Chapter 67: Chapter 67: Lilith and Grace talk

As Zara touched down on the territory of the Crimsonveil Clan, Grace immediately leapt from her arms, landing lightly on the ground with a cheerful spin.

Lilith, still gliding beside them with her arms crossed and an exaggerated pout on her face, clearly hadn’t let go of the earlier slight.

Zara glanced at her and sighed, already sensing the storm brewing behind those narrowed eyes."Lilith," she said gently, "I couldn’t hold you while flying, okay? But if you still want me to... I can carry you now."

Lilith cracked one eye open, peeking at Zara with a skeptical glint—only to find her standing there, arms wide open in invitation.

Her pout faltered for a moment before a soft smile curved her lips."Hmph. Fine..."

With a graceful leap, Lilith nestled herself into Zara’s arms, wrapping her arms loosely around her neck, her wings folding back contentedly.

Zara blinked, startled by how easily Lilith settled in.Why do they both act like I’m their personal throne?

Lilith rested her head on Zara’s shoulder with a satisfied hum,

Grace, watching Lilith nestle comfortably in Zara’s arms, smiled slyly. With a teasing glint in her eyes, she cooed,"Oww~ Wifey, does this mean both of us get to sleep in your room now?"

Zara froze mid-step, her entire body stiffening as her brain blanked.I... I didn’t think about that...She slowly looked down at Lilith still in her arms, then back at Grace. I’ve only ever slept with Lilith... What do I even say to that?

She gave an awkward, forced laugh."Haha..."

Lilith’s ears twitched at Grace’s question. Her eyes narrowed dangerously at the mere thought of sharing a bed.

With a cold smile, she looked over at Grace and said in a tone too calm to be harmless,"We’ll do it like our moms and dad did—one night with you, and one night with me."

Grace’s playful grin vanished as she pouted, placing her hands on her hips with exaggerated offense."Ugh, Lilith! Why’d you ruin the moment? I just wanted to fluster her a bit!"

Zara let out a sigh of relief—but her face was still burning red.

Grace turned to Lilith with a cheeky smile, her voice sugary sweet."Then tonight’s my turn~ You already had your night with her."

Zara stiffened. Her smile faltered as a subtle wave of panic washed over her.W-What should I say? I can’t even refuse... She is my wife now. If I reject her, I might hurt her feelings—and then Lilith might get angry too...

Her thoughts spiraled, and her face went just a shade paler.

Lilith’s brows twitched. She closed her eyes with a sharp exhale, clearly annoyed. Then, without a word, she gracefully jumped down from Zara’s arms.

"Hmph. Good night," she muttered, not even glancing back as she walked off with her wings twitching behind her vanishing from her back.

"Lilith—" Zara called softly, but Lilith didn’t stop.

Grace blinked at the reaction, clearly surprised by how quickly the mood had soured. She rubbed the back of her head awkwardly.

"Oops... maybe I pushed too far this time."

Zara entered the manor quietly, her footsteps light as she made her way toward her room, her thoughts a tangled mess of nerves and guilt.

Behind her, Grace paused and looked over at Lilith, who was walking in the opposite direction with her arms crossed tightly over her chest.

Grace stepped toward her."Lilith, why did you agree so quickly back there? I was just teasing... I didn’t actually mean to steal the night."

Lilith stopped and turned, her silver eyes narrowing slightly."Didn’t you want to sleep with her?" she asked, her tone unreadable but her gaze sharp.

Grace’s cheeks flushed with a hint of pink. She looked away, mumbling,"Well... I wanted to, but... our feelings aren’t at that level yet."

Lilith smirked at her reaction, the sharpness in her gaze softening just a bit."Well, you’re her wife now. I have to accept you. This isn’t like those humans who can abandon their spouses whenever they feel like it. Vampire pacts are sacred."

She stepped a little closer and added firmly,"So it’s better we share her than fight over her. And more importantly—" she leaned in, eyes narrowing—"—we need to make sure no one else enters her bed."

Grace blinked, then leaned closer with a sly grin and whispered,"Wow... since when did you become this wise and mature?"

Lilith rolled her eyes and shoved her lightly."Shut up. Just go. Feelings can build over time."

Grace chuckled and walked off toward Zara’s room, her smile warm.

Zara sat on the edge of her bed, hands resting on her lap, brows furrowed in thought.

What am I supposed to do now?She sighed. I don’t want to hurt either of their feelings...

Just then, a soft knock echoed from the door. Zara stood up, startled, and walked over. When she opened it, she found Grace standing there—cheeks flushed, ears red.

Grace gave a small, shy smile."Don’t worry... Lilith sent me. We already talked about it."

Zara blinked, momentarily stunned. Her gaze lingered on Grace’s flustered face, and for a brief second, her breath caught. She quickly stepped aside, silently allowing her in.

After closing the door, Zara returned to the bed and lay down on one side. Grace followed, sitting next to her before settling down as well.

What should I do now...? Zara thought, biting her lip.

Suddenly, she felt a gentle touch on her hand. She turned her head, eyes meeting Grace’s. The vampire girl looked at her seriously.

"...Do you hate me?" Grace asked softly. "Because of the pact... because it happened without your knowledge."

Zara shook her head slowly, her voice quiet but sincere."I don’t hate you. I know you just... didn’t think anyone could beat you. That’s why you didn’t tell me about the consequences. I was just caught off guard, that’s all."

A genuine, relieved smile spread across Grace’s face. She closed her eyes briefly, then opened them with a spark of mischief."So... when do we fight again?" she asked, her voice playful. "I want to go another round. Don’t worry—this time there’s no blood oath."

Zara blinked, lips twitching into a small, reluctant smile. she roll her eyes and close them going to sleep,
