The Emperor's Omega Is An Extra -
Chapter 133: Lost
Chapter 133: Lost
He stayed looking at the flowers for a few seconds before deciding to continue on their way. Arren was rather easygoing in his way of doing things. However, he was also pretty stubborn sometimes. It was like once he decided on something, he would stick with it.
It was to his advantage most of the time, but there were times that it got in the way instead. For example, he might have missed something important as he decided to shelve it temporarily and not take it seriously immediately, which in turn might already be too late to address the matter.
Arren never shied away from admitting these things, but habits or a deeply engraved personality could hardly be changed. And that was the premise: he was willing to change.
Not long after, the villa was already visible in their eyes.
"Spade, look, we’re already here." He pointed it out, as though the alpha couldn’t see it.
Well, he just wanted to lighten the atmosphere for a bit. It wasn’t heavy, but there was some invisible veil that shrouded them earlier as the alpha was silent the whole way, with Arren only taking in the beautiful scenery.
Spade had also already recorded his composed expression and smiled gently. "It is." he smiled and dotingly answered.
Arren sensed that the alpha was also in a good mood again, and he became lively once more. "Let’s go!" he exclaimed, and as he ran, dragging Spade, his joyful laughter rang, making Spade forget what he was thinking.
This was the most important. He watched Arren drag him, and his laughter was extremely pleasing to his ears, wiping away all the worries and confusion he had.
Spade also chuckled and tightly held Arren’s hand before he also ran and caught up to the omega and became the one dragging Arren instead. The wind blew their hair and brushed their bodies, the afternoon sunlight, their interlocked fingers, and even Arren’s laughter in his ears.
He savors this moment, the feeling of being free. The sensation of being with the one you love. Spade realized, there really was more to it in life. As he turned and gazed at the omega, he only had one thing in mind: he hoped that Arren’s ability to smile would never fade.
They soon slumped on the beach blanket while Arren ate some watermelon. However, seeing that it was already time for lunch, they ate the sandwiches he had made.
After a while, Arren swam and played around again in the sea. He dove and swam to his heart’s content, and Spade was only around him and watching over him, allowing him to do whatever he wanted.
And at some point, he was the only one in the sea, and Spade was already on the shore, looking at him in the distance. Arren knew it was just giving him time for himself, well, he wanted to be with Spade and do some spicy stuff in the water. But he only shrugged and thought that they still had time to do those things later on.
Arren had the goggles on and observed the fish, which were all docile and swam around him. He was prepared because this had been part of his plan from the beginning; he even had snorkeling equipment and the necessary equipment for deep diving.
However, that could wait until tomorrow, and there were some activities waiting for him, and that included bedtime activities as well. Arren laughed and followed some fish before coming out of the water at once to breathe, then a few seconds again to swim again in the sea.
Fortunately, the waves weren’t that huge in this sea, unlike some famous beaches for surfing. Otherwise, would Spade feel at ease leaving him to swim alone with those monstrous waves hanging over his head? The sea was actually quite calm, perfect for diving and relaxation.
As his head emerged from the water, he blinked his eyes and roamed his eyes around. The sun wasn’t as radiant anymore, as it was about to set. He realized that it seemed he was quite far from the shore. He couldn’t even see it from where he was.
He swam around, and only a few minutes later did he stop and blink. He floated there, and only a few words repeated in his mind. He was lost.
Upon realizing this, Arren’s mouth parted, and he couldn’t help but blurt out, "Fuck! I’m dead!"
Okay, he wasn’t referring to its literal meaning, as he knew if he swam in the direction of the shore, as he wouldn’t believe he was already in the middle of the ocean, Arren could still reach him in a few minutes or even an hour if he truly wandered too far.
It was like he knew that if Spade knew he got carried away from playing around and following those fish to the point where he was now in the middle of nowhere, Arren could already foresee that the alpha wouldn’t let him swim by himself anymore or even limit him.
Spade might have been indulging him and spoiling him with whatever he liked, but Arren was still aware that the alpha was strict and overprotective most of the time.
He bit his lips and started swimming in the direction of the shore, and that was if he was taking the correct route. He was not really adept with directions.
In his past life, he couldn’t go out that much, and in this life he had a driver with him, so Arren didn’t know if he was an innate direction idiot or if that was only attributed to the fact that it wasn’t necessary to bother with directions.
Arren also didn’t have training in any survival skills, much less about what to do when you accidentally wander too far from the shore. However, he still knew that what was important was to stay calm at all times. Fortunately for him, he wasn’t someone who panicked easily. Unless he saw a fin sticking out in the water, Arren could swim with peace of mind.
He loved the sea, and he wasn’t scared of it in the slightest, but it was still different seeing sharks in the flesh. That was one of the biggest predators at sea, and if he encountered one, Arren could only leave everything to fate if he came out alive. Either he collapsed from fright or he became its meal. Either way, he was dead.
As he continued to swim through, and as he remembered that he was also dead after coming back to the shore, Arren could only wallow in tears. However, he couldn’t even blame anyone else but himself. There was even a chance that he could encounter Spade going back to the shore.
An hour later, as Arren was beginning to get tired since he had been in the sea for a few hours and had been playing around since the morning, he never encountered Spade at all.
This made him perplexed—was he already too far from the villa? Arren couldn’t believe he was so immersed in his own world that he wandered so far!
The sun also set when he saw the shore, and he stood in the seabed, the water only reached his waist. His eyes were slightly wide as he trembled, and he couldn’t help but pray for his future once Spade saw him!
He knew the alpha might have been looking at him now and probably panicking to search for him. Arren knew he messed up big time. He looked at the shore, which was definitely not their private area, as it was bustling with activity.
It might not be in the center of Himayana Island, but it was close to it. The area was probably those second-class businesses on the island, but compared to the others, being able to have a business on this island was in itself a show of their financial strength and status.
Arren knew he not only messed up, but he truly screwed up big time! Unknowingly, he was already outside the protected private area. How could he... save himself from the wrath of a raging and worried alpha later?
