"Why then do you stare?" He asked, and at that moment, Neriah’s right hand almost rose from his shoulder to reach for his face as hers flushed a lovely shade of pink, but she was quick enough to pause the action and just opened her mouth instead.

"This is the first time." She said

"First time for what?" He asked with his brows creased.

"The first time that I open my eyes in the morning and find you still here in bed." She confessed and flushed foolishly.

"Why, you do not like it?" He asked.

She shrugged as index finger caught a strand of hair at his neck and twirled it. "I did not say that."

"So you like seeing me when you wake up." He said with a big grin, one that almost drew an equal expression from her face but she remained placid.

"I said nothing of such either." Neriah shrugged, releasing his hair from around her finger as she moved to rise from between his legs but his hand upon the small of her back remained firm as he pressed her closer and took her lips.

"You— No, it is morning." She rebuked him. She could already tell where that kiss was headed. "The sun is high up in the sky." She protested... Not much of a protest to anyone who had eyes to see.

"It is not like this will be the first time we are doing it with the sun high up." He shrugged and grinned and she suddenly thought he resembled those hissing caracals she had seen in books.

"You oaf! It was not so early in the morning then! We just woke up and you want to go right at it again. Are you sure you are well?" Her waist and back were aching.

Thanks to the fact that he had tickled her and made her laugh, she had been able to move her aching body in a bid to escape his tickling fingers. She had no idea how she would have actually been able to rise from the bed if he hadn’t woken her up with his tickling.

Barak let out a loud chuckle, "Dear Spitfire, only a child or a fool would say they know not what we have been up to all night. Your husband has just returned after being away from home for over a month, it is evident to anyone with common sense what we will be doing to make up for lost times." He grinned.
