Jin, who explained their plight until now, couldn’t come out with a clear answer to Jia’s question. "It’s a little...a-awkward."

"No problem is awkward to tell a doctor," Mingshen said.

But the same unease was reflected in Ehuang’s expression as well. Her fretful glances towards everybody indicated that it could be a complex topic to talk about.

Bojing touched his chin and then said, "Shilin, Sis Zhiyou and I w-will head out. You will feel m-more comfortable with Boss and sis Jia."

Shilin thought the same that perhaps Jin and Ehuang wouldn’t want to talk about the next part in front of so many people. Zhiyou looked a little dissatisfied but she understood their concern too.

The trio promptly left and Jia asked in a soft voice, "Do you feel more comfortable now?"

Jin nodded.

"Good. Now go on," Mingshen alternated his gaze between them. "What’s the problem?"

Jin parted his lips but withdrew again. He glanced at Ehuang and she, too, seemed to struggle to express her concern.

Mingshen and Jia didn’t push them and patiently waited. But feeling the intensity with which they seemed to be so conscious of this topic, he guessed, "Is it related to sex?"

The young couple stiffened and Jin’s face flushed a bit. "I-I mean y-yes...but not really...I mean c-connected to it..."

Ehuang looked away in embarrassment.

"Good. Now talk to me about it. Are you using protection?"

Jin coughed hard and his face heated up to the maximum temperature. "W-we have not done it...!! We are still vi-virgins..."

Jia was confused. "Then what is the problem?"

She was starting to get convinced that this could be about an accidental pregnancy but that wasn’t the case either.

Ehuang took a deep breath. Her body ached even with her slight movements, but she had to do this. She looked at Mingshen and asked, "C-can you...check something?"

Mingshen tilted his head. "Check what?"

Jin slowly said, albeit with a little difficulty. "Actually, we have been together for six months now so...we thought that we could do something m-more and go a little farther...physically."

He nodded.

"So one day, Ehuang gave an excuse to her parents that she is going to a girls study group but I took her to my house. My Mom and Dad were out and were going to return late at night. So...well..."

"You made out with her?"

They looked down, extremely embarrassed again.

"There is nothing to be embarrassed about. You like each other and these are common physical and emotional feelings to have for your partner. You are growing up too. Your bodies are changing. Flow of hormones left and right," he nonchalantly said, "It’s all science, not shame."

It was one of those rare instances where Jia appreciated his wisdom.

"I can see why her parents wouldn’t talk about it considering how they don’t even want her to see a boy, much less talk to them, but what about you? Your parents never had this conversation with you?"

"Not really..." Jin awkwardly said.

Mingshen’s expression worsened. "People get into problems exactly because they don’t give sex education at the proper time. Parents. Always stubborn and a pain in the ass species."

Jia - "..."

It was similar yet not so similar to his patients’ dialogue.

"I will surely take that class which they seemed to miss or perhaps chose to miss. Why should only their kids study? Everybody needs some learning," he sneered with a threat laced in it.

Jin gulped even though he wasn’t the target.

"Anyway. That’s for later. You continue."

He said with such a quiet but grim seriousness that Jia began to feel uncomfortable.

Jia glanced at Mingshen and he nodded. He put on his gloves and instructed her to slightly part her legs.

He peered closer and immediately saw what was wrong.

A few seconds passed and even though his expression didn’t crack a bit, Jia clearly saw frigidity envelop his eyes.

Mingshen then summoned Jia closer to her and whispered something in her ear.

"...Okay."

Jia couldn’t understand his request but she asked Ehuang, "Can I touch inside to expose your vagina? Mingshen has to check something."

She replied with a nod.

Jia came closer to do her part and as she saw her genitalia for the first time, her eyes stretched wide in horror. She didn’t need to be a doctor to figure out the grave problem.

Amidst that confusion and horror, she still did and Mingshen asked and came to witness a second horror with him.

"What the hell is happening here?" She couldn’t help but burst out with fury, making Jin and Ehuang slightly jolt.

Mingshen remained quiet for a long time.

Then he finally looked at Ehuang and asked, "Have you got your periods yet?"
