Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Hacker Lord Mr. Z and J
Half an hour later.
The Maybach arrived at Villa No. 8 of Rong Mansion.
Lu Xingzhou got out of the car, instructed both the driver and Zhao Huai not to disturb Jiang Man’s rest, and to put the car in park.
He didn’t enter the villa but stood outside the courtyard gate smoking.
The blue smoke swirled, obscuring half of his face.
"How is the investigation on the school forum going?" he asked Zhao Huai.
Zhao Huai was somewhat embarrassed, took out his mobile phone, "I haven’t had time to instruct the tech department yet..."
"Then call the tech department now, have them send someone competent to investigate, within one day, I want all the information on the person who posted."
"Yes." Zhao Huai was sincerely anxious, quickly leaving to find a secluded place to make the call.
If it hadn’t been for that false Divine Doctor suddenly showing up, he wouldn’t have put such an important matter aside.
He called the head of the tech department.
The boss was still working overtime with his team at the company, responding in a relaxed tone: "Just investigating a school forum poster? No big deal."
"You must take this seriously, the BOSS is only giving you 24 hours."
Taking the liberty to ask, that Jiang Man, what is her relationship with the BOSS?"
"Just what you are thinking, so you understand the importance of this matter, right?"
"Understood!"
After hanging up the phone, Zhao Huai finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Jiang Man woke up on her own, feeling some soreness in her neck.
Upon opening her eyes, she found herself still in the car, the heating was very strong, and the music was turned down a bit.
She twisted her neck, glanced out of the window, and saw Lu Xingzhou smoking in front of the gate.
The driver was nowhere to be seen, Zhao Huai had just finished a phone call and was walking towards Lu Xingzhou.
"Why didn’t you wake me up?"
Jiang Man got out of the car and stretched her limbs.
"Just having a cigarette, no rush." Lu Xingzhou said indifferently.
Zhao Huai was somewhat speechless, speechless on behalf of his BOSS.
The BOSS is good in every way, just lacks tact.
He clearly wanted to let the little ancestor sleep a bit longer, unwilling to wake her.
Jiang Man didn’t know before that Lu Xingzhou smoked, she disliked the smell of smoke.
Her eyes drooped down to see several cigarette butts under his feet, it appeared he had smoked more than one.
"You have a heavy smoking habit, it’s not good for your lungs or your teeth." Jiang Man walked straight to the gate, in the tone of a doctor, "Also, you should quit your nicotine dependency, it would be good for your nightmares."
Lu Xingzhou was taken aback, threw the unsmoked end of his cigarette on the ground, and stomped it out with his foot.
Once Jiang Man entered the villa, he looked at Zhao Huai behind him: "Starting tomorrow, issue a prohibition in the company, banning smoking within the company."
"Ah?" Zhao Huai widened his eyes, surprised.
The little ancestor just didn’t want him to smoke, yet he responds with authoritarian behavior, dragging the entire company down with him.
"What?" Lu Xingzhou showed a hint of displeasure.
Zhao Huai forced a smile: "Yes, Boss, good night, if there’s nothing else I’ll head home."
Lu Xingzhou waved his hand and walked towards the villa.
House servants stood at the foyer; Lu Xingzhou changed his shoes and then tossed his coat to one of them.
The servant prepared to take the clothes to the laundry room to wash them the next day.
"Throw it away." He hesitated for a moment before speaking.
The servant was somewhat confused. The coat was perfectly fine, and each of the young master’s coats was high-end custom made, each costing at least several tens of thousands. To just throw it away?
"It smells strongly of smoke, throw away all the cigarettes in my study too, starting today, I’m quitting smoking."
"Yes..." The servant nodded respectfully, not understanding how this sudden change had come about.
The young master actually didn’t smoke heavily, only when he was in a bad mood, using it as a relief.
There were quite a few high-end cigarettes stored in the house; throwing them all away would amount to at least hundreds of thousands of dollars.
...
The following day.
Jiang Man and Lu Xingzhou had breakfast together, then went about their respective duties.
