Chapter 109: Chapter 109: Unconscious

I blinked, confused, as Anahi stared at me so intently.

Hesitantly, I raised my finger to my lips and bit down gently. A small bead of blood surfaced and rolled to the tip.

Anahi’s face lit up with joy, her eyes shimmering with excitement as she watched me.

But just as the blood droplet was about to fall into the glowing ritual circle—it stopped.

Mid-air.

Suspended.

"Huh?" I blinked, my brows furrowing. "What happened...? Why isn’t it moving?"

Kneeling down, I reached out to touch the hovering drop—but then I noticed something odd.

Anahi, She wasn’t moving.

Not blinking her eyes.

"Dear?" I whispered. "Why are you not moving...?"

Nothing.

Not even a twitch.

I stood slowly, worry rising in my chest. As I stepped closer to her, my hand reached out—instinctively, gently—to touch her.

But before I could—

Someone grabbed my wrist.

"Stop," a soft, commanding voice said. "Don’t touch any hand that isn’t mine."

I turned, startled—and froze.

A woman stood before me.

No—not just a woman.

She was... breathtakingly Unreal.

Her beauty made the world dim around her. Plump rose-petal lips. Eyes pink and shimmering like flawless gems. Her hair flowed like silk spun from the dusk sky, the light playing off every strand like it was alive. Every curve of her body radiated divine elegance.

I stared, stunned, my breath caught.

"W-Who are you?" I managed to whisper, blinking myself out of the daze.

She smiled—a smile so soft it made my heart ache, yet in her gaze shimmered power... and sadness.

"Did you ask who I am?" she said, her voice trembling slightly. "You don’t remember me? I’m the one who promised to marry you."

My lips twitched at her words. I didn’t know who she was, and now she was claiming I made her a promise?

"Uh... sis, I really don’t know you," I replied awkwardly. "I’ve never made that kind of promise with you. I don’t have a wife. I only love one person."

Her expression twisted.

Her eyes darkened, and her voice dropped.

"It’s me, right?"

Her grip on my hand suddenly tightened.

Pain shot through my fingers, and I frowned, trying to pull back.

But I couldn’t.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t even make her hand budge.

Himeros POV:

How can she say that? How can she forget me?

I’ve done everything—entered her dreams, pulled her soul into my seal, left pieces of myself inside her memory. How can she just say she forgot?

"W-Who’s the one you love?" I asked, my voice cracking. "It’s me, right?"

She looked at me with clear irritation.

"What’s it to you who I love?"

My expression went blank. A cold stillness settled inside me as I reached forward and pulled her into my arms, locking my grip around her waist.

"You’re mine," I whispered. "I have the right to know who you love. Tell me."

I kept my voice gentle, soft even, but she only grew angrier. Why?

Why is she angry? I’m being kind. Patient. It’s taken me hundreds of thousands of years just to find her again.

I cupped her chin and leaned down, resting my head against her shoulder, inhaling her scent—familiar, haunting.

"Aliyah... tell me you love me," I whispered. "I want to hear it from your lips."

Her body stiffened in my arms.

Then, after a long pause, she sighed—soft, tired.

"...Sis, you’re probably misunderstanding something. I’m not Aliyah. My name is Zara."

My gaze stayed fixed on her neck. My lips brushed her skin, almost trembling.

"Ahnn... sis, don’t do that," she said awkwardly, trying to pull back. "I said I’m not Aliyah."

I tightened my arms around her waist, holding her firmly against me.

"I know who you are," I murmured. "Right now, you’re Zara... but I know you’re Aliyah—even if you don’t remember."

As my lips pressed softly to her neck, my eyes flicked toward the floor—and froze.

My gaze locked onto the blood-drawn spell circle.

A wave of darkness washed over me. My grip tightened slightly as I leaned closer, my lips brushing the shell of her ear.

"Zara..." I whispered, my voice strained but controlled, "...w-what were you doing with this spell?"

I paused, forcing the anger down, trying to keep my voice soft.

"Who... who were you about to make your eternal partner?"

Looking past her, I spotted a woman with flowing black hair—frozen in place, a blissful smile on her face as she stared at the spell circle.

