Chapter 93: The guilty verdict

Jia stood in the hospital corridor’s balcony with her hands in her pockets and breathing in the cold evening air. The sun was beginning to set in the horizon, and she stared at the beautiful pinkish-orange sky.

It was chaotic back in Anhe’s ward as Jia emphasized on the repercussions of her actions against Yong. If Yong chose to file a complaint, then there would definitely be charges pressed against Anhe and the guys who had harassed Yong in the club. They could see jail time and this realization didn’t sit well with Anhe, the outcome being a massive flood of tears and panic.

"I need some cheese," she muttered with a sigh.

"What you need is a good head massage from yours truly~"

Mingshen rested his back at the balcony’s railing, smiling as he ate a cheese sandwich before her. Her brow twitched.

"You like cheese?" He asked with a curious brow.

"Everybody likes cheese."

"Lactose intolerant people not so much."

Jia watched him munching and gobbling down his sandwich with a grimace. "If you are so hungry, eat outside."

"If you want a bite so badly, you can ask for one. I won’t say no to Spicy~"

She was tempted with the cheese sandwich but refrained from taking a bite from the devil’s sandwich. "No thanks."

"You think you will become the devil if you take a bite from my sandwich?"

"About?"

"For one, she is a passionate lover of video recording I must say," he sneered. "Before, she wanted to click a selfie to gain pity. I can see her bright future of becoming either a future stalker or a paparazzi."

"She has hit on many nerves. Except for Shilin and to a great extent Yong, she has control over everybody. Yibo didn’t talk about any such threat, but I believe Anhe would have something related to him too. And no, I am not talking about Yong’s harassment video. Something very personal to him."

Jia stared at the distance. "Why is she doing all this? Why does she think that she needs to have people’s weaknesses?"

"Because she has a very skewed sense of beauty," he smiled. "I had almost kicked her out of the hospital when she threw that knife at my assistant. I was tempted to show her what actual knife-throwing activity looks like."

"Yeah she hates Bojing. She hates Yong too and she must hate Beiye too. That’s why she ruined her image. She wanted Yong to be harassed too. Is it only because they are very beautiful?"

Jia contemplated the theory in her mind. "Because I want to know the girl to whom all the three - Aang, Yibo and Jinping wanted to hurt her and they did."

"All three..." he tilted his head, "Interesting."

"He was relatively quieter as compared to Aang and Yibo, but he started it all today. Now if we come to the kick on her stomach, do you think Jinping did it? He couldn’t because he would already be panicking so hard once he got back to his senses. That was already out of his expectation that he let a moment’s anger control him. He would only think to escape and get the hell out of the scene and that’s what he did.

Anhe might have personal video recordings against Jinping and Yibo too but they didn’t talk about it. In fact, they looked extremely shocked upon learning Daxia and Aang’s stories. That means they didn’t have a clue about this video recording business of hers so they don’t have a reason to break her phone so violently like Aang does."

"So he probably found her unconscious and seeing her defenseless, the suppressed anger within him exploded. He couldn’t control himself from kicking her after all that forced friendship farce she was putting him through. He thought Anhe’s phone would have those videos, so he broke it," Mingshen surmised.

"Correct. Lastly coming to the sexual assault, Jinping is already out of the picture. Will Aang go one step farther to torment her? That could be a possibility. He is very angry and Anhe is right there unconscious. But he is also smart in times like these. He can keep his cool.

Even with the evidence against him, it was smart of him to propose that either Jinping or Yibo could have brought a packet of cotton candy and smeared it on her dress to frame him. Not everybody can think like this in such a stressful situation. If he started sexually assaulting her, that would take time even if he wants to go faster, and he isn’t stupid to waste his time on that. What if Jinping or Yibo came across and saw him? He will be finished."

Jia sighed. "And well...looking at how Aang is so disgusted by Anhe’s cheap tactics to suppress him, I am sure he would hate to even touch her, much less force himself on her. He is not that kind of a guy because if he was, he would have continued his sexual relationship with Anhe despite knowing that she wasn’t enjoying it."

She glanced at him. "Why would he have cared about her pleasure or his humiliation? He wanted sex and he was getting it. Who cares about anything else? But he did care, that’s why he wanted to end it."

Mingshen cocked his brow. "So only Yibo remains."

She smiled. "You remember you challenged him that he might not be able to even finger a woman to pleasure? Back when we met their group?"

He stared at her hard.

"Yup, it’s pretty much that. I believe it wasn’t any revenge against her for recording the harassment video or scaring him at the fest. He simply assaulted her to prove that he was just as manly. So I know who hurt Anhe and in what way. I just need to find the evidence."
