Chapter 55: Chapter 55: gods meeting date
Zara gently rubbed her thumb across the back of Lilith’s hand, feeling the soft warmth beneath her fingertips. The silence between them was peaceful, thick with affection. Lilith’s smile deepened as she laid her head on Zara’s lap, her silver hair spilling like silk across Zara’s thighs.
Zara began absentmindedly threading her fingers through Lilith’s hair, slow and soothing.
"Lilith," she whispered.
"Mmm?" Lilith responded, eyes fluttering halfway open to meet Zara’s.
Zara looked down at her with a soft gaze. "Should we go outside the clan for a while? Just the two of us. We’ve never really gone out, have we?"
Lilith blinked, then gave a small nod, her golden eyes thoughtful.
"You’re right... we haven’t left Crimsonveil since we met. It’s always training, meetings, and for me politics." A playful pout formed on her lips. "We deserve a break."
Zara’s smile widened as she leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Lilith’s lips, lingering just enough to steal her breath. When she pulled back, Lilith’s cheeks were tinged with pink, and her breathing had grown slightly heavier.
"Haaah... Zara," Lilith mumbled, covering her flustered face with her hand. "But... what about your training?"
Zara tilted her head with a playful glint in her eyes. "Don’t worry. We’ll come back before Nyssa notices."
Lilith gave a skeptical look. "You mean before she storms the city looking for you."
Zara laughed softly. "Exactly."
Lilith sat up slightly, resting her weight on her elbows, her expression now more excited. "Then it’s a date. Tomorrow morning?"
Zara nodded while smiling. "Tomorrow morning."
"Now lets sleep"
In Nyssa’s Room...
The soft moonlight poured through the crystal windows, casting pale silver patterns on the ornate walls. Nyssa lay sprawled across her luxurious bed, her nightdress flowing like water over her figure. One hand propped up her head while the other idly traced circles on the silk sheets.
"Hmmm..." she murmured, her crimson eyes fixed on the ceiling.
"Her bones didn’t have the potential she’s showing. So how can she possess that kind of talent?"
She rolled over, eyes narrowing in thought.
"It’s interesting... finally, after so many years, something truly mysterious appears," she whispered, a small smirk curling her lips.
Before her thoughts could deepen, a shimmer split the air—magic humming softly—until a portal flared open at the center of her room. Lucien stepped through in his usual dark uniform, his expression tight.
Nyssa raised an eyebrow, still sprawled out as she smirked lazily.
"Oh? Weren’t you headed to the castle for some oh-so-important work?" she teased, resting her chin in her palm. "Why the sudden return, dear Lucien?"
Lucien glanced at her half-playful demeanor and shook his head, folding his arms.
"I wouldn’t be here unless it was important," he said, tone serious. "I just received a message... from Odin."
The teasing glint vanished from Nyssa’s eyes. She sat up straight on the bed, all amusement gone.
"Odin? He rarely contacts us directly," she said, voice sharp now. "Is it urgent?"
Lucien nodded. "They’re calling for a meeting."
Nyssa’s brows furrowed, her eyes darkening with concern.
"But... the Grand Convergence isn’t due for another five years. Why are they calling a meeting now?"
"That’s what worries me," Lucien replied. "The message was vague, but the tone... it felt heavy. As if something big is approaching."
Lucien waved his hand, the portal closing with a soft hum.
"We’ll leave for the meeting the day after tomorrow. All Viscounts are required to attend."
Nyssa nodded, crossing her arms beneath her chest.
"Alright. Are they summoning every realm, or just a select few?"
Lucien’s frown stroking his chin "They’re calling upon all pantheons and progenitors."

Elarion World – Celestia Academy
Mia sat cross-legged on her chair, nibbling on a rice ball while Elira scrolled through her notes beside her.
The classroom buzzed softly with chatter, but the seat at the back corner—Zara’s seat—remained noticeably empty.
The door slid open, and Selena walked in with her usual composed grace. Without a word, she took the seat next to them and glanced at Mia.