My eyes slowly dropped to her hand.

Blood.

There was blood on her fingertip.

A wicked grin stretched across my lips.

"Oh... so this is the one, huh?" I whispered darkly.

I let go of Zara and began walking toward the woman, every step echoing with quiet rage.

My fingers curled into a fist—and with a flash of light, a white blade appeared in my hand, glowing with pure intent.

"It’s time for you to die," I hissed, my voice low and shaking with fury. "How dare you think you could take what’s mine... that you could ever be her eternal partner."

My vision blurred with rage.

I couldn’t think.

I couldn’t feel anything but the urge to destroy.

Zara POV:

Panic surged through me the moment I saw her charging at my love.

"Stop!" I screamed, my voice raw with desperation as I sprinted forward.

The woman froze mid-step at the sound of my voice, her face twisted with fury as she turned to glare at me.

"You... you tried to save her?" she asked coldly, her voice like a blade of ice.

I stepped in front of Anahi, raising my arm protectively.

"She’s mine," I said, standing firm.

The woman stared at me for a long moment, her eyes unreadable.

Then—she vanished.

A wave of relief washed over me, and my body sagged slightly.

’Thank the gods... my love didn’t get hurt.’

I turned to check on Anahi—but my eyes widened in shock.

Before I could move, I felt someone behind me.

"Aghh!"

She was suddenly there, gripping both my wrists and forcing them above my head, pinning me against the cold cobblestone wall.

"What do you want?!" I cried out, struggling. "I told you—I’m not Aliyah!"

My voice trembled as her grip tightened, her presence overwhelming. My heart pounded, and I could feel the fear crawling up my spine.

She looked at me with eyes void of emotion—cold, unblinking, terrifying in their stillness.

"It took me countless years to find you," she whispered, her voice low and trembling with restrained fury. "Do you know how many realms I destroyed for you? How many of my own people I turned against... just to chase the memory of you?"

She stepped closer, her face inches from mine, her breath brushing against my skin.

"And now you expect me to leave? After all that? I tried to help you remember me... only for you to forget me again."

She leaned in slowly and pressed her lips against mine. The kiss wasn’t tender—it was possessive, a declaration of ownership.

I struggled, twisting my wrists, trying to free myself from her iron grip—but her hands only tightened around mine, holding me in place like shackles.

My heart pounded violently in my chest. I couldn’t escape. I couldn’t breathe.

Himeros POV:

Feeling the familiar softness of her lips, I couldn’t help but crave more. My heart ached with twisted longing.

But I steeled myself, leaning back just enough to give her lips one final, lingering lick.

It’s time...If I can’t have her gently—then I’ll make her mine by force.

Her fierce, defiant expression only made my heart pound faster. She was beautiful even in resistance. A smile tugged at my lips—until something strange caught my eye.

A faint red circle was etched into her forehead.

My smile twisted into a sneer.

Seduction magic...Heh. And I didn’t even realize it? How pathetic—me, a goddess of love.

With a flick of my finger, the circle dissolved into mist.

Her body swayed. I caught her before she could fall, pulling her gently into my arms as her eyes fluttered closed.

Unconscious.

A soft, happy smile bloomed on my face— there is no tension, no confusion. Just peace on her face.

I felt my chest warm with dark satisfaction.

Now... now she’ll remember me.Hehe... finally, she’s coming back to me.

now i can kill this bitch, how dare she seduce her.

With a flick of my finger, Zara’s blood vanished before it could touch the circle. The spell broke.

The girl—began to stir.

Anahi POV:

Huh...?Where... where is she?

The circle was empty. The blood Drop was gone.

A tremble shot through my body as dread twisted in my chest.

No... no, it can’t be.Where did she go?!

Panic surged. I shot to my feet, eyes scanning the chamber.

That’s when I saw her.

A woman with long, flowing pink hair...And in her arms—my love, unconscious and limp.

My heart pounded. My hands curled into trembling fists. Rage—pure and ancient—flared inside me like wildfire.

"How dare you hurt her!" I snarled, my voice low and feral.

The pink-haired woman simply smirked, her gaze sharp as a blade.Without a word, she raised her hand—

And the temperature in the room suddenly dropped.
