Chapter 54: Chapter 54: unbelievable talent
The old man—Odin—looked at the woman and said gravely, his voice heavy with the weight of old grudges:
"Frigga, that lecherous fool reached out just now."
Frigga raised an eyebrow, a faint frown creasing her brow. But as realization dawned, her expression softened with a knowing smile.
"Zeus, I take it?"
Odin gave a small, sharp nod.
"So why summon me, husband, if you already have his message?" she asked, her voice calm but curious.
With a wave of his hand, a second throne emerged beside his, carved from the same celestial stone and lined with runic threads of starlight.
"Sit, Frigga. We need to talk."
The seriousness in his tone made her pause. She recognized that look—the same expression he wore before every war, every battle that threatened to shake the very roots of the realms.
Without another word, Frigga seated herself gracefully beside him, her eyes studying him with quiet concern.
Odin raised his hand again and made a subtle motion in the air. Glowing golden runes began to form, swirling and aligning into readable script. Letters in the divine language hovered before them, shifting and stabilizing into a message filled with warning and urgency.
Odin’s one good eye darkened as he read the fading inscription aloud:
"The demons are awakening, and the Demon Realm stands once more on the verge of rising. —Hera"
As the glowing letters vanished into the air, Odin turned to Frigga, his voice grim.
"You see? We cannot let that man awaken. If we do nothing, chaos will erupt across the realms."
Frigga’s expression grew tense. Worry crept into her voice as she looked into Odin’s eyes.
"Odin... what should we do now? If he awakens, all the realms will be plunged into war again. And this time, we no longer have the worship energy to sustain us. We’ve already lost our connection with so many realms..."
Hearing her words, Odin sighed deeply, the weight of countless years pressing down on his shoulders.
"Don’t worry, Frigga. We’ll find a way," he said, though the edge of concern lingered in his tone. "Send word to all pantheons. We need a meeting—immediately."
Frigga nodded slowly, her gaze solemn as the gravity of the situation settled between them like a storm cloud.
"Understood. I’ll begin the summons right away."
As she turned to leave, the air around them seemed to grow heavier,

One month had passed since Zara began her training under Nyssa.
In the heart of the training grounds, the clashing sound of steel had long faded, leaving only the tense silence between mentor and student. Both stood poised with swords in hand, their bodies slick with sweat, their eyes locked in unwavering focus.
Zara’s chest heaved as she struggled to steady her breathing. Sweat dripped down her brow, stinging her eyes, but she didn’t look away.
"Huff... Huff... I can finally defend against her attacks, but I still can’t land a hit. What kind of monster is she...?" Zara thought, clenching her sword tighter.
Across from her, Nyssa tilted her head slightly, a grin playing on her lips. Her long red hair fluttered with the breeze, adding to her fierce, untouchable aura.
"Unbelievable..."she mused silently. "In just one month, she’s forced me to use forty percent of my power. How is she growing this fast?"
Nyssa gave Zara one last evaluating look, then smirked.
"And her talent with the sword is unbelievable..." she muttered under her breath.
Out loud, she said, "Alright, that’s enough for today. Meet me here tomorrow at the same time."
With a casual flick, Nyssa tossed her sword through the air. It spun once before landing perfectly on the weapon rack with a clang. Without another word, she turned and walked away.
Zara exhaled slowly, only then noticing how tightly she’d been holding her breath. Her entire body ached, her muscles sore and trembling.
"Damn... what is she even made of?" she mumbled, wiping sweat from her brow. "Even with a Swordsman class, I’m struggling just to keep up with her techniques..."
She looked down at her calloused hand, then clenched her sword tightly. With a sudden burst of force, she slashed downward—cleanly slicing a massive rock in two.
"I have no idea how strong I am now... and without a status screen pass, I can’t even check my stats."
After placing her sword back in the rack, she turned and began walking toward the main hall. Her steps were slow, heavy with exhaustion—but her mind was still buzzing.
Halfway there, she suddenly smacked her forehead.
"Ah! I forgot to sign in today, didn’t I?" she groaned. "Guess I’ll do it once I get back to my room."
As Zara entered her room, her gaze instinctively fell on Lilith, who was sitting on the bed with a book in her hand. The soft amber glow of the evening sun slipped through the curtains, casting a gentle light over her silver hair.
A soft smile curled on Zara’s lips.
Our relationship... it’s really grown stronger, hasn’t it?
Her mind wandered—drifting back to the very first day of her training under Nyssa.
That day, she had returned bruised, sore, and barely able to stand. Her clothes were torn from the relentless sparring, and dried blood painted her sleeves.
The moment she had stepped through the door, Lilith had shot up from the bed like lightning, her eyes wide with worry. Her usual elegance was replaced by frantic concern.
"Zara! Are you okay?" Lilith had rushed forward, gently holding her arms, scanning her from head to toe. "What did second mother do to you?!"
Zara had smiled back then too, albeit weakly. "It’s just training... nothing I can’t handle."
She remembered how Lilith had carefully cleaned her wounds, mumbling and scolding under her breath about Nyssa, all while trying not to look too upset.
That memory warmed Zara’s chest now.
Back in the present, Lilith glanced up from her book, locking eyes with Zara. A small smile touched her lips, calm and knowing.
Zara stepped in and gently closed the door behind her, the weight of her exhaustion lessened by the silent warmth in the room.
She walked over and sat beside Lilith, their shoulders brushing.
"Hey," she whispered.
Lilith closed her book and leaned in slightly, "Welcome back,"
