Chapter 102: Chapter 102: World’s consciousness meeting

Location – Somewhere deep in the Void

The place was utterly dark—nothing could be seen, not even the hint of form or light.

Suddenly, a violet portal rippled open. From within stepped a captivating woman. Her long green hair fluttered softly, though no wind stirred the airless void. She wore a flowing white robe that glowed faintly against the darkness.

Glancing around, a frown tugged at her lips.

"Why is nobody here yet?"

Just then, a small blue portal shimmered into existence in front of her. Her expression softened with amusement as a blue cat floated out from it.

Placing a hand on her hip, she narrowed her eyes playfully.

"Tres, why are you late? Come here—let me pinch your chin."

She took a step forward, hands raised mischievously.

Tres’s eyes widened in panic. He floated rapidly backward, yelping, "Earth, don’t come near me! I’m stronger than you now!"

The woman—Earth—smirked arrogantly.

"Tres... did you just threaten me? Come here. Now."

Tres glanced around nervously, clearly uncomfortable.

"Why haven’t the others arrived yet...?"

Feeling her growing discomfort, another portal flickered open in the void.

A man with messy black hair stepped out, his dark robe fluttering gently. He took one look at the scene—Earth chasing Tres in circles—and burst into loud laughter.

"Hahaha! Tres, Earth still finds you adorable, huh?"

Tres halted the moment he heard the voice. His eyes lit up like he’d seen salvation. He floated straight toward the newcomer and hid behind him.

"Shut up, Elarion! I’m stronger than both of you!"

Earth stopped in front of Elarion and cleared her throat, trying to regain composure. Her expression shifted from playful to serious.

"Tres," she said firmly, "what happened to the guy I sent you? Did you give him the system?"

Tres peeked out from behind Elarion, blinking.

"The recent one?" he asked.

Earth crossed her arms. "Of course the recent one. Did you give him the system or not?"

Tres shook his head.

Earth raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "So... why didn’t you?"

Tres floated up and casually perched himself on Elarion’s shoulder, resting his chin on one hand.

"He wasn’t suitable for the system, and not suitable for my precious siblings" he replied. "But don’t worry—you’ll get your worldly mana soon. I reincarnated him into the body of a dead Saint, so you’re covered."

Earth groaned loudly, puffing her cheeks in frustration. "Tres! You know I’ve only gotten a little bit of world mana lately!"

She held up two fingers, barely spread apart.

"This much. This much is all I’ve gotten."

Elarion grinned, shaking his head with mock sympathy.

"Tch tch... such a tiny amount. He reincarnated into me, so I got way more world mana than you. I really, really pity you."

Earth’s smile dropped. Her expression turned cold as she stared him down.

Elarion’s lips twitched. He started backing away dramatically.

"W-What? I’m not scared of you! Even if you make that creepy ghost face!"

Earth took a deep breath, then smiled sweetly—but with mocking venom.

"Hah. At least I’m strong enough not to get myself sealed, unlike someone I know. Hmph."

Elarion crossed his arms, muttering under his breath. "Yeah yeah... you win."

Beside them, Tres was grinning widely while munching on a bucket of popcorn, comfortably seated on Elarion’s shoulder like a smug spectator.

Elarion’s eye twitched. He glanced at Tres.

"Why are you even up there? Come here, you squishy little—"

"Ahhh!" Tres yelped, floating away just in time to dodge Elarion’s grab.

"Hey! If you dare touch me, our collaboration is over! I’ll stop sending people into your world!"

Elarion cracked his knuckles with a sadistic grin. "Don’t worry about that. Come here—I’ll just use you as a stress toy."

"Noooo! I’m sorry! I’ll send more, I promise!" Tres screamed, flying off in circles with exaggerated panic.

Lilith tilted her head as she saw Seris entering the bedroom. She glanced behind her, puzzled when she didn’t see Zara.

Looking confused, she turned back to her mother. "Where’s Zara?"

Seris chuckled at her daughter’s expression. "Don’t worry, dear. She’s putting on her armor for battle. She’ll be here soon."

A voice come from behind lilith. "Armor? Why would she need armor? Where is she going?"

Seris looked behind lilith and smile, Grace stirred Awake rubbing her eyes groggily. Seris smiled softly at her.

"Oh, you didn’t know, dear? As a Marquis, Zara has to head to the frontlines. You were probably asleep—both on Earth and here—so I suppose it makes sense you didn’t hear."

Grace frowned deeply. "But... she told me she just had work. Why is she going to the frontlines?"

