The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra
Chapter 144: Chase

Chapter 144: Chase

Even after a few minutes had passed by again, the elder omega was nowhere to be seen. This time, the three of them knew something was wrong and didn’t persuade him to wait a minute longer.

"Can we check on him?" Arren suggested, he was really worried. "You can just tell Spade to look for us there," he told Levin.

The two of them had no objections, it was also not that far and wouldn’t inconvenience them. Having decided that, the three of them began walking in the direction that Mr. Ivo had left earlier.

Arren still hooked his arms around Rave while they walked together; Levin was behind them and still holding the coconut in his hand. He really didn’t know why the alpha had yet to let go of it; for sure, it didn’t have juice anymore.

"Say, Rave, is Spade extremely angry?" He whispered in the omega’s ears. He was curious; he seemed carefree right now, but he was really nervous. Arren didn’t even know how he should face him or what he should say to Spade once he met him.

Arren knew that acting coquettish toward the alpha and asking for forgiveness for what he did was not enough. He might not say it was his fault since he didn’t intend to do that, but in reality, it was also partly his fault, no matter how he denied it.

If he didn’t become immersed in playing around, he wouldn’t wander that far from the shore.

Rave looked at him, not bothering with how close they were. He was already used to Arren’s clinginess.

"His Majesty is not angry," Rave responded, glancing at him. Just as he was about to refute that it was impossible for Spade not to be angry at him, the omega continued. "Angry is not the right word."

Arren paused, his sentence was interrupted, and he closed his mouth again. He fell silent and suddenly became gloomy. Of course, Spade was beyond angry with what he did. The trouble that he had caused was so big that to describe Spade as angry at him would be an understatement.

However, instead of being even more scared to face Spade, Arren became eager. He wanted to appease him and sincerely asked for forgiveness. The alpha was always coaxing him; he should be able to do it as well.

In their silence, they had already reached the place where the car rentals were located. Arren didn’t forget to fix his hat, and he pressed closer to Rave. Levin was the one who took the initiative to lead them forward.

Arren swept his eyes around, searching for Mr. Ivo in the crowd, but he couldn’t see him. He wondered if they had lost each other. There were not many people there, but a few passed by.

"He’s not here," he spoke after a long time of silence and informed the two.

Levin turned and faced him, "Then, did we miss each other?" Since the one they were waiting for was not there, could it be they missed each other when they came here? That was a possible reason.

"Or he is not planning to return." Rave also said his piece, which Arren immediately wanted to retort.

"No, that’s impossible. Mr. Ivo is not like that." He stressed out, even though he had not known the other for a long time, he was still a great help to him.

This time, it was Rave who frowned upon hearing what Arren said; the omega went stiff as he stared at him.

"What did you say?" He grabbed Arren’s hand and eagerly inquired.

Arren was bewildered by his reaction, he didn’t know why Rave would react like this to what he said. Was there something wrong with what he said?

"I said—" he paused in midsentence once more, this time having eye contact with someone. And not only him; even Levin, who was in front, paused.

Someone not far from there stood with his blond hair, even with shades on, for the three of them who were familiar with his face. It couldn’t be mistaken; it was Curt.

Unlike last night, Arren didn’t need to hide this time. He wasn’t alone anymore. Upon seeing them, Curt momentarily paused before he turned tail and run.

Levin, who was in front of them, had a quick reaction; fortunately, no one was in the vicinity around Curt when he suddenly threw the coconut that was in his hand in Curt’s direction, and it hit his back cleanly.

He only grunted though and continued to run, not minding the pain. However, it would still hinder his mobility. Arren was shocked by Curt’s tenacity, the coconut was hard, and his body withstood that.

"Just wait here, I’ll chase him." Levin looked at the two, already fiddling with his phone and putting it in his ears. "Curt is here, come here at..." He talked on the phone and proceeded to give the location; he spoke extremely fast.

Arren had no objection since he couldn’t help much and might become a hindrance instead. Only Rave frowned; he didn’t want to be told to hide at the side, he was not weak. But he didn’t say anything.

"Just wait here for His Majesty." Levin was in a hurry and didn’t say anything anymore before he went to chase Curt, leaving the two omegas.

It only took seconds, and the alpha was nowhere in their sight. Arren couldn’t help but blink as though he had been abandoned. He shook his head and looked at Rave at his side.

Since it was only the two of them, they made eye contact.

"What now?" Arren asked before he hastily added after reading the meaning in Rave’s eyes, "Oh, we can wait to Spade then."

He didn’t have the plan to play again; Spade could arrive any moment now. Arren was determined to obediently wait for the alpha. They sat at the corner, and people in their bathing suits passed by them. Arren couldn’t help but observe them, but his eyes held no interest at all.

As he was looking at his surroundings, he caught sight of someone with a hood looking at them from a distance. Arren stood, squinted his eyes, and stared at that someone carefully.

"Isn’t that Mr. Ivo?" He mumbled, he wasn’t completely sure because if that was the elder omega, why did he need to look at him from a distance and not approach him?

When Rave heard of him, he became attentive. "Who? Where?" his agitated voice startled Arren, it was like earlier.

"There," he pointed in the direction. Rave immediately whipped his head in that direction, and the one in the distance seemed to notice that he was exposed to them and turned around to run.

Arren was shocked. Why was Mr. Ivo running? Before he could think further, Rave was already running as well and chasing the man. He was dumbfounded—why was the omega chasing him?

He didn’t know what was going on but followed Rave and chased the elder omega as well. He only remembered that he was waiting for Spade when he was already far.

Damn, what was going on with these chasing today? Arren couldn’t help but grumble, but he didn’t stop, and he ran with them. He had the feeling he could uncover something with this one.
