The Cursed Triplet Alphas' Fated Mate -
Chapter 19: First Dance
Chapter 19: 19: First Dance

All eyes were instantly on me as soon as I walked through the large looming doors, and for a moment, I almost flattered and ran back the way I just came in.
However, I took in a deep calming breath, reminded myself that I was confident and was no longer seen as the freak I was known out throughout my pack. To these people, I was as normal as everyone else, and I really liked being regarded as normal.
With those thoughts in mind, I held my head high and sauntered into the room, walking past the crowd which parted way for me like still water.
About a thousand people were present in this ball right now and I was stunned by the sheer number they are. I used to think my father’s pack was the biggest till this very moment.
Everyone present were dressed to kill, and I was thankful I let my maids select a dress for me themselves because they picked out the best for me, although it made me stand out even more. I could already hear murmurs around me as I stopped beside a pillar and chose to stand beside there.
"Who is she?"
"Prince Damon’s mistress?"
"He’s never taken a mistress before though."
"Does this mean the three brothers are fuvking her together? Or just Damon? Cause that would be a first."
I scoffed at that point. So everyone in the pack knows they love to share their women? Talk about shameless...
I badly wanted to walk up to the gossipers and set things straight with them, but of course I couldn’t do that because it would contradict me being introduced to the ball as Damon’s mistress.
A waiter walked by and I picked a glass of wine from his tray, and as I downed the liquid, my eyes darted around the large hell. Large, exquisite chandelier hung from the middle of the hall, and bright lights were situated at every corner. At the front of the hall, a stage was right there, and some people were seated there.
I recognized a few people there, including the king and queen. Anna was seated there as well, and at the same moment locked, right before I glanced away.
I looked around again before fluffing up my hair. Now that I was here, it didn’t look so scary anymore. I guess it really was like a normal party. Which means I could at least try to have fun, right?
As I resumed walking around, I silently wondered if the three princes would show up tonight. Damon had forced me to attend this ball because his brothers would be present, so I assume they’re already here? Or are yet to arrive? I wasn’t sure.
But why was I thinking about them though? It wasn’t like I cared about them or something.
I literally hated the three of them.
On realizing that my mood was starting to grow sour, I forced myself to stop thinking about the princes.
When I turned left, I walked right into a chest, and this time, stumbled and lost my footing.
A hand grabbed my wrist before I met the ground, and I gasped in shock, my heart racing hard, before my eyes locked with my savior.
It was a stranger who looked ridiculously hot. Hid blonde hair was framing his face in a really beautiful way, and he flashed me a small grin.
"Guess my luck is in tonight? Huh? Cause I just landed myself the prettiest girl here tonight." He breathed out as his hand settled on my waist then he was tugging me upward, so fast that I fell right into his chest. I stepped away from him and awkwardly stepped back, cheeks feeling like it was on fire just as what he just said re echoed through my mind.
I let out a small laugh as I glanced up at him.
"Ah, thank you for preventing me from falling." I mumbled, feeling embarrassed about the fact that this was the second time today that I was running into someone and almost falling, although this time was very close.
"Of course, gorgeous. You’re most welcomed." He said as he held his hand out towars me.
"However, I’ll be most delighted if you can grant me a single dance... or more, if you wish it to be."
It had to be the way he worded the question, it sounded so seeet and made my heart flutter, especially because I’ve never been asked for a dance before.
Even when I was dating my ex mate, whenever we were at parties and everyone would be dancing around us, he’d dance with someone else— that person being my sister most of the time.
I knew that I should have found it weird since then.
I always wished he’d ask me to dance with him instead. When I asked him one time, he said he never asks me because I was always busy and dancing was stressful and he never likes to stress me.
Stupid me had been flattered by that response and had fallen for him harder.
However, I realized that I had been a fool this whole time.
Mr hot stranger was still waiting for a response when I returned back to the present and again, I felt flattered. I cleared my throat as I nodded while slipping my hand into his.
"I’m not a great dancer though." I offered but he only chuckled as he led me to the middle of the dance floor which no one was dancing on.
"I can be good enough for the two of us." He assured me in a low voice that made my cheeks grow warm as I placed my second hand on his shoulder through the material of his cream suit jacket.
I could feel everyone’s eyes on me tonight for the second time. This was much worse because we were about to have a dance, and I had a feeling this was the first dance of the night since no one was dancing yet.
After that, we began to dance while everyone watched, including the three alphas standing in the shadows...