She drove to the school and found the music department, class 2023, group 1.
The class had no more than 20 members.
These days, few people studied classical music, unlike next door where the popular music class had 60 students.
In terms of employment rate, popular music indeed offered better job prospects.
Just as Jiang Man entered the classroom, Zhang Ziqi and Mao Lili waved at her, "Sister Man, over here, over here!"
The two had occupied several seats in the middle of the fourth row.
Jiang Man did not head over but immediately looked for her cousin from the countryside.
Seeing Wen Rui sitting in a corner of the last row, she didn’t hesitate and approached, "Is this spot free?"
"No one’s sitting here..." Wen Rui cautiously lifted her eyelids, somewhat flattered, "Cousin... Jiang Man, please have a seat."
Jiang Man coolly threw her backpack onto the desk.
The instructor had distributed the schedules, and they were to undergo military training for a month. Formal classes wouldn’t start until October.
Today, they came to the class only to elect the class committee, not to attend classes.
She sat down and took out her cellphone.
The game was all set up.
But for some reason, as if possessed, she thought of what Lu Xingzhou had said last night in the car, "It’s bad for the eyes."
All right then.
She exited the game, laid her head down on the backpack, and fell asleep.
Wen Rui glanced at her, then looked towards the students in front.
Zhang Ziqi and Mao Lili were glaring at her fiercely.
She had a rough night in the dorm, and any little noise she made provoked Zhang Ziqi’s targeting.
She planned to return to the dorm later tonight, waiting until they were asleep.
"The school forum is down," a student in the front row exclaimed in shock.
Some people turned their eyes towards Jiang Man.
"I heard a tech guru came, intended to expose the person behind Jiang Man by posting on the forum."
"Ah? Is it that serious? The school forum always has various messy leaks, everyone just watches for fun, and soon the hype will die down, right?"
"Not this time, there are really people on Jiang Man’s side, haven’t you heard? Yesterday, people from the top five colleges came to recruit Jiang Man."
"No way? Wasn’t it rumored that she got in through the back door?"
"Hey, you two, do you know any insider news?"
A student asked Zhang Ziqi and Mao Lili.
The two were baffled and spoke in a lowered voice, "Jiang Man didn’t return to the dorm last night. We’ve just become roommates; how could we know so much?"
"Anyway, she’s a big shot, holding onto her is definitely the right move!" Zhang Ziqi concluded.
The classmates nodded agreeably.
...
Meanwhile, in the school’s cybersecurity office.
Zhao Huai watched the head of Lu Corporation’s tech department perform several operations and inquired, "Found anything?"
"I did." The head, named Zhang Neng, lived up to his name, being quite capable.
At 17, he had breached the Neng Corporation’s system, causing the network to collapse for dozens of minutes, nearly causing irreversible consequences for Neng.
At 18, he played even more fiercely, hacking into the White House’s official website and replacing the M country’s flag with a five-starred red flag.
This incident sparked global discussions, with M country ridiculed for incompetence.
Over the following year, he executed several globally shocking acts, was hailed as a god on the dark web, ranked as the world’s second-best hacker, known as Mr. Z.
As for the top-ranked, codenamed J, he was even more outrageous.
He sabotaged New York’s power system, hindered the aerospace department’s missile launch, and even caused a missile to explode in its place.
More hilariously, during an election, J hacked into a candidate’s microphone and insulted him for ten minutes, nearly causing the candidate to have a stroke.
J and Mr. Z, were once hailed by justice advocates as ’eternal gods.’
"There were traces of intrusion on the school forum, the original post was deleted by the poster but was restored by an unknown force."
"An unknown force?" Zhao Huai was somewhat puzzled.
Zhang Neng rolled his eyes at him, "Industry jargon, hackers, other hackers have intervened, and not just one wave; there was a clash, and one side was utterly defeated."
Zhao Huai was stunned, "An inconspicuous college could host a hacker battle?"
Zhang Neng furrowed his brow, "I need a bit more time. One of the hackers involved is not simple."
