Soon, Mineah and her shadow maidens arrived at the Global Summit held in Haven Forest. Everything seemed well prepared and organized. An independent and credible group, Sorel Guild was handling all the preparations for the event so it was no surprise that everything was smooth sailing.

Upon arrival, Mineah immediately walked toward her husband’s camp and went straight to his private tent, signaling their people to keep her arrival quiet.

She was sure her husband would feel her before she even had the chance to surprise him so to prevent that she cast a spell to temporarily mask her presence. Her husband was standing near the makeshift bed while reading a parchment.

"Surprise!" Mineah exclaimed with a wide grin, announcing her arrival.

"You’re here!" Nikolai burst as he turned around and quickly approached her to kiss her lips before moving to stand behind her and hug her lovingly. Mineah chuckled seeing his gesture because he often started hugging her from the back ever since her belly grew.

"Yes, I told you I’ll come here as soon as we’re done. We finished earlier than expected so we used Dani’s teleportation spell to get here faster. I’m so tired," she murmured, stifling a yawn.

"Hmmm.. I’m sure you are. You should get some rest..." Nikolai hummed as he kissed her neck and snuggled his face deep in it, inhaling her scent.

"Not yet. I need to meet Jayra first and finally remove my bloodthread from her. Also, Krisha needs Taro so I promised her that I would send Taro back as soon as possible. I’m pretty sure that Taro also can’t wait to go back home to her and their baby. Her baby son Aros will turn a month old tomorrow. So let me go and finish everything quickly," Mineah said with a smile.

"I’ll go with you," Nikolai muttered.

"No need, stay here and wait for me. I’ll come back soon. Finish whatever you were doing," Mineah said with a grin.

"No, I’ll walk you there. I had to meet Darius anyway, so I’ll do that after dropping you off," Nikolai insisted as he grabbed her hand and clasped it with his. Mineah and Nikolai walked towards the camp of Cordon to see her sister when Nikolai was called by Abel, so Mineah continued alone to see Xenia.

The royal guard announced her arrival and she was sent directly to the King’s tent. Inside, she exchanged pleasantries with Darius before he left the room.

"Look at you," Xenia exclaimed as she gently touched her baby bump.

"Come, let’s walk outside. Zaila has been nagging me to walk more since I’m due soon," Mineah commented to which Xenia nodded. They went out of the tent and started walking around the camp. It was true that Zaila advised her to walk more often now that she was due.

"Are you sure you’ll be able to extract your bloodthread given your current condition?" Xenia worriedly asked.

"Hah! Her Majesty won’t be the one doing it. I will extract her bloodthread from my body and expel it on my own. It’s the least I can do after Queen Mineah put her life on the line to save mine," Jayra suddenly interrupted. She seemed to have come out of nowhere and was now walking with them.

"I’m really fine... I can still do it," Mineah insisted. She could feel Jayra was excited to see her and to finally have her bloodthread removed from her body. She could only imagine how tormented Jayra must have felt for more than a year constantly being surrounded by tight and strict security.

"I have no doubt in your capabilities but please let me do it, Your Majesty. I want to return your bloodthread to your body on my own. Let me use my energy and perform this task, please?" Jayra pleaded as she walked past them and sat on the makeshift bench that was under a tree within the camp area.

Xenia and Mineah also followed and sat there. "Gosh, it feels so good not being watched over all the time," Jayra said.

Xenia and Mineah both chuckled. Jayra suddenly stood before Mineah and said, "I think now is the best time to return your bloodthread, Your Majesty. It might get risky if you go into labor. I promise I won’t take long."

"Alright, I bet you can’t wait to return it to me," Mineah teased. It wouldn’t really harm her but since Jayra was insisting so why not let her do it? Besides, Jayra was probably very excited to perform such a major spell, especially after resting for a long time while her body recovered. So, she didn’t see a problem with letting Jayra do the job.

"Of course, once it’s returned to you, His Majesty, King Nikolai will finally pull Taro from guarding me in the shadows. Gosh, I really pity that vampire. I bet he’s overhearing this lurking around here and rejoicing. Hey Taro, stop hiding in your mist form and show yourself! It’s not like I can’t feel your presence! My powers are already back, so there’s no point in concealing yourself!" Jayra blurted out with a pout.

Immediately after, Taro appeared and gave Mineah a curt bow as he said, "Your Majesty." Mineah simply nodded in acknowledgment. She was more than happy to send Taro home to his wife and newborn baby.

Xenia got up from the bench and stood beside Taro to give Jayra and Mineah enough space.

"I will now begin extracting the bloodthread. Soon, I will be free to travel with my sister-in-law to Helion!" Jayra excitedly declared.

Mineah nodded with a smile. She simply watched Jayra as she cast the spell and pulled out her bloodthread from her own body. She watched as the red thread made its way out of Jayra’s body like a ray of sun and lingered in the air between Jayra and her.

"Your Majesty, are you ready? I will now insert the bloodthread back to you," Jayra informed.

"Yes, I’m ready," Mineah answered. The bloodthread slowly moved towards her before getting absorbed by her body. Mineah gasped feeling the strong energy entering her body. It wasn’t exactly unfamiliar to her as it was technically part of her body, but for some reason still she had to exert some energy to get it under control.

"Are you alright?" Jayra asked, her voice laced with concern as Mineah’s body which should have calmed down by now was still illuminating light. Mineah gestured for Jayra and Mineah to stop and not approach her. "I just need a moment," she whispered before closing her eyes.
