Agares walked into the hallway. How surprising it was for him when he fell into the steeply sloping alley. From the front, Agares saw a trap of sharp thorns filled with human bones.

’Damn! Is this really the right way?’ Agares groaned.

The man pulled out his sword and stuck it firmly into the slippery floor. Agares deliberately channeled his dark energy into the blade to strengthen it.

He did it! Agares was saved thanks to his quick response to the danger.

Agares paused for a moment, letting his body hang down. His attention was fixed on the bones in the sharp thorn trap, which belonged to about four dead people.

The man scanned the area around him. Agares’ eyes spotted a light at the end of the corridor, just beyond the sharp thorn trap.

’Is that leading to the second floor?’ asked Agares.

Agares realized that the sharp thorn trap was directly below him. If he let go of his sword, he would fall right there.

He thought hard. Agares tried to swing his body to gain momentumto move forward. Once his body was swinging properly, Agares drew his sword and let his body roll across the floor of the dungeon alley.

"That was terrifying."

After escaping the trap, Agares walked while sheathing his sword. He stepped forward and got closer to the light at the end of the hallway. Agares suspected that it was probably the boss room.

The closer Agares got to the hallway, the more he could hear voices coming from there. Agares quickened his pace until he was completely inside.

Agares saw three people there, two women and one man. They were sitting down, recovering from their battle wounds. They turned around when they saw Agares approaching.

"Who are you?" Agares asked.

"Did you come here to save Lady Erika?" asked the man, who was wielding a sword, but it was broken.

"Yes."

"Thank goodness. However, Lady Erika is currently being held on the third floor. They are fighting the floor boss there," replied the man.

The two women were still trying to heal the man, and Agares did not intend to disturb them. Now he knew where Erika was. He could rescue her immediately.

"You guys rest here. I’ll help you out," replied Agares.

The three nodded. They knew what was in the hallway in front of them, and seeing Agares come out safely made them believe that Agares was not just some random adventurer sent by the Thorn Family.

Agares entered the hallway in front of him, continuing to step forward while killing the monsters that appeared in front of him.

Surprisingly, they weren’t monsters, but the monster aura released by the third floor boss.

This meant Agares gained nothing from killing them. Agares didn’t mind; after all, the monster auras were easy to defeat.

From afar, Agares faintly heard the sounds of battle, screams, and roars. If Agares’ guess was correct, that was where the third-floor boss was located.

Agares drew his sword and sprinted out of the corridor until he fully entered the boss room.

To his surprise, the boss that Erika and her friend were fighting was a level 4 boss in the form of a magma golem.

Each magma golem slammed its hands on the ground, causing lava to erupt from the ground in random places. Erika and her friend had to deal with that.

"Why did you take so long to recover?" asked Erika’s friend, Nash.

Nash turned around. He was shocked to see that it wasn’t his friend facing the enemy in the hallway, but someone else.

Erika turned around as well, she was the most surprised because she knew who that man was.

"You? What are you doing here?!" asked Erika, still fighting.

"You should ask your father that!"

Agares ran forward and helped Erika finish off the floor boss. With the strength of the mace adventurer, the lancer knight, and the saber knight, the magma golem monster was defeated. Agares was quite exhausted; he received an EXP percentage based on the damage he dealt.

"You made your family worried.

"You?!" asked Erika, still feeling embarrassed about that moment, even though she was trying to forget about it.

"Sigh!"

"Let’s go back."