Seris smirked and sat down on the edge of the bed, gently patting Grace’s head. "Your wife isn’t weak, dear. She’s strong—more than capable of taking care of herself. Don’t worry."

Grace groaned and pulled her head away from Seris’s hand.

"Second Mother, I’m not a kid anymore. Don’t pat me like one."

"Pat, pat, pat."

Just then, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed through the room. Grace turned her head toward the door—her breath caught.

Zara stood in the doorway, clad in gleaming red armor. Her silver hair fluttered with every step, and her presence radiated strength. Grace eyes widened slightly at the sight of her, her lips parting in surprise.

Lilith’s eyes lit up. She quickly got up and rushed over, wrapping her arms around Zara.

"Wow, wife—you look so cool in that."

A smile curled on Zara’s lips. "Haha, thanks... I guess."

She turned her gaze to Grace and blinked, noticing she hadn’t moved.

"What’s wrong, dear?" she asked gently, walking over to her and lifting Grace’s chin softly with her fingers.

Grace’s red eyes sparkled as she reached up, running her hand from Zara’s hair down to her jaw.

"You look so cool in that, wifey," she whispered, eyes full of admiration.

Zara’s lips curled into a proud smile.

Seris cleared her throat. "Now that you’re ready, Lilith will show you the direction."

Lilith stiffened immediately. "Huh? Mom, what do you mean ’show the way’? Didn’t I say I’m going with her?"

Zara’s brows furrowed. "Wait... You’re not coming?"

Seris raised her hand and shook her finger with a teasing smile. "No, no. Lucien called you to the palace, Lilith. You’ll go there immediately after guiding her."

Lilith’s expression darkened with irritation as she looked away in frustration.

Grace, excited, raised her hand quickly. "Then I’ll—"

But Seris cut her off. "And you too, Grace. You’re coming to the palace with me. So don’t try anything sneaky—let’s go."

Without waiting, Seris grabbed Grace by the arm and began dragging her out.

"Wah! Mother, I wanted to go with her! Why are we going to the palace all of a sudden?" Grace protested, but Seris ignored her and dragged her out the door.

Zara’s lips twitched watching the scene. She turned toward Lilith—and froze.

Lilith’s face was clouded with frustration, her fists clenched tightly.

Zara quickly reached out and held her hand.

"Dear... what’s wrong? Why the sudden change in mood?"

Lilith looked at her with narrowed eyes, her voice low. "I want to go with you. I don’t know why Mother’s stopping us."

Zara’s expression softened. She gently squeezed her hand. "Don’t worry, love. I’m sure there’s a reason."

Some time later...

The ruined mountains stretched endlessly, jagged cliffs and unnatural ravines scarring the earth like deep wounds.

Zara flew steadily toward the zone, her eyes narrowing as she surveyed the destruction.

’How can this place be so devastated...?’

She glanced to her side—and saw Lilith still following, her face visibly sulking.

Zara couldn’t help but smile.

’I don’t know why... but I find her pouting so adorable, i find everything about her adorable, her anger, her ruthlessness....’

"You can head back now, dear," she called gently.

Lilith looked at her with a sharp frown. "What do you mean go? Can’t I come with you?"

Zara stopped midair, floated over, and pulled her gently into her arms.

"Don’t worry, dear. Nothing will happen to me, okay?"

Lilith leaned her head on Zara’s shoulder, her voice soft. "Hmm..."

Zara smiled and let her stay like that a little longer, holding her quietly in the wind.

Eventually, Lilith let out a breath and turned away, flying back.

Zara watched her go until she was out of sight. Then, turning back toward the cliffs, she flew deeper into the mountains.

Suddenly, a strong, metallic scent hit her.

Blood.

She froze midair, covering her chest with one hand as nausea and old memories surged within her.

’No. I can’t fall into that trauma again...’

Her wings faltered for a second, but she steeled herself and flew on.

Zara’s eyes widened in shock as she flew over the next ridge.

A sharp gasp escaped her lips, and she instinctively slowed midair. Below her, the land was littered with countless corpses, their blood soaking the already torn earth. Smoke curled lazily from craters and broken armor.

She swallowed hard, the taste of iron heavy on her tongue.

"So many... all slaughtered..."

Before she could react further, her instincts flared.

Her eyes widened—too late.

She ducked backward just in time.

A silver spear whistled past her cheek, so close that the tip sliced a shallow cut across her skin. A sharp sting followed as blood trickled down her jawline.

Zara’s eyes narrowed, blazing with focus.
