The Bride Of Immortal Crown Prince -
Chapter 103: Fantastic Ability
Chapter 103: Fantastic Ability
"My Lady, I don’t have to do either. You know, my status is special, right? I’m not a student here. I was just in disguise." A soft laugh could be heard from Ikaris, making Allynna glance at him in surprise. This was the first time she had seen Ikaris laugh. Usually, his face was flat and cold.
"Ah, I guess you need to register just like the others." Allynna said, "Then we just have to wait for Helan and Lizzy to come. By the way, Ikaris, you studied here with the same faculty, right?" Ikaris nodes.
She continued, "The lecturers will know you. Aren’t you afraid that there will be trouble later?" This had bothered her when she learned Ikaris studied at Bells with a major in Technology a few years ago. Also, the noble lady or lord would know his face. He is often seen around the Crown Prince at many significant royal events. His disguise as her bodyguard will be exposed if anyone recognizes him.
"Don’t worry about that, My Lady. I have a device that can make other people see me differently...." Ikaris said while seeing a black watch in Lady Allynna’s hand.
"Wow! Ikaris, you have Innate ability to change the shape of your body and face?" Allynna was surprised to hear that. She had read in history books that there was an ability that could change the face and body shape. However, this ability is very rarely found.
Ikaris softly chuckled.
"My Lady, This is not an innate ability. But advanced tools, devices. These tools can manipulate others’ eyes to see me. Besides you and your friend, others will only see me as someone else, not my real self."
Allynna was shocked to hear that. She stops her step and looks at Ikaris, "Oh My Gosh! Is there such a sophisticated tool like that? Ikaris, may I have one?" She was interested in using the tool because she didn’t want her true face to be exposed to others. Sometimes boys, or even men, are attracted to her beauty, and she hates it when they express it obviously. Especially now, she had a special relationship with the Crown Prince. She can become a public enemy if she is found to be Leon’s fiancé.
"My Lady, why do you need...." Before Ikaris could finish his sentence, Allynna continued her words...
"You know, I’m fully aware my beauty is sometimes too attractive to other people. I don’t like it sometimes, and I usually alter it by tying my beautiful hair to a ponytail...." Allynna opened her bag, took out big round glasses, and put them on. "And I use these ugly glasses to hide my mesmerized eyes... I don’t like people seeing me because of my beauty." Allynna said seriously.
Ikaris almost choked hearing her reason. He thought she didn’t want to be seen as His Highness’s lover. It turned out that she did not want others to know her beauty. Gosh!
"My Lady, you already use it, so you don’t have to change your appearance. Now the only ones who can see your real face are me and maybe your best friend...." He was sure, His Highness had already set that device for her before she used the watch.
Allynna was confused by Ikaris’s sentence. Has she used it? Since when and how?
She didn’t feel like she’d ever received such a sophisticated item, "Ikaris, I don’t feel like I’m using the device!? Well, His Highness never gives me that kind of stuff...." She smiled and started walking again.
"His Highness already gave it to you," Ikaris said and followed her. Allynna glances at Ikaris with her brow knit together, waiting for more explanation. Ikaris continued his words, "The black watch you are wearing is not random. There is a face-changing tool and a body shield on it. And all of them are active...."
"Are you sure?" Allynna was shocked to hear Ikaris. She did receive a watch from Leon when she started her physical training. She thought the wristwatch was a sport’s watch to count steps and exercise time and a tool to know her training progress. Because Leon asked her to use the gear wherever she went.
Only this time, she heard the function of the watch, which turned out to be a super sophisticated device to protect her.
"Yes, my lady. I also use that kind of watch." Ikaris pulled the sleeve of his coat, showing his pale and thin wrist. Allynna could see the same watch as used by Ikaris. Instantly she felt her heart warm because Leon thought about her safety to this extent.
They walk again at a fast pace.
"Why is the building so far away?" Allynna complained. "Ikaris, can you make us teleport to the Tech Building? The distance from the road to the location is really far!" Allynna said.
Now, she feels regretful refusing Leon to take her inside the campus. If only she had agreed with Leon dropping her inside, she didn’t have to walk this far. The distance is not a mile away, maybe more. Now she could feel beads of sweat dripping down her forehead. This morning the sun was quite hot. Luckily, many shady trees hid them from direct sunlight along the way. But still, she felt like she was in physical exercise...
"My lady, just now, why did you come down at the main gate? The re-registration building is indeed far from the main door. We need to walk to go there because we cannot teleport on this campus. Except for a divine level practitioner who could do it or an immortal level with teleport ability but they should still have permission to do that." Ikaris said.
"Ah! That’s right, I think you can...." She stopped her words and looked at Ikaris with confused looking-eyes, "Ikaris, but didn’t you do it earlier? I didn’t see your car near the gate. You must have parked it inside, right? Then come out again waiting for me?"
"Yes, I did that. I can move faster than anyone. But, My Lady, my apology for not carrying you right now. I worry someone will see us...." He said while looking around. That morning, he could see many students were walking like them.
Allynna was stunned to hear Ikaris’ explanation. It turns out Ikaris can move faster than an ordinary human. Even faster than a well-trained special force soldier. That is a fantastic ability!
