The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra
Chapter 153: Terrified

Chapter 153: Terrified

Arren let out an exaggerated gasp.

"You fucked me the whole night, and you’re still not satisfied?" he exclaimed. "Look, my hole is sore now, please have mercy, Your Majesty."

Spade sighed and stopped discussing this topic for now. He knew Arren too well; if he was like this, they might have another round again because of his mouth.

"Let’s clean up first." He stood up, not minding the hot yet sleepy gaze that was directed at him by the omega as he scooped him up and carried him as well in the bathroom.

Arren didn’t object and let the alpha, actually, he was just lightening the mood. Now that Spade had come back to himself and his rut had subsided, his impending punishment would come for real. So he was being especially obedient to him. He was aware that the alpha could sense it too, but he had yet to comment on it.

The bathroom wasn’t big, and neither was the bathtub. Since this wasn’t one of the rooms upstairs, the bathtub was only enough for one person. Even so, he leaned on Spade and acted coquettish once more, in a way, this was his way of coaxing the alpha.

"I want to be with you." He pursed his lips and stared at Spade. His gaze was soft and coy, and the slight drowsiness he was feeling also intensified it.

Spade was still silent before he nodded and put down Arren first as he prepared the tub, and in no time it was filled with water. Arren huddled himself, leaning his head on his knees as he watched the alpha.

They were silent inside, with the sound of the water overwhelming them. And yet Arren wasn’t that scared or uncomfortable with it, unlike when he was in the car before and Spade ignored him.

"Spade, I’m sorry." He blurted it out, and as he became comfortable with the silence, he couldn’t stop himself from starting the conversation and apologizing.

He thought the matter needed to be addressed as soon as possible. Arren didn’t want this kind of atmosphere where it seemed they were only sensing each other and waiting for someone to bring it up.

As his voice fell, even though it was in a hushed tone, it still slightly echoed inside the bathroom. Spade paused his hand and seemed momentarily taken aback for a few seconds before he proceeded and continued with setting up the bathtub without much change of expression.

Arren bit his lips, not taking his gaze off the alpha. Was he being ignored again? It was like how the pleasure and ecstasy that he felt during the past hour was overwhelmed in an instant by the pain of seeing Spade still angry at him.

"Spade," he weakly called him again. "I’m sorry," Arren repeated as though he brushed off the first time as the alpha not hearing him, which obviously he did.

This time, Spade still paused, but he already looked at Arren, and as their eyes met, tension filled the air once more. They stayed like that for a few seconds before the alpha averted his gaze. "You don’t need to say sorry," he responded, and he stood up, focusing on something else.

Arren’s brow furrowed, and he watched the alpha; in fact, he didn’t even know what he was doing at this point, and his focus was only on Spade’s figure. His sleepiness had now completely dissipated, and he was fully awake. He didn’t want to come off as the one who was aggressive since he was the one in the wrong.

But he was becoming pissed off with how Spade was ignoring him and saying he didn’t have to say sorry when it was clear that he was mad! It was as though he was trying to make it seem like nothing happened.

Perhaps if he said something, this matter would escalate to their first-ever fight as a couple.

"You’re mad at me, so I’m saying sorry." His voice became slightly louder than earlier, but his voice almost broke since his throat still hurts.

Then he took a deep breath. He was telling himself that he shouldn’t be the one getting angry because he was apologizing and needed to control his temper.

He continued with a much mellower voice this time again, "I know I’m in the wrong, and I’m sincerely apologizing to you. But you’re still ignoring me," his lips trembled as he added, "You don’t want to talk to me."

Spade didn’t respond for a few seconds again, which made Arren think that the alpha was still ignoring him, and as he was about to say anything, the alpha spoke.

"I’m not mad," he began. His voice was still calm, but he wasn’t turning around as though he didn’t want to look at Arren.

Arren stared at his back with a hurt expression. He didn’t believe this statement at all; if he wasn’t mad, then why was he ignoring him? Why didn’t he want to look at him?

"I’m not really mad at you," he repeated, with a much softer tone, but there was something in his voice. Spade finally turned around and faced Arren. He took a deep breath and sighed before he stepped forward and approached the omega in the tub, crouching down. They were now facing each other much closer this time.

Still, he didn’t touch Arren or anything, and even with them being closer, Arren felt that the small space between them still had a considerable distance. He didn’t like this feeling at all.

"If you’re not mad," Arren said, leaning in the tub, the red marks glistening on his skin. With the tension that was accumulating in the air, no one was focusing on their naked bodies at this point. "Then, why are you not saying anything?"

He looked at Spade straight in the eyes, taking note of all his expressions.

"I’m not mad." It was like Spade was only repeating these words, but he continued speaking, not letting Arren interrupt him. "I’m... terrified."

Arren froze; what he was about to say was stuck in his throat. He stared at Spade, who was also doing the same to him. He couldn’t say anything as the alpha followed with his words.

It was as though this was the catharsis of what he had in mind to surge like a tide. He kept telling himself that this wasn’t the right time for this. The omega was still tired and had to go to sleep first after being tossed around by him when he was in a rut. They could talk about it tomorrow.

He wasn’t purposely ignoring Arren, but he was holding himself back. However, it already came to this, and ignoring the matter could make it worse. Everything that was on his mind and the fear that he felt when the omega disappeared in the sea and did not find him for a whole night flooded him all at once.

"Do you know what I felt when you disappeared?" His voice appeared calm and gentle, but the emphasis and emotions filled deep within was enough for Arren to close his mouth and feel the emotions all the same.

Spade’s jaw clenched as he forced himself to calm down, but he could hardly do anything about it. It seemed this really needed to be addressed sooner; he realized his self-control when it came to Arren... was never the same.

He loved him far too much; if he lost him, Spade would be terrified of the "him" of that time.
