The Demon Lord's Bride (BL)
Chapter 197: Once is never enough

Chapter 197: Once is never enough

"Wow..." I blinked at the dancing light on the ceiling, dazed.

I didn’t remember when I did fall asleep, but I remembered feeling so so so good and comfortable before closing my eyes. It was weird that the memory was blurry, but the sensation was so vivid I could recall it now, the moment I woke up.

My entire nerves seemed so~ relaxed. My body sunk to the mattress as if I was sleeping on a bed magical cloud. Wait--was Cloud actually soft? I had no idea, since I never flew with a plane before.

I tilted my head left and right, wriggling my feet beneath the blanket and accidentally touched a cold skin. I flinched a little bit and turned my head to the side.

"Oh--"

I clasped my hands above my mouth to prevent myself from yelping in surprise, because Natha had been silently looking at me--no idea how long already. He was laying on his side, hand propping his head. The silver eyes were gleaming softly with the light from the peeking sunlight, and he had an amused smile on his face.

I pulled the blanket up to my cheek, feeling the surge of embarrassment burning my face. It was dawn on me now what we did last night--no, actually, it was evening, but both of us were exhausted for many reasons, so we fell asleep before it got truly dark.

Hmm...was that why I felt so refreshed? I slept for so long.

As I mulled over this, my cheek--the part peeking out of the blanket--was caressed by cold fingers. "How’s your body?"

"...Good," I replied, dazedly looking at his handsome face. Goddess--he looked even more beautiful like this, looking soft and relaxed. The dark circles had gone, and his eyes were bright. "Great..."

He hooked his finger on the edge of my blanket and pulled it down slightly until my face was uncovered. He continued caressing me, rubbing the flesh underneath my eyes, brushing my hair to the side. "Are you sure? You said it hurts last night."

"Just the first time," I bit my lips lightly and shifted closer to him. "You know I’m a druid, I got healed instantly."

"So convenient," he chuckled, combing my hair away and stroking my nape, replacing his caress on my face with his lips.

"Right?"

I giggled and shifted even closer, until our legs tangled beneath the blanket. That was the time when I realized that the both of us were still bare. I let go of my blanket and fiddled with his hair, twirling it around my fingers. I felt his hand sliding to my waist and his legs rubbing on mine as he whispered; "Did you like it?"

"Stop asking me that! It’s embarrassing!" I slapped his shoulder lightly, hissing against his jaw. But he laughed softly and pinched my cheek.

"What’s so embarrassing about that? It’s just us here,"

"That doesn’t mean I can’t get embarrassed anymore!"

He laughed again, louder this time, and attacked me with kisses all over my face until I whined and pushed him away. "Adorable," he laughed again and kissed my lips for the finale.

"Mmh!" I pressed my lips and buried my reddened face on his shoulder.

He dragged me even closer while laughing, enveloping me with his soothing coldness. We were wrapped in a thick blanket and just cuddled for a long time; him whispering many embarrassing things in a reenactment of yesterday, and me trying to suppress myself from screaming in mortification. I had no idea how many times I hit his shoulder and covered his mouth while hissing and glaring.

When the sunlight gathered more inside the room between the crack of curtains, he finally stopped his train of embarrassing remarks and just looked at me with a smile, wordlessly for a long time that I got too flustered in the end.

"This is nice," I muttered while shifting my gaze from his face.

"What is?"

"Just...just like this," I snuggled deeper into his embrace, and added quietly. "In each other’s arms."

I felt his hand stroking my hair, and I could feel his smile at the crown of my head. "Yes, it’s really nice."

Slowly, I traced the pattern in his chest, following it with my finger and feeling the texture absentmindedly. "I was dreaming about the past,"

"The past?" he pulled away for a bit so we looked at each other’s face again. He tilted his head before blinking in comprehension. "Ah--on Earth?"

"Yeah," I looked down again, and continued to trace his alpha seed. "I was dreaming about the time you were there, when you possess the doctor,"

I felt him tensing up for a second, and it was only a few moments later when he asked me carefully. "Is it a nice dream?"

"Yeah," I felt my lips stretched on their own. "Well, it’s always nice before, although I got a bit sad in the end, when you suddenly stopped visiting, and then vanished," I shrugged, before looking up with a grin. "But now, I know the reason, so I don’t feel sad anymore."

