The Devil Doctor's Spicy Love
Chapter 124: Fallen pictures

Chapter 124: Fallen pictures

"Just. Help. Out." she angrily emphasized each word.

Mingshen steadily started to slide the panty through her legs when he commented. "I don’t think that other cop would be so thrilled seeing an old panty."

Jia looked utterly confused. "Who are you even talking about?"

"Your friend cop."

"Huojin? Why would he see my panties?" She was speechless.

"Because he could be your future boyfriend," he stated confidently.

"How the hell does your brain even work? We are just colleagues."

"You would only remain colleagues with him if you don’t bring a new stock of panties."

"..."

She smiled. "I didn’t know Yang Mingshen was so interested in a woman’s panties. I thought my gender didn’t interest you."

"They don’t. But Spicy has always been special to me~ Don’t you feel so blessed by my attention?" he grinned, showing his white teeth in the muted light.

With an impassive look in her eyes, she said, "Please do me a favor and never talk in such a misleading manner in the public. You will ruin my reputation."

By that point, he was holding down on her knee to let the fabric pass. "There is a misunderstanding. Won’t your reputation just shoot up miles and above?

"No. It would be buried deep underground."

He reached closer to her thighs and she stopped him immediately. "Wait! I will do it from here. Turn around."

"You will have to lift your butt a little," he smiled, enjoying her twisted expression.

Seriously, what sins have I committed? She questioned her entire life’s karmas tonight.

Mingshen bent closer and put his hands on her waist. The distance between them lessened further as he brought his face closer to hers, whispering in the darkness. "Rest assured, Spicy. I am more interested in the organ between your breasts, not your legs."

Her brow twitched heavily. She swallowed in all the mortification she could in one night as she completely slid her panties up while he lifted her.

Can anybody just kill me already?

He held her pajamas next. "Ready?"

She wryly smiled. "After panties, pajamas now feel adorable to me."

The grave ordeal of her dressing up was finally over. It was still hard to believe that a day would come when she would need a devil’s help with panties.

"If you ever let a word out of what happened tonight, then be warned. I will sew those lips shut forever."

Mingshen sincerely looked puzzled. "You know, women would have been fainting left and right in bliss if I were helping them out."

"Oh trust me, I would like to faint too," she smiled, lacking the tears to shed. "Just not for the bliss reason but hell instead."

He waved his hand in dismissal. "Always so dishonest."

Jia exhaled a deep, tired sigh and stretched her hand across the bedside table to grab her phone. Her hands grazed an object in between and she turned to look.

It was just for a fraction of a second but Mingshen, who was keenly watching her, caught the shocking and discomforting flash in her eyes. He smiled, tilting his head slightly.

"It’s a beautiful family picture. I noticed it was upside down so I straightened it up. Must have fallen by mistake, right?"

Jia stared at him and said after a long pause. "...Yes."

"I thought so. But then again, the picture in the living room outside was also upside down, so I was just wondering how exactly the coincidence of two picture frames falling in the same position worked?"

Tapping her fingers on her thigh, she asked, "Is that so?"

"It’s your family picture. You would know the best, wouldn’t you?"

"I didn’t notice."

Mingshen raised his brow, amused. "I thought cops always liked to tell the truth. A myth busted I guess~"

"I am telling the truth," her eyes narrowed.

The power came back and the house lit up much to Jia’s relief.

"Thanks for all your help and for the mess you created too. Now will you please leave?"

"You haven’t tasted the pan seared salmon yet," he complained.

"Leave before I hit your head with my crutch."

Mingshen laughed and with his hands in his coat’s pockets, he stood up. He blew off the candle and walked away. He returned a minute later and placed the grand feast he had ordered on the table. "I urge you to eat the delicacy while it lasts. It’s not everyday you get to eat five-star rated food~"

"I can eat five-star rated food if I want to. I am not poor," she felt half-offended.

"Have you really eaten?" His black eyes smiled with a question.

Jia actually never had luxurious food though she could afford it.

"I prefer simple delicacies," she scoffed.

"Just like how a poor person would say."

"Well then Mr. Rich and Ridiculously Wealthy Yang Mingshen, I implore upon you to leave immediately. I feel bad for the time you are breathing in a poor woman’s house," she sneered.

"It’s alright, Spicy," he sheepishly waved his hand, "My big heart can make some painful compromises for you here and there. No biggie."

The volcano bubbling in her heart was close to eruption, but he had already started walking away.

At the bedroom’s door, he turned around and asked, "Why did you want to become a cop?"

Her brows furrowed. "Why do you have sudden questions about my aspirations?"

"Just asking."

She answered with earnestness. "I want to right the wrongs."

"Whose wrongs?"

"The bad guys obviously."

Mingshen’s eyes bore into her. "Including your parents’?"

The question made her gaze turn extremely frigid. An icy loathe filled her eyes. "They have got nothing to do with my work."

He smiled. "They were cops and so now are you. They have got everything to do with it."

He whistled and left with his white coat fluttering in the air.

Jia heard the main door close a few minutes later. She finally rested her head at the back, exhausted. She closed her eyes for some peace.

Five minutes later, she stared at the tray with the food and frowned.

I really don’t want to eat the food he brought...

Her grumbling stomach had some different opinions about it. Sighing, she took a bite of the salmon Mingshen was bugging her about so much.

"Ummm delicious!"

She couldn’t help but blurt it out as the piece of buttery fish melted on her tongue.

"Damn expensive food is in a different league," she muttered.

She looked up thinking about something and then shrugged her shoulders. "Nah, it still cannot beat my 10 Yuan hot bowl of spicy ramen. Street food all the way!"

Stuffing up her stomach, she put the tray back. She looked at the picture frame again and picked it up. Her fingers grazed against the glass in silence as she stared at the smiling faces in it. Her mind spun with countless thoughts and memories.

’It must have fallen by mistake, right?’

Mingshen’s question echoed in her ears as she was about to put it back. The frame shook in her hand as she hesitated. It fell on the table with the picture facing down.

"...Yeah it fell by mistake."

"But you can pick it up, right?"

It was as if she could hear Mingshen’s comeback question.

Her hand hovered over the picture for a few long moments. But instead of picking it up, she switched off the bedside lamp’s button. She uncomfortably shifted to lie down completely and closed her eyes to get some sleep.
