Chapter 137. Lyle stop!
Chapter 137: 137. Lyle stop!
Neriah silently waited for a response from him. The look in his eyes at first showed much doubt when she started out her lie, but by the end of it, she could not point out the exact expression on his face. She struggled within her to know if he believed her or not.
"So that is what happened?" He nods as though he had truly taken her words into consideration and believed her. Much to Neriah’s peace of mind. He sat himself down on the table next to the chair she was seated upon and his hands slowly began to stroke her hair.
"Forgive me my love. I did not mean to sound so doubtful. I was just scared that I might have been losing you to him." He continued with his eyes downcast and his voice trembling.
"W_ what do you mean? H_he is but a mere barbarian. He can never compare to you in any sort of way, manner or form." Yes, she had thought those words to be true at one point but now they were just more lies she was spewing in order to keep the things in her stupid heart from bursting out.
"Thank the goddess." He said and hugged her and even that tight hug was uncomfortable for her.
"I love you Neriah, I really do. I do not know what kind of life I will have without you by my side. I miss you and yearn to be with you every hour of every day." He confessed and even his confession weighed heavy on her. All she wanted at this point was to get back home and rest.
He broke the hug and stared her in the eyes, "I know it is disgraceful of me but I long to feel your soft skin upon mine." He said while staring into her eyes and at that very moment, she could not hide the shock she felt. And Neriah wondered what sort of expression she was wearing as she stared at him. She wondered if it was mere shock that was visible on her face or if maybe the irritated feeling was also evident on her face.
She could not tell, but his hands began to caress her arm and it was uncomfortable. And when he leaned in close to her and tried to kiss her lips, impulsively she turned her head from him, but he brought it back to face him and took her lips.
It was unpleasant. Very unpleasant... Everything was just not comfortable. Not his lips that kissed her, nor his hands that were touching her body. Why was she feeling so repulsed? This was Lyle!
But still, "L_lye stop it. I do not wish to do that." She firmly stated as he suddenly lifted her from her seat and placed her on the table. She could quickly tell where this was going.
She had never crossed that line with Lyle but she could tell he was planning to cross it tonight... "Ly_Lyle I said stop it!" She pushed, but his hand still found its way under her skirt, touching her ankles through her socks, moving up to her knee, her thigh! It was not fine, not fine at all.
Her hands struggled to push him away as he was forcing his lips onto hers even more. "Neriah, I want you my love. I never get to see you. I need to immerse myself in your love to satisfy my desire for you." He muttered as he moved from her lips to her neck.
"No!!" She screamed and fought him. She didn’t want him to leave a mark on her skin! She didn’t want him biting her neck and shoulders that had the markings of Barak. She was repulsed by the thought of anyone else kissing her there!
"Lyle stop it, now!" She yelled and he still didn’t listen. She moved her shoulders and neck away from his mouth trying to close her legs at the same time.
It was crazy. It was crazy how much she was fighting the man she claimed to be the love of her life. She could suddenly remember the first night she had been with Barak.
When he had first kissed her that night and laid her upon the bed. She had fought but dear goddess, she did not fight even half as much as she was doing now. At that time, his touch, albeit repulsive to her, was still divinely sweet. His caress caused her to shudder, made her lose strength in her limbs.
She not only lost strength but also her senses for sometime and only after she regained her senses did she fight him by biting him. But that was it. She did not even fight this hard.
Why? Why did she not fight so hard that night? And why was she fighting with all her strength right now!
"I said stop it!!!" She screamed and slapped her hand on the wooden table. Instantly, dried twigs sprouted out of the table and with much force, yanked Lyle away from her, slamming his back upon the wooden walls and twisting around his body and pinning him down there.
The green in her eyes glowed like green fire. The anger was evident and she could not hide her disgust either.
"N_Neriah?" He called as she rose to her feet and straightened up what part of her appearance that she could. Her anger grew as she touched her hair and realized how disheveled it was.
"N_neriah, forgive me my dear, I do not know what came over me. I just miss you so much so I—"
"It would appear that you are not in your right mind tonight, Lyle." She said as she stared at the man still pinned to the wall by dried twigs. "We have nothing further to discuss. For the time-being, do not contact me. I shall find a way to send you a message if need be." She simply said as she lifted the hood of her cloak over her head.
"Neriah, my love! Do forgive my foolishness!" He begged and all she did was adjust her skirt one more time before stomping out of the damn room. Leaving him just like that.
