Chapter 101: Chapter 101: Armor
"Zara, may I come in?"
Zara blinked, eyes widening as she recognized Seris’s voice from the other side of the door.
’Oh no.’
Panicking, she jumped to her feet and scrambled to gather her clothes. As she dressed in a hurry, she shot a glare at Lilith, who was still lying naked on the bed, utterly unbothered.
"Lilith! Put something on! Your mother is standing right outside!"
Lilith smirked, stretching like a lazy cat. "Relax, wife. I’m getting dressed."
She stood and slowly buttoned up her red shirt, moving at a maddeningly slow pace.
Zara, now fully dressed, sighed and rushed to the door. She opened it—only to be met by Seris’s knowing gaze.
Seris’s eyes flicked from Zara to Lilith behind her, who was still closing her last few buttons without a hint of urgency. A sly smirk tugged at Seris’s lips.
Zara’s face went blank.
Seris chuckled softly. "No need to panic. I’ve seen her naked plenty of times when she was a child." She stepped back. "Come with me—I have something for you."
As Seris turned and began walking, Zara glanced over her shoulder. Lilith gave her a teasing wave and a mischievous grin.
Zara sighed and followed after her mother-in-law.
"Mother, what is it that you want to give me?" she asked as she caught up.
Seris glanced at her. "You’re heading to the frontlines. You’ll need armor."
Zara’s eyes widened. ’Right... I don’t even own any. Vampire regeneration has always been enough—I didn’t think I’d need protection.’
As if reading her thoughts, Seris added, "I know you rely on your regeneration, but don’t get careless. Some dhampirs have developed techniques to suppress it, at least partially. You can’t afford to take chances anymore."
Zara looked down at her hand, slowly curling it into a fist.
’So dhampirs can interfere with regeneration... I’ll need to be more cautious.’
They entered a wide hall lined with polished black cobblestone walls. Zara’s gaze swept across rows of ancient armor displayed behind glass—each one a relic of power. Swords, spears, and bows gleamed under crystal lights.
Seris leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed. "Pick one."
Zara stepped forward, eyes scanning the rows until one particular set caught her eye—crimson armor, sleek yet fierce, with an aura that seemed to hum as if whispering her name.
Her footsteps slowed as she approached it.
Zara turned to Seris with a cheerful smile.
"Mother, how about this armor?"
seris walked near her, looking at the armor, and nodded.
"Yes, it is a good choice."
Zara tilted her head, seeing her waving in a glass, symbols appearing on the glass. After some time, her eyes widened, seeing the glass vanish.
seris turn and start walking outside.
"Quickly wear it and come outside."
Seeing her leaving, Zara turned to reach her armor.

Elarion world- Haldrin Mansion
"Daughters, come meet your dad, he is going to the border."
Elira, sitting on bed, looked toward the door, a sigh escaping from her mouth,
Looking down at her hand, she was holding a woman’s pic with purple hair smiling brightly, beside her, a little girl with white hair was clinging to her leg.
Elira slid her hand on the woman’s face delicately.
’Mother, I miss you, I didn’t like this fox father marry, I know father loves me most, but if I tell this woman true colors to father, she will definitely harm my sister, what should I do, I can’t kill her I don’t want to upset Betty?’
placing the picture beside her bed, she stood up and walked downstairs.
Her gaze fell on her father wearing silver armor,
Haldrin, seeing her walking downstairs, spread his hand.
"Come, daughter, give a hug to your father."
Elira smiles and hugs her.
"Goodbye, father, stay safe there."
Haldrin grinned, patting her back.
"Hehe my daughter is worrying about me, well, that’s understandable, my daughter is stronger than me."
Elira groans, hearing him, and makes a mock-irritated face.
"What are you even saying, Father?"
Haldrin looked behind her and smiled softly.
"Come here, daughter, give me a hug."
Elira blinked, then turned to look behind her. Her expression darkened with rage.’What did that bitch say to my sister this time?’’Why is Betty still wearing that blindfold... wasting mana just to see like that?’
Betty hugs Haldrin, Haldrin frowns, seeing wetness in her eyes.
"What happened, daughter?"
Betty shook her head quickly.
"No, nothing, Father, I will just miss you."
Haldrin became relieved, patting her head.
"Don’t worry, daughter. After I go to the border, it’ll be your brother’s turn to come home."
Betty’s body trembled hearing brother.
’n no i don’t want him to come, h he is scary’
"Okay I’m going, take care."
Ailany smiled innocently.
"Goodbye, dear."
Haldrin simply nodded and left.
seeing her leaving, Betty quickly walked toward her room.
Elira looked toward Ailany, who was smiling, getting close to her she crossed her arms.
"Aunt what did you say again to my sister? Why is she wearing a blindfold again?"
Ailany shook her head, and sarcasm could be seen on her face.
"I don’t know, a demon will always be a demon."
Elira clenched her fists tightly, her knuckles turning white.
’I really wanna punch this bitch mouth’
"If you don’t stop manipulating my sister, then I will tell Father what do you think he will do to you, or your family?"
Ailany covered her mouth and started chuckling as if she just heard a joke.
"Puff, she is not your sister Elira, that demon is born from my stomach, and try telling Haldrin you know your precious sister, drinks a glass of milk given by me, and I don’t know what will happen if one day she misses that drink."
Elira’s body started trembling, and her eyes became dull as she processed information.
Ailany, seeing her fear, smirked and walked away, muttering.
"What a weak, pathetic will."
Elira looked down seeing her feet.
’d did she add something in her drink? What should I do now?’
