant served one of the best he ever tasted in the capital. On this trip, he wanted to share with Rave the favorite spots he often visited in the city and hoped he would enjoy them too.

There was no use if he was the only one enjoying it. So with that thought, he already dragged Rave inside a huge building where the restaurant was located. Their arms were still interlocked with each other as they strode the hallways and rode the elevator.

Along the way, they both earned stares from passersby, as their builds were obviously omegas. Arren had to admit, in these establishments where nobles and the rich frequented, there were a lot of asshole alphas who thought of them more highly than anyone else. However, as much as possible, even if he was already irritated by their stares, he ignored them all.

"Hello," he smiled at the staff that welcomed them at the entrance. "Here’s our reservation card." He didn’t wait for him to ask and gave the card to him. Their reservation was not in their name and was made specifically by Spade the day before. He didn’t even know what names they reserved for their private room, but that wasn’t important anymore.

With the help of the staff, it didn’t take long, and they were already inside their private room. It was only the two of them inside, and they weren’t followed by a bodyguard, but who knew who was part of their security in this restaurant as well? That staff member who welcomed them could potentially be one; he had no clue at all.

And yet it was a bit exciting, for some reason. Arren picked up the menu, and the two chose what to eat as he gave suggestions to Rave based on his experience. All in all, it was a harmonious start.

Arren was truly in his element and relaxed himself. As a result, Rave’s mood also became affected, and he was obviously much more comfortable and less tense. Earlier, he could feel that Rave was conscious of his surroundings. Although he was always like that, how could he enjoy this moment if he was always perceiving his surroundings more than themselves?

"It’s good, right? Here, taste what I ordered." Arren put some of his dishes on Rave’s plate without hearing an answer and smiled cheekily. They removed their masks, to be able to eat comfortably, of course.

He was also cautious, even though he was confident that the one who would serve them was part of their security, Arren only removed his mask when there were only two of them inside.

Somehow it made him feel like he was in some kind of affair because of this hiding, and he laughed at that thought. Was this what superstars felt like whenever they were in public?

Rave didn’t mind as well and tried what Arren gave; he savored it first before his eyes lit up, a rare expression from him. He nodded, revealing that he liked it.

Arren’s grin widened, he was extremely pleased to see this kind of Rave. "How is it?" Even though he already knew the answer, he still asked it, teasing on his tone.

The white-haired omega didn’t make a retort and replied honestly, "It’s really good."

He continued eating, savoring the different dishes on their table. Arren ordered so much that the big table that could be shared by a group of five people was occupied by them alone.

Rave, without care, and taste the different dishes as well. Arren watched the other omega for a moment before he began eating, some kind of delight awakened in his heart seeing Rave like this.

It was worth it to have this kind of bonding, and this was only one of their dates, Arren would make sure of it. He treasured this feeling, eating with a friend, someone you really trust and get along with without pretense, was something he rarely experienced. Out of his friends, Ramon was the one he really considered his real friend.

This might be attributed to the fact that he was afraid to be attached before, always labeling everyone with a character name on their head, so he was a person who was great at socializing but guarded himself at the same time.

Now, Rave was his precious friend, and Arren would always treasure this friendship and this rare moment that they had. Hoping for a beautiful future for them, when there was no need to hide, and they could freely hang out whenever they wanted.

The both of them continued eating, sometimes commenting together on the dishes and even giving compliments while also talking about anything. It was quite a good start to this trip.

Almost an hour later, when they stopped eating and both became stuffed, they needed to lean back on their seats. Arren patted his stomach, which was slightly exposed in his attire, and he grinned.

"I’m so stuffed that my stomach is bulging from my clothes," he laughed, stroking it. Somehow, he thought of Spade. If the alpha was here, he would joke about something entirely different about his stomach bulging. His laugh became louder with this thought.

He expected that Rave would mock him for it, but he didn’t. Instead, his reaction made Arren, who was laughing, fall silent. He stared at the omega; his eyes couldn’t leave Rave, as though he were mesmerized.

"I really love it, Arren. Thank you for bringing me here." Rave, who now had a genuine smile on his face, stared at Arren, his expression completely relaxed as he spoke, much softer and more pleasant to the ears.
