Chapter 931: Chapter 208: My Name is Pei Hansan
"Qinqin!?"
The moment Pei Qin was seized, she knew who it was. Hearing the grinding of his teeth, she stepped on his foot, "Let go!"
Even though she was strong, her attempts seemed merely tickling Mo Heng. Seeing her get angry, Mo Heng pressed his long arms around her waist and pulled her into his arms, "How did you end up in the military camp?"
Unable to break free, Pei Qin simply gave up struggling and scoffed coldly, "Obviously, I’m here to achieve merits and serve the country!"
"Didn’t I send a letter home telling you to take Jiujiu and Xixi to the Tian Zhuang in Yongzhou Prefecture first!?" Mo Heng pressed against her head. Even though he missed her, the area was in the throes of war, and yet she had run here.
Pei Qin looked up at him, "I didn’t receive any damn letter, only the damn news that you were spying on the enemy, got surrounded, and went missing!"
Mo Heng’s heart suddenly burned with passion, tightening his embrace, "You came to rescue me? Qinqin!?"
With a grunt from Pei Qin, Mo Heng suddenly lowered his head to capture her lips, kissing her wildly with a frenzied tongue.
Rushing all the way here, Pei Qin had even prepared for the worst. Now seeing him well and touchable right before her, she couldn’t help but feel warmth in her heart too. She tightly embraced his neck and kissed him back fiercely.
Although knowing she only had a third of his strength, Mo Heng still slowed down to let her take the lead, waiting until she could no longer continue before he dominantly retaliated.
"Cough, cough, cough!" As Mo Heng drew close, Lu Hai stepped aside, glancing at the sky, another drill was imminent, his cough reminding the couple.
The camp was already broadcasting the assembly of new recruits.
Reluctantly letting go, yet clutching her hand tightly unwilling to let go, Mo Heng still said, "I’ll send someone to take you back tomorrow!"
"Not going back!" Pei Qin pushed him away.
Pulling her back into his embrace, "Listen to me! This is a battlefield, swords and weapons do not have eyes! Be good!"
"Be good your ass! Since I’ve come, I’m not going back!" Pei Qin huffed.
Mo Heng fell silent for a moment, his heart even less willing to let her go, "Where are Xixi and the others?"
"They’ve headed south with Shen Songming and Xiao Yong," Pei Qin pursed her lips.
That shouldn’t pose a safety issue. Looking at Pei Qin, now right before his eyes, in his arms, Mo Heng struggled inwardly, "Come with me!"
"I’m now a personal soldier of Jiang Zhen!" Pei Qin broke away, signaling him to leave as she was there to use the restroom.
Mo Heng, however, recalled the hand Jiang Zhen had laid on her shoulder during the afternoon drill. This place was full of men.
Pei Qin, after finishing, directly returned to the training field from another side.
Mo Heng, with a dark expression, watched Jiang Zhen swagger through drilling the new recruits, calling Pei Qin and his personal soldiers for a private word. He went straight up to him to demand his person.
Jiang Zhen hadn’t initially thought much of Pei Erhei, but with Mo Heng’s unusual attention, now even coming to claim him, "Pei Erhei is my man!" Already his personal soldier, could he let some green inexperienced pretty boy take him away!?
"Your man?" Mo Heng’s gaze swept coldly over him. That was his person! From the inside out, wholly belonging to him!
Jiang Zhen suddenly sensed the threat emanating from him.
Feng Wei, knowing his master’s intentions well, suggested a test of strength between the two sides. If Jiang Zhen could beat Mo Heng, he would get the first pick of men.
"Who’s scared of who!" Jiang Zhen’s meteor hammers were imposing, had he not lost territory and been demoted, he wouldn’t be relegated to drilling newbies.
Thus, in the middle of the night, while most of the new recruits were resting, the two deputy generals began to fight.
Jiang Zhen grew increasingly alarmed as they fought. He felt like a tiger fallen to the plains, not expecting Mo Heng to hide his skills deeply. Merely after a few dozen moves, he was defeated. Could it be that left-handers are tougher? No! It must be because he was used to using his right hand that he failed to anticipate Mo Heng’s left-handed moves and lost, "No way! That doesn’t count! Let’s have another round next time!"
"Going back on your word?" Mo Heng glared at him.
Jiang Zhen’s face reddened, embarrassed at being defeated so easily, which severely impacted his authority among the new recruits.
Pei Qin snorted internally, pulling aside one of Jiang Zhen’s personal soldiers and whispering a few words.
The personal soldier looked at her in astonishment, then hurriedly ran over and relayed her words to Jiang Zhen.
Jiang Zhen’s eyes lit up, "To go by boat when I can row! Just because I can’t beat you now doesn’t mean the troops I train are inferior to yours! What’s the point of us fighting? If you’ve got the guts, let’s compare through maneuvering and engaging in war! Let’s see who trains the better soldiers! Then I’ll accept defeat!"
