Zhouzhou shook his head and showed Ye Wanwan his sketchbook, indicating that he wanted to draw in it.

Ye Wanwan looked around the room, then went to remove the set of cups from the small tea table, allowing Zhouzhou to sit on the cushion and draw.

Zhouzhou had never seen a cushion before, so at first, he didn’t sit on it and looked at Ye Wanwan with puzzlement in his eyes, as if asking her if it was okay to sit on this thing.

"It’s okay to sit on this, Zhouzhou. Sit on top, and then you can draw on the little table," Ye Wanwan patiently explained.

Zhouzhou still looked at Ye Wanwan, and, after some hesitation under her gaze, finally sat down.

Once he was seated, he looked up at Ye Wanwan with surprise in his eyes.

Ye Wanwan cry-laughed again, "Zhouzhou, play here for a while. Mommy’s going to take a bath and will come out very, very quickly. After Mommy has had her bath, we’ll go to sleep, okay?"

After being busy the whole day, Ye Wanwan felt sticky all over. She couldn’t bring herself to lie down and coax Zhouzhou to sleep without a bath first.

Moreover, if she coaxed Zhouzhou to sleep first, she would still need to bathe and blow-dry her hair later, which might even wake him up. So it was better to get everything in order before putting Zhouzhou to bed.

Zhouzhou nodded, and Ye Wanwan leaned over to kiss his cheek, "Zhouzhou is such a good boy!"

Zhouzhou’s mouth curved into a smile, shyly laughing, and Ye Wanwan smiled back at him. Then she patted his head before getting up to leave.

Ye Wanwan grabbed her clothes and quickly entered the bathroom. People often say that girls take a very long time to bathe, but Ye Wanwan only took about ten minutes from start to finish.

If she were at home and Shen Yi was there to look after Zhouzhou, she wouldn’t need to hurry, but here she was the only one watching over Zhouzhou, so she had to be quick.

When she came out from the bath, Zhouzhou was still sitting there, dabbling with his drawing. Hearing the noise, Zhouzhou turned his head to glance at her and then continued his drawing.

Ye Wanwan stood at the bathroom door, drying her hair, so that she could keep an eye on Zhouzhou and prevent any accidents.

Once Zhouzhou had packed up, Ye Wanwan approached him, "Zhouzhou, it’s time to sleep. Let’s not draw anymore, okay?"

Zhouzhou nodded and handed Ye Wanwan his recently doodled masterpiece to look at.

Ye Wanwan praised without reserve, "Zhouzhou’s drawing is really good!"

Then Ye Wanwan scooped up Zhouzhou and went to the bed. She took out her phone, "Let’s video call Daddy and say goodnight to him."

When Zhouzhou heard the word "Daddy," he instinctively looked around the bedroom.

But after scanning the entire bedroom and not finding his Daddy, Zhouzhou looked back at Ye Wanwan with a puzzled face.

Ye Wanwan found it a bit funny, and just then her phone rang. She looked down to see a WeChat video call coming from Shen Yi.

"Daddy is here." While saying this, Ye Wanwan answered the video call and hugged Zhouzhou so they both appeared on the screen.

Zhouzhou stared intently at the phone screen, and Shen Yi continued, "Did you have fun going out today, Zhouzhou?"
