Chapter 67: Swallowed by The Darkness
Chapter 67: Swallowed by The Darkness
With the remaining strength in her, she forced herself to hold on.
She crawled out of the hole and looked back curiously at the position of that monster. Her heart shrunk when she saw the Red Eye Monster already standing terrifyingly about five meters away from her.
Allynna lay on the ground facing that monster. She couldn’t stand on her legs. Her long hair that had been neatly tied up was now a mess covering part of her pale face. Once again, her eyes are locked by The Red Eyesmonster. She can’t move.
The pain she had felt earlier disappeared, replaced by a fear of death. She didn’t want to die now. She still wants to meet her biological family and still wants to meet Leon.
But seeing how determined this monster was, wanting to kill her, and she also had no strength to fight back, she couldn’t help but cry in her heart. And sent her last message to the man who has wavered her heart...
"Brother Leon... if you hear me now. I just wanted to express my feelings about you. Since the first time I saw you, a strange beat appeared from inside my heart. Every time I see you, I feel that way. But all this time, I never knew what it was. Because I never feel that way to other men...only you. And after we stayed on the same roof, I realized that feeling... Brother Leon, I like you. Well, it’s not just like, but I think I start to love you..."
She bitterly smiles in her heart because even though she expresses her feelings right now, she would not be able to be with him. Because in a matter of minutes or even seconds, the Red-Eyed monster would kill her. It was useless to express what was on her heart.
What was worse was Leon wasn’t anywhere near her. He certainly didn’t hear what she said.
Allynna continued, "But too bad because I’m about to die now...if there’s an afterlife, I wish I could meet you and fall for you once again." She stopped because she could feel a tear falling from her eyes... "Goodbye, brother Leon. I’m sorry I had no chance to say....I love you." With her might, she tries to close her eyes.
She didn’t want to see when the Red-Eyes Monster was devouring her body.
She was exhausted. All her strength was drained. She can’t move her body, and her ability is useless. No matter how hard she tried, there was simply no escape route for her.
Allynna has given up.
"Mr. Red Eyes Monster, please kill me painlessly and do it fast!" She said and once again tried to close her eyes, and to her surprise, she could do it. Instantly she felt as though she was being swallowed in the darkness. She fainted.
At the Lake.
Leon appears right before the lake.
He closed his eyes, trying to find Allynna’s position. In a few seconds, he finds her. He vanishes and appears standing on a massive boulder in the deep forbidden forest near Allynna’s body. His head was suddenly numb when he realized that the girl had entered this forbidden forest.
His heart sank when he saw her lying on the ground. Her clothes were torn in some places, and wounds were all over her body.
Unbeknownst to Allynna, Leon has been standing near her in the last minutes before the beast jumps onto her. Just before he wanted to move to stop the beast, he heard the girl’s confession. Leon stopped moving and listening to her confession.
He stopped, letting the girl express her feelings. His face that had always been calm and nearly emotionless has now gradually changed. He felt a warm wave hit his heart. This was the first time he had heard someone confess her love amid her struggle between life and death.
Seconds later, as the monster is about to strike Allynna, his raging heart appears once again. His golden eyes turned their color to become the same color as the burning sun...
Leon raised his hand, and everything stopped. The wind that blew was suddenly still. The red-eyed monster was floating in the air two meters away from Allynna’s body. Then, Leon disappeared from his spot and appeared to stand beside the girl who had passed out. He knelt down to check her neck. He felt relieved that his fiance was still alive.
With a very sharp gaze, he looked at the Red eyes wolf monster who was now floating motionless in the air. He stands facing him, and once again, he raises his hand, and a dark fire appears from his palm. With one swipe, he sends that black fire to that monster. Instantly the beast burns into ash.
After telepathically sending instructions to the guard and Allynna’s servant to go back to the castle, he bent down and gently carried the injured Allynna in her arms.
Before, he also sends a telepathic message to Darren Gilwynn, his best friend, to come to his castle right now. Then he vanishes from the forbidden forest and appears in Allynna’s bedroom.
Leon’s face still looked stiff and cold, as if there was a layer of ice covering his face. He gently placed Allynna in her soft bed. His heart and mind at this moment felt so hot. It felt like he wanted to eradicate the colony of Red Eyes Monsters. He will hunt them down to the deepest layers of this earth if necessary.
His heart feels the pain when he sees Allynna’s terrible condition. Her face looks so pale. Her lips are purple, there are cuts on several parts of her face. Her dark blonde hair is messily scattered on the white pillow, and there are traces of dry leaves and dirt stuck in her damp hair.
As his eyes looked over her right shoulder, his heart ached even more. As if someone had stabbed a sharp dagger in his chest. There’s a trace of blood on her blouse. Then his eyes landed on her torn feet... making him unable to see it.
His golden eyes turned again like the color of burning sun and a surge of killing someone enveloping him. He was so mad right now but he must wait until she awakens, then he will go somewhere to vent his anger.
He slowly closed his eyes and took a deep sigh.
Later he heard a knock on the door.
