Mineah’s eyes fluttered open, a gentle smile forming, hoping Nikolai was there with her. She smiled and bit her lower lip upon seeing his handsome face staring at her.

"Stop smiling. What you did is not something to be smiled about," he scolded with his stern and serious look.

Mineah gulped and then moved to sit up. Nikolai was quick to help her. She took that opportunity to hug him tightly, "I missed you so much," she hummed as she basked in his familiar scent and smell.

His body stiffened but he didn’t move to back away and that made Mineah smile. "I am sorry," she whispered next as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.

Tears unknowingly rolled down her eyes. She really was sorry for everything. She wouldn’t keep anything from Nikolai from now on, regardless of any circumstance... No ifs no buts...

Silence reigned, and Mineah’s hug tightened as if she didn’t want to let go, afraid that if she did Nikolai would leave her and proceed to ignore her. She thought that she would be fine, but deep inside she knew she couldn’t bear being away from him for far too long, especially with him still mad and disappointed in her.

"I’m really sorry, Lai... I will never hide anything from you, I promise that I will never do that again," She didn’t know how many times she kept on repeating her words, maybe because Nikolai was not responding so it felt as if he was not hearing it.

"Promise me..." Nikolai finally spoke.

"Promise me, Mine that you’ll never put yourself in danger and at risk the way that you did yesterday in order to save others! Including me! Promise me that you will never do something like that again, please promise me..." Nikolai begged.

Mineah was so surprised to hear what he had said and was unable to answer as she had to gather her thoughts into words.

"It... it feels like I could die, Mine at the thought of losing you. I know this may sound selfish of me but your... Your life is no longer yours alone, Mine... just like how my life is no longer mine alone. Your life is mine just as my life is yours, so please don’t take it lightly unless you don’t care about how I would feel!" he growled.

Mineah’s eyes widened because that was incredibly far from the truth. She cared for him and she loved him.

She broke her hug, finally letting him go and there she felt her heart ache seeing how he was also crying, "I’m sorry, Lai. I didn’t - Oh I’m really sorry. I promise I will do as you say, please don’t cry," she whispered while kissing his cheeks. She was practically peppering his face with kisses hoping that would soothe and calm him somehow.

She cupped his face and stared closely into his eyes as she whispered, "I’m sorry Lai... I love you. I promise I won’t do anything that will make you cry like this again. I’m so sorry..."

She kissed his lips and she felt Nikolai’s hand on her nape, pulling her closer. This time she felt him urge her to open her mouth with his tongue sliding inside of it. Mineah obliged as Nikolai took over and ravished her lips as if he were starving for it. He sucked on her tongue and that extreme need she was feeling for him was driving her insane.

Their lips were interwoven as their bodies rolled about in bed in an intimate dance. Their breaths mingled as neither one of them wanted to break their connection.

"I’ve missed you too. If you only knew how tormented I’d felt not being able to be with you..." Nikolai hummed on her lips. A shiver went up her spine as he worked towards her more sensitive parts. His hot lips left hers only to go back and forth between her earlobes, neck, and clavicle while his firm fingers continuously rubbed her tender skin.

She subconsciously brushed her lower half against his, feeling his hard bulge against her.
