Agares pulled the Shadepiercer sword from its black sheath. Just as the sword was pulled out, another system panel appeared in front of Agares in response to the sword’s buff and debuff.

Agares’ attention was focused ahead, where he saw many shardling monsters approaching him. But he would not let them attack him.

The bodies of the seven shardlings were thrown far away by the impact of the purple-black explosion.

The explosion, along with the shardlings being thrown far back, attracted the attention of the floor boss.

The floor boss turned its head, staring at Agares with its blue eyes while roaring loudly, causing the ice spikes on the ceiling to crumble.

Agares jumped to the side and backward, avoiding the falling ice. The man realized something; his agility had decreased, as had his defense.

"You killed my children!"

The floor boss stomped its feet on the ground, triggering a magical reaction that froze the area and formed sharp spikes that attacked Agares.

Agares knew this attack, but the strength and number of sharp spikes were far greater than those of the Shardlings.

The Shadepiercer sword was stabbed into the ground, Agares holding the hilt with both hands.

His eyes were fixed on the floor boss who was trying to kill him by stabbing Agares’ body with thousands of sharp spikes.

With his second skill, Agares brought out a mysterious black shadow behind him. The appearance of the figure surprised the floor boss, but it didn’t shake its intention to kill him.

The mysterious black figure wraps Agares in the power of its bat wings, creating a protective dome which can withstand and deflect the floor boss’s sharp spikes.

The sharp ice spikes broke and failed to pierce Agares’ protective power. Even so, Agares received a 20% DEF debuff and 40% Damage Reduction.

In total, Agares received about 80% of the enemy’s total damage.

The Shardlings listened. They obeyed their boss’s orders. The turtles immediately hid in their shells, which then jumped forward, targeting Agares.

Surprising! A blue light shone brightly from the crystals on their shells. Agares realized what was about to happen.

The Shardlings were going to explode!

"Do you want to end this fight? What a coincidence! I can’t fight you for long."

Agares held his sword with both hands, preparing to use the third skill of his saber skill. Only that skill was capable of dealing significant damage to the monster in front of him.

The two powers collided, creating a powerful energy blast that spread across the battle area. But one of the Shadepiercer sword’s buff attributes was anti-magic.

The ice laser beams vanished, hit by the anti-magic effect of Agares’ sword. The monster boss was shocked, its eyes widening in surprise as it watched its attack suddenly disappear without cause.
