Chapter 239: Chapter 171: Losing Beastliness, Losing Everything_3
These glasses...
Paired with Sister Ruo’s outfit today, they really accentuate her intellectual and mature beauty.
It can be said they really hit Jiang Shu’s XP spot.
"Three pieces of news, one good, two bad. Which do you want to hear first?" Jiang Shu scooped up some mutton soup into a small bowl, soaked the torn flatbread in it, then pushed the bowl towards Sister Ruo.
Liu Tingruo used a spoon to scoop up the soup, drinking and eating the bread.
Then, there were satisfied mmm sounds.
Her whole demeanor brightened.
"Bad news," she responded to Jiang Shu’s question.
"I just went to the restroom and didn’t wash my hands," Jiang Shu said with a grimacing smile.
"..." Liu Tingruo put down her spoon and stared fiercely at him, "And the good news?"
"I didn’t go to the restroom," said Jiang Shu, smirking.
"Oh," Liu Tingruo relaxed and scooped another spoonful of soup, "And the other bad news?"
"I didn’t wash my hands." Jiang Shu shrugged and scooped himself some soup from a large basin, completely avoiding the small bowl.
Liu Tingruo: "???"
"Do you have a death wish?" She reached out to twist Jiang Shu’s face but was blocked by a flying playing card he somehow flicked out; she then stood up abruptly, ready to claw at him.
"Just teasing, just teasing. See, you’re always so gloomy," Jiang Shu quickly gave a French-style military salute in surrender.
"Go get me two bottles of beer and I’ll let you off," Liu Tingruo grumbled as she sat down.
"Drink less," Jiang Shu negotiated, "One bottle’s enough."
"Cut it out," Liu Tingruo didn’t refuse.
"Easy to handle woman," Jiang Shu muttered under his breath.
"What did you say?" Liu Tingruo didn’t catch that, but guessed he was bad-mouthing her, so she turned to the four Spirits Ding, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma, "What did he just say?"
Beta: Trouble-maker woman.
Liu Tingruo: "???"
Jiang Shu: "???"
Soon, their ordered skewers arrived.
Thirsty, Jiang Shu drank a bit of Sister Ruo’s beer and then Liu Tingruo had an excuse to demand compensation from him.
Needless to say, Sister Ruo drank quite a bit.
"From now on, we’re sworn siblings," Liu Tingruo said with bleary eyes and flushed cheeks, not even realizing when she had moved next to Jiang Shu, hooking an arm around his neck and declaring boldly, "sworn to be as close as if our lives started together!"
Jiang Shu: "..."
"From now on, you’re to call me Brother and follow me forever and ever," Liu Tingruo squinted her eyes and smiled, "I’ll take care of you."
"Alright, Brother Ruo."
At that moment, Jiang Shu felt quite conflicted.
Beta: Drunken claims of brotherhood.
"Sigh."
Jiang Shu held his forehead with one hand and wrapped his other arm around Brother Ruo’s waist to keep her securely against him to prevent her from toppling to the ground.
Listening to the unconscious gurgling from Brother Ruo’s throat, he made up his mind.
He could never let this guy touch alcohol again.
Not even a little bit.
Absolutely impossible.
After clearing up the mess on the table, Jiang Shu took Liu Tingruo to a nearby hotel to stay.
Boy, she was heavy.
"A twin room, the kind with two beds," Jiang Shu requested from the front desk while supporting Brother Ruo.
"King-sized bed!" Suddenly, Liu Tingruo made a zombie-like revival beside him.
"Uh..." Jiang Shu scratched his head, awkwardly looking at the front desk lady, "Don’t listen to her."
"Listen to me! Just listen to me!" Liu Tingruo’s hands flailed, randomly scratching at Jiang Shu.
The lady at the desk knowingly checked them into a king-sized bedroom.
Jiang Shu: "..."
Entering the elevator.
Jiang Shu poked the still-passed-out Brother Ruo, confirming she had no reaction before muttering, "King-sized bed indeed, always causing trouble."
He spoke very softly, but Liu Tingruo suddenly came back to life again. She stood against the elevator wall, staring at Jiang Shu for a long time.
Then, she stretched out her arms, looping them around his neck.
She bowed her head slightly, her glasses slipping down to her nose, then looked up at him, deliberately breathing alcohol in his face, "You wouldn’t dare?"
Jiang Shu: "..."
It’s your own words.