"Mia, has Zara come back yet? Class already started."
Elira turned toward Mia too, curiosity flickering in her eyes.
Mia swallowed her bite and let out a small sigh."I asked around... but no one’s seen her. She hasn’t come back to the academy."
Selena’s expression darkened, her fingers tapping against the desk."That’s odd. What’s she thinking? Doesn’t she realize she could get expelled for this?"
The three girls sat in a tense silence,
Elira broke the silence, her voice thoughtful."I was wondering... since we now have an additional elite class..."
Selena and Mia turned to her, puzzled by her sudden comment.
Elira continued, her brows slightly furrowed."Why isn’t Zara in the elite class too? I mean, if someone like Alex made it in, then why not her?"
Selena’s eyes widened in realization. She slowly raised a hand to her head, rubbing her temple as if trying to piece something together.
"That’s... actually a good point," she murmured, her mind racing.

The sky glowed a soft reddish hue over the vampire realm.
Zara, dressed in black pants and a matching shirt, held Lilith’s hand as they walked side by side through the bustling streets. Lilith, wearing a flowing red V-neck dress, looked effortlessly regal beside her.
Zara’s eyes wandered curiously, taking in the lively marketplace where shopkeepers called out, displaying all sorts of strange and fascinating wares.
Noticing the wonder in Zara’s expression, Lilith smirked and gently tightened her grip on her hand.
"Zara, why are you looking around like that? Everything here surprising you?"
Zara stopped in front of a small vendor stall, picking up a curious object—a strap with rotating pins and a small glass face.
She held it up toward Lilith."Lilith, what is this thing?"
Lilith raised an eyebrow, recognizing the item."That’s a watch. It tells time."
Zara blinked, puzzled."This tiny thing tells time? How?"
Lilith chuckled softly and began explaining how it worked, pointing out the moving hands and numbers.
After leaving the shop, Zara lifted her gaze to the crimson sky and let out a thoughtful breath."There are so many strange things here... like this watch... and those guns we saw earlier."
Lilith smiled at her reaction."Yes, my dear. My father brought those from another realm. He was impressed with their use, so he had them introduced here in the vampire realm."
Zara nodded slowly, trying to absorb everything.
Lilith gently tugged her hand."Come on. Let me show you where I rest—it’s peaceful and beautiful."
Seeing the excitement on Lilith’s face, Zara smiled and followed.
As they walked further, Zara’s gaze drifted toward a range of rocky mountains and a dense forest up ahead. She raised a brow at Lilith.
"Is that the place you were talking about?"
Lilith waved her hand casually."No, no. That’s not it. Just follow me. And don’t worry—only stray dhampirs roam there, and they wouldn’t dare touch us."
Zara’s face twitched when she heard the word "dhampirs." Her mind flashed back to the dhampir girl who had attacked her before. Her body shivered slightly.
As they walked, her eyes landed on a dark cave hidden among the rocks.
Lilith led her inside.
After sitting on a flat rock, Lilith smiled."See? This is my cave. I come here when I get bored."
Zara looked around, confused. The cave was quiet and empty."Don’t you get more bored coming here? There’s nothing inside."
Lilith crossed her arms."I come here to sleep. Why would I need anything fun here?"
Zara’s eye twitched."Can’t you sleep in your room like a normal person?"
Lilith opened her mouth to reply... but then paused, her head turning slightly."...I think I heard something."
Zara perked up."What is it?"
Lilith frowned, her red eyes narrowing."Sounds like dhampirs. What are they doing here? Aren’t they afraid I’ll kill them?"
Suddenly, the sound of many footsteps echoed through the cave.
Zara quickly raised her hand—her red sword appeared in a flash of light.
Lilith gripped her silver spear, its surface glowing coldly as she took a fighting stance.
Zara narrowed her eyes as shadowy figures came into view—humanoid in shape, but with deep red lines running across their bodies. Their nails were sharp and bony, like claws.
