The Dragon Prince's Bride
Chapter 107. Do not provoke her.

Chapter 107: 107. Do not provoke her.

"What in Narcissus’s name is going on here!" Barak’s voice echoed throughout the training ground, causing both ladies to halt their madness.

Their chests heaving up and down, their backs hunched as they held each other’s hair in tight grips. A thin trail of blood running down the side of both their faces, their eyes as red as embers_ Barak had no idea who started what, but it was clear that they both needed serious and thorough spanking.

They were both princesses for crying out loud! If he had been alone, he would not have been this angered but he had about twenty knights behind him!

Whatever had caused this, disgracing themselves like this was pure foolishness! If they wanted to fight, then they were in the training ground, for crying out loud, they could have sparred against each other like civilized people! Why were they both fighting like wild animals!

His gaze shifted from his sister to his wife and she was still fuming, rising and sweeping like an angered bull about to charge and although he was angry, he seriously had to hold himself back from laughing. She looked adorably disheveled. Like a cute mess.

"Are you still holding on?" He asked, not moving an inch from where he stood. His eyes were in no way smiling and both ladies could see his anger.

"She—"

"I did not ask either of you anything!" He shut them both up as they tried to speak at the same time.

Slowly, grudgingly, and painfully, Rakima pulled her hand out of Neriah’s hair but Neriah’s hand remained in place. She was still breathing loudly and seething, her eyes were glued to his with defiance written all over her face.

"Neriah." He called her but she would not hear anything. Her hand remained in place and Rakima was already shouting and warning her brother that she would also pull her hair again if his wife refused to let go.

"Shut your mouth Rakima." He ordered. "Neriah, listen to me. I said let go of her hair." He ordered and he could see that tears had filled her eyes. At that moment she looked like a child who had been caught fighting and stared at him like the parent whom she expected to take her side. She seemed like a child who wanted to say so much but was holding themself back because if they began to explain they would cry.

"Neriah." He called one last time and she hissed.

"Damn you!" She yelled and ran, slamming into him as she ran past him. He tried to hold onto her but she yanked her arm away from his hand and ran while the knights made way for her.

...

"Brother! How can you blame me right now!! She raised her hand first!" Rakima cried out in frustration. As soon as Neriah had left, he had asked for details from Barni and the little man had told him everything that happened.

"You would not have been slapped if you had not provoked her!" Barak retorted. "What are you doing in my training ground anyway? If you had stayed in your palace all these would never have happened!"

"Are you serious brother?! How can you say that?" Rakima scoffed and did a little frustrated spin. She stopped and looked around the empty training ground where they stood and another scoff left her lips. "Are you blaming me for coming here? I come here all the time. And besides, what did I say? How did I provoke her? What I said was not wrong!"

"It is so annoying how you are both so alike." He muttered to himself. Neither was ever willing to take the blame. "Rakima, if you do not want my wrath do not provoke or disrespect my wife."

"Brother are you seriously—"

"Disrespecting her is as good as disrespecting me and I will not take such from anyone. Not even my sister. So from now on, mind your manners. Because the next time this sort of madness happens, it will not just end with words from my mouth. You should be grateful she does not quite seem to understand her position as crown princess because if she did, just an order from her and you would have been lashed to your senses. Only mother and father would have been able to intervene and that would have been after you’ve received about twenty lashes already. Because I promise you I will not intervene."

"Brother!" She yelled.

He rose to his feet and spoke again, "Stop shouting and go find yourself a physician. You look like you fought with a cheetah."

"Brother!" She called out to him, but he just walked away, by then the day had already turned dark.

He had scolded his sister, now to go deal with the other person who looked like she fought a cheetah too. His dear wife. "Urgh, that silly woman." He sighed.

He was already spent from his outing that day. His thoughts were to return home and soak in a nice warm bath. Have her join him in the tub if that were possible, have dinner with her and fall asleep with her in his arms... And do more if possible.

He was also going to suggest that they went out together. Just the two of them. Actually it was Reg who had suggested it, telling him it was a way to bond and get to naturally find out what his wife loved and hated.

But who would have known that he would return to see his wife and his sister behaving like two wild cats. He sighed deeply and shook his head. Women_

When he reached the room, he could tell instantly that she had not even returned there. He turned at the door and went in search of her.

"Farhan," He called as he saw the man.

"Oh, Your Highness, I was just on my way to the training ground. Thought you would be there."

"Aye, I just came from there. Have you seen my wife?" He asked. And the man’s face seemed to twitch and Barak wondered why.

"I was coming to you about that. The princess took off on a horse. She is quite the skilled rider." Farhan complimented. Momentarily forgetting the main point of his report.