Now, I slowly recall the conversation that we had, and remembered how I would ask him the things I was curious about. At first, he would be perplexed and told me he would answer it tomorrow, after finding out more about the matter. I laughed then, thinking that he was just being kind, and never expected him to really come back the next day with an answer.

It was just another thing that made me fall for him, I guessed.

Now that I revisited those memories, he might not be able to answer me because, at that time, he was totally new to that world. Being the top student that he was, Natha probably felt like he couldn’t let the questions I asked went unanswered--there was no way his pride could let him. So he probably study a lot of things about Earth at that time, just so he could answer my curiosity.

I giggled at the memory, remembering the flustered expression on the doctor’s face--Natha’s face--in the past. Natha, however, didn’t laugh with me. Instead, he stroked my cheek and said with a frown. "I’m sorry."

I blinked confusedly at first from our different reactions. But I realized that it was caused by me saying I was a bit sad in my past dream. "It’s not your fault," I reached out and rubbed his cheek too.

"Still, I’m sorry," he closed his eyes and leaned into my palm. "I didn’t even know how long I could stay, but I led you on," his frown grew deeper as he opened his eyes. "I said to you that I kept thinking about Nathanael making moves on you, but I also thought about the opposite; If he became cold and cruel to you," he let out a sigh and continued in a subdued voice. "Thinking about another me hurting your feeling is..."

"Mm..." I looked into his hardened eyes, and suddenly thought of something. "Were you just suddenly got evicted at that time?"

"Yeah," he shifted and laid down on his back, looking at the ceiling as I climbed halfway across his torso, staring at his face. "It’s one thing to transport a soul once, but doing it temporarily requires more energy. Not even the Lord had that much authority in another world,"

He shook his head. I didn’t know the concept much, but I could understand it somewhat. What happened to most transmigration or reincarnation was a one-time, irreversible thing. Whoever doing it only needed to do it once, until the soul settled in this world. Even with summoning a whole soul and body like what happened to the Hero, it was most likely irreversible too--meaning the Hero probably wouldn’t be able to go back to Earth, unless what the kingdom promised him.

Anyway, in Natha’s case, a large amount of energy needed to be exerted to keep his soul inside another body whose soul was still very much working and conscious. Not to mention Natha’s own vessel, his body, was still intact and healthy inside the Sanctuary.

In short, Natha’s time on Earth was run with a battery.

"My time was up when I was in the dorm, so I couldn’t even look at you for the last time," he sighed while stroking my back and my hair, a forlorn gaze was in his eyes.

"Mm..." I laid down on his chest as he pulled the blanket over my bare body. I wondered what it would be like at that time, if he ignored everything and just continued with his...advances. Would we...do things?

Ah...my heart tingled at the thought that even in that scenario, my first time would still be with him. My giggle sent vibrations across his chest, and he looked at me inquisitively. Mm...if there was no restriction and no time constraint, could we be doing this kind of thing too? Or would I be too weak to do anything further than kissing? Oh, but kissing itself would be wonderful...

My thought was interrupted by another sudden realization. "Ah--could it be that you learn about business while inside the doctor’s body?" I raised my head and looked at him with widened eyes.

"Naturally," he shrugged. "He was trading on some stocks on the side, so I learned about them while he was in control."

"Aah..."

"Also," he smiled and pinched my cheek. "I need to find the answer to all of your curious answers. I ended up reading a lot of books so I would be able to answer immediately if you asked me again next time."

O-oh...I was thinking about that too earlier, but hearing the confirmation from his own lips made my heart skip a beat. And then it beat faster than before. Before I knew it, I was already crawling on top of him and kissing him.

A slow one at first--and then, as my body grew warmer and my stomach twitched in excitement, his hands started to roam around my bare skin beneath the blanket, and the kiss became deeper. An apparent lust reignited in our eyes, and lips, and tongue, and hands...

"Haa..." I was getting flipped into my back again, looking up at his stretching lips.

Unlike last night, he looked more relaxed, more playful. He knew now that I could take him, so he stopped treating me like a fragile glass.

"You got embarrassed when I asked if you liked it, but you do this?" he smirked, licking his glistening lips.

"It’s...it’s different!"

"What’s the difference?" Natha tilted his head, and parted my legs easily with his thighs.

"This is instinct!" I argued.

"Instinct?"

I nodded, biting my lips as I replied bashfully yet stubbornly. "Instinct."

"Lewd instinct?"

"Whatever!"

I twisted my lips and pulled on his neck for more kisses, more touches, and more filth before we cleaned ourselves in the tub.
