The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra -
Chapter 148: Rush
Chapter 148: Rush
Arren was dumbfounded, but he soon swallowed the lump in his throat and got off the car as well. Spade was only mad now, which was only reasonable.
However... it still hurts to be ignored.
Arren became gloomy at once and fell silent. He glanced at the alpha, who ordered everyone before they walked a path in the forest as cars couldn’t enter inside.
He didn’t let anyone tell him what to do, and he already took the initiative to stand behind Spade, looking especially obedient. Arren was observing the alpha, but he kept his mouth shut lest he further annoyed him.
In fact, even the royal guards with them weren’t used to the ’obedient’ and ’silent’ Arren. It was really a rare sight. Usually, he would keep on blabbering beside Spade, but this time he didn’t dare to.
Arren was aware that he had committed a big mistake, but what he didn’t want to do was dig that grave deeper for himself. Now, the alpha was only ignoring him, and perhaps if he really did, Spade didn’t want to see his face anymore!
They tread the path silently, but it wasn’t peaceful at all. There was still tension in the air, and it was only increasing as they approached the villa.
Spade was still not saying anything, making Arren nervous, but he steeled his heart and maintained his pace by following behind the alpha. He had the feeling that if he didn’t keep up with him, he would only be annoyed even more.
After they passed by the forest through the clean path, Arren looked at the first villa he encountered, which was also where the royal guards had stayed. There was still a long way to go before they arrived at their private villa.
And as they passed by another villa, which was probably the last before the boundary of their villa, Spade stopped. As a result, everyone also stopped, looking at him for his instructions.
Arren was also curious why he stopped. Under their gaze, Spade, who still had his heavy expression, spoke for the first time again after a few hours.
"You can all leave now," his deep and hoarse voice sounded. The authority was heavy in his tone, and for a moment Arren thought he was also part of the people that would leave, but Spade glanced at him before adding, "We can walk by ourselves from this point on."
He was vague, but everyone knew that Arren was included in that ’we’. For some reason, as Spade’s glance landed on him, he couldn’t help but have a tingling feeling inside of him. It was like how a predator looked at his prey that he was about to devour. He gulped and forced himself to calm down.
And yet, even with the nervousness that sprouted inside of him, a more overwhelming sensation engulfed his whole being. It was an anticipation that was slowly and gradually taking over him. He knew what it was—it was desire.
Damn, he didn’t imagine it. He knew that those eyes, despite being heavy and dark, were tainted with suppressed desire.
He stood there, but his mind was already in disarray, and his throat had dried. Even with his instincts telling him to run from a beast that was eyeing him, he didn’t know, but his excitement by far overwhelmed this instinct.
The royal guards with them didn’t say anything and only complied, bowed their heads, and left them. Only a few seconds, and it was only the two of them.
Arren peered at the alpha; he didn’t dare to make a sound. Somehow, he liked this, and it even gave him a new sensation. It was like... Spade was really his alpha. Well, he loved the tolerating and gentle Spade, but he also liked this side of him.
The alpha looked at him for a moment before he spoke, "Let’s go." As he said that, he turned around and began walking as though he were in a rush, not giving Arren a few more seconds of glance.
At this, his eyes couldn’t help but narrow, but he still kept following behind the alpha. He was thinking that Spade didn’t seem to be angry at him, but it was more like he was in a hurry to arrive at the villa.
The silence still shrouded them. Arren was also affected and didn’t have to think about anything or start a conversation. The matter seemed urgent enough for the alpha to rush. Perhaps... his rut was already kicking in?
Thinking of this, Arren knew he was close to the truth, so he also tried to keep up with the alpha and didn’t complain as Spade’s pace had obviously increased once the private villa could already be seen from their position.
Without saying anything to each other, they approached the villa. They had just entered the villa and had only closed the door when Spade looked at him, and in only a split second, Arren couldn’t even react before he was pressed against the door by Spade and was trapped between his arms in an instant.
Their bodies became closer as the alpha leaned on him, pressing his body even more against the door. His eyes blinked, astonished by this sudden turn of events, which he had not anticipated from the alpha doing this in such an aggressive manner.
Arren’s heart pounded, and Spade leaned his face against Arren’s as their faces became closer to each other. He could even feel the hot breath brushing against his face and smell the unique scent of the alpha when his pheromones coiled with Arren.
His knees almost became weak in an instant; the pheromones that were hinting at his rut were too much for him. It almost triggers his heat, which he only experienced last month.
"Spade..." he couldn’t help but mutter and call the alpha’s name; his voice was weak, and it sounded even more enticing instead.
Spade’s pheromones thickened, his throat moved, and he stared deeply at Arren. He thought Spade would do something as his right hand moved, but he wasn’t scared and firmly made eye contact with him. Sure enough, the alpha only caressed his cheek, slowly.
He traced his cheek through his jaw until his chin; the touch was so stimulating that Arren almost gasped and moaned from it alone.
Arren glanced at his arm and his hand, which had angry veins that revealed the chaotic emotions inside the alpha, and yet his touch was still gentle, as though this action of his had already consumed most of his self-control.
He lifted his gaze and looked at the alpha, and his deep and dark amber pupils filled with uncontrollable desire, but he was still stubbornly suppressing it for Arren’s sake. Arren’s mouth parted, and he was almost choked by the emotions within him.
He was so guilty. Spade was still gentle with him, even though he made a mistake. Arren had a crazy thought: did he deserve this alpha after all?
"Are you fine?" Spade spoke, soft but it was still extremely deep in his ears. "Did you have a place to sleep last night?" he went on, asking in deep worry.
Arren was startled for a moment before his lips trembled, the corners of his eyes heated up, and the surge of emotions inside of him boiled.
Fuck! He wanted to scream and pulled his hair out of frustration and anger at himself. He didn’t do anything that he was thinking of, but instead, he pounced on the alpha and threw himself at him as he jumped on him, wrapping his legs around his waist with his arms encircling the alpha’s neck.
Spade reacted instantly and embraced him, supporting his back.
Arren didn’t care if he didn’t deserve the alpha. As long as he was his, he would work hard to deserve Spade. He loved him so much that it couldn’t be described in words anymore.
