Chapter 120: Don’t Leave Me Again
After thirty minutes had passed, Leon tried to call his grandpa because Allynna had not yet appeared. However, before his call connected, the bedroom only lit by the lamp beside the bed suddenly turned bright, dazzling his eyes. He also could feel a gust of wind slapped his face gently.
He immediately turned his gaze to the window near the bed. He was surprised to see a girl silhouette appear wrapped in bright light.
A few seconds later, the light gradually fades, and he can clearly see the girl is Allynna. The girl who had made his heart restless since realizing she was missing. She was sitting on the floor cross-legged near the window with her back facing him.
Instantly he felt very relieved to see her in person.
He vanished from his seat and appeared right behind her. While kneeling, he hugged her tightly. He didn’t want to let her go again. The fear of loss that had been hitting his mind the last few hours subsided slowly.
Allynna just got out of her mind-space when she felt someone hug her tightly from behind. She was so shocked and afraid; she appeared in another and dangerous place. However, when Leon’s scent entered her senses of smell, she felt calm and happy.
"Allynna, I beg you, never ever leave me without a message. You make me worry to death. I’m almost crazy just thinking someone kidnaps you...." Leon’s voice was shaking because he was too frightened.
Allynna was taken aback by his words.
She felt guilty for going into her mind-space without saying anything to him. And the worst is, she passed out in her space and only woke up hours later.
Slowly Allynna raised her hand to hold his hand in front of her chest before saying, "I’m really sorry..." She softly said as she wanted to let go of his hug and turned to look at him. But Leon held her back tightly as if not to allow her to see how horrible his face is right now.
"Please just stay still, let me hug you a little longer...." He tightened his embrace from behind and buried his head in her neck. He inhaled her scent until satisfied and felt a little bit calmer.
"Leon, earlier I was training without realizing I entered my mind-space..." Allynna finally spoke after she felt Leon’s embrace begin to loosen.
She let go of his hand and turned to look at him.
She was shocked when saw his face look so awful. From the look in his eyes, she could see a trace of fear and worry coming from there. They both kneel down to face each other. Then, Allynna took his hands and held them tightly. Later, she can feel her body move fast, and they already sit side-by-side on the couch while their hands are still entangled together.
"What happened? Why did you go there for so long? Is there a problem..." Leon asks. He was so worried that the girl was stuck in her mind-space and didn’t know how to exit.
Allynna looked at Leon, staring at her intently. She felt a little bit waver when their eyes met. With her soft voice, she said, "No problem. But, I overslept...."
Leon "..."
He was utterly speechless.
He thought the girl didn’t know how to get out. Apparently, she fell asleep. This little girl makes him restless for hours because she fell asleep in her space!? He doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry after learning her explanation.
Allynna told Leon how hard she was trying to get into her space. Many times she tried but constantly failed. Her energy was drained, and when she wanted to stop on the last try, she was successful. But because she was too exhausted. All her energy seemed to fade, and as soon as she reached her mind-space, she lay on the grass for nearly five hours. She didn’t even have time to do anything in her space. In a hurry, she exited the mind-space, afraid Leon would look for her.
"I’m really sorry if I made you worry... please don’t be angry. I will never do it again, I promise you. Next time, if I practice in my space, I’ll inform you...." Allynna said regretfully, and her eyes were a bit red from holding back tears. She felt terrible because she had made Leon feel as restless as now.
"Allynna... I’m not angry with you. But I’m angry with myself...."
"No, Leon... please don’t blame yourself." Her voice trembled, now she was about to cry. But before she shed her tears, Leon already pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead.
"Don’t cry. I will be sadder if you cry. Alright, Alright... let’s not talk about this anymore, huh!?" He said.
Allynna immediately stopped crying. Her sadness disappeared instantly, replaced by a feeling that rose from the bottom of her heart when Leon hugged her; The sense of comfort and protection from the man she loves.
After they hugged for a while, Leon finally let her sit down comfortably before he said,
"Tomorrow, we will go to Grandpa’s place to evaluate your abilities. And if Grandpa has given the green light, you can meet your family...."
"Really! Leon, you didn’t lie to me, right? Wow! I can’t wait to meet grandpa and find out the result...." Allynna’s eyes lit up when she heard she was about to meet her biological family. Something she had been dreaming of for a long time.
But suddenly, she felt worried too, afraid her family would not accept her, or otherwise, she would not be able to take them. Because 17 years is not a short time. She had absolutely nothing to remember about them because she was separated from them a few days after birth.
"Yes. But now, let’s fill your stomach first..." Leon said as he heard Allynna’s stomach growl. Allynna felt so embarrassed. She wanted to hide her head now.
Knowing the girl embarrassed Leon not to tease her anymore, he took her hand and teleported to her kitchen room. He had already asked Geoffrey to prepare their dinner before arriving at the dining table.
They both eat side by side. Every now and then, Leon glanced at Allynna, who was eating without speaking. She seemed to be thinking about something. Makes him confused because usually she is always talkative, but now she’s a little different...
"Is something bothering you? Tell me..."
She raises her head and looks at him with a sweet little smile, "Why ask? You can hear my thoughts, right?"
Leon nods. He hears her thoughts, but he can feel something she hides deep in her heart, and he can’t find what it’s. Even after several tries to listen to it, Leon kept failing. Instantly he felt goosebumps realizing this girl had mastered the technique; She was already able to sort out whatever he could hear.
How outstanding is her progress?
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Allynna felt shy when Leon stared at her so deeply.
"Did I?" He immediately continued his dinner and quietly laughed in his heart. The girl caught him red-handed again. "Hurry up, finish your dinner, we will stroll outside...."
