82: Chapter 76: Two New Great Knights 82: Chapter 76: Two New Great Knights Miss Miko’s Magic Potion Shop basement had not yet started forbidden research before Lord temporarily requisitioned it.

The basement, specifically reinforced by the Undead and designed multiply, was not only sufficiently spacious and secretive but also very sturdy.

Two specially installed ventilation windows were bringing in cold air from the ground.

The scent of Magic Potion, initially overwhelming to the point of dizziness, felt physically uncomfortable at first sniff but, after smelling it more, it seemed to ease the body, as if it posed a threat to any illnesses, deterring them from causing mischief.

Lind watched the two Soldiers standing before him, Reed and Leo, they were the final two chosen ones who would drink the Magic Potion of Sun’s Testament and follow the same path as Lind.

Last night, Miss Miko Tu Ya prepared two doses of Magic Potion, which now sat on the table, emitting an enticing amber glow.

“You once swore to be loyal to me,” said Lind, clutching “Praise the Sun,” a torch in the basement casting half of his face into shadow, “we defended the Kingdom’s borders together, we witnessed the apocalypse together, we supported each other until now, we have long been brothers!”

The two men trembled slightly, feeling the trust in Lind’s words.

“This is not some solemn ceremony, but as Knights, even though the gods have disappeared, we need not lack what is necessary,” from the anxiety of the disappearance of gods to now being able to joke about them casually.

Losing faith, then seeking the meaning of survival, it is hard to describe their psychological journey with just “the gods have disappeared.”

But as Lind said, gods can disappear because we can completely rely on ourselves to live.

The ceremony is no longer for the gods, it is for ourselves.

“I still harbor faith, just not in the gods,” he said.

The two Soldiers also looked at him earnestly.

“So, don’t regard this as a sacrifice or anything messy.

I just rather like the sense of ritual,” Lind chuckled lightly.

“Likewise, I hope you will remember this experience.

I have had similar feelings and honestly, compared to the faith in gods, we are actually usurping the power of gods, which is already heretical.”

“Even though the Ring of Magic is shattered, even though All Gods have slumbered, even though the end of the world,” Lind opened “Praise the Sun,” “we can still find the meaning to live, what connects us isn’t vows, and no vow can surpass the love between us.”

“We do not need oaths or curses to bind us, for our experiences of supporting each other through life and death surpass everything,” Lind lifted “Praise the Sun,” flipping the pages loudly, “from now on, we pursue glory, only death can stop us.”

Everyone pursues glory differently, but Lind believed that they were thinking the same thing now.

Death is an inevitable ending, but on this path towards death, pursuing glory in great strides makes the journey not only liberated but also splendid.

“To leave our names in this world, where glory endures, and we live forever.”

“I swear to follow Lord Lind!”

“I swear to follow Lord Lind!”

“No matter what enemies lie ahead!”

“No matter what enemies lie ahead!”

“By glory as our testament!”

“By glory as our testament!”

“Until death do us part!”

“Until death do us part!”

The two men grabbed the Magic Potion from the table and drank it head back.

Lind finally saw what he looked like when he had drunk the Magic Potion himself.

The orange energy from the Magic Potion glowed, penetrating their skin, allowing him to clearly see the Magic Potion enter their mouths, slide down their throats, pause at their chests, then burrow into their stomachs.

The orange light blossomed, first lingering at the positions of their internal organs.

Their organs were radiating light, followed by their bones, and then it surged upward to their brains.

At that moment, the two of them trembled uncontrollably as if their cerebellums had been heavily struck, unable to balance their bodies, starting to sway.

This wasn’t funny, for their faces were filled with confusion.

Lind didn’t like to see confusion on the faces of his people.

Perhaps it was somewhat shameless to say, but he wanted to lead these people who had always followed him forward, so they wouldn’t need to feel confused as long as they were with him.

He began to recite “Praise the Sun” loudly, almost roaring.

There were no chains made of words binding them, but in his voice, the frequency of their trembling gradually slowed.

However, a change still occurred.

The first to change was Reed.

His arms twisted uncontrollably, his muscles stirred clockwise by an invisible force.

Lind lunged forward, grabbing his arm, and tried hard with his palms to smooth out the twisting flesh on his arm.

His palms were slippery, covered in blood.

“Damn it!” Lind cast “Praise the Sun” aside.

The book was somewhat useful, but it seemed not that useful.

No wonder the Sun Church was littered with double-helix corpses.

If “Praise the Sun” were truly divine, how could those clergy have died off, leaving only the Dark Fire brothers and Aluna behind?

Was it his dumb luck?

A bloody Magic World that doesn’t talk probability, only luck.

On the other side, blood spurted from Leo’s body as his legs also began to spiral.

“Hang in there, dammit!”

Even though he had seen the fate of the Undead who drank Magic Potion, Lind was still furious at the crappy “subjective” success rate.

Lind shouted “Praise the Sun” as the obedient force in his body was drawn into the two men under the guidance of the circular formation in his chest.

It was as if he suddenly had limbs that could leave his body, and then he used his own strength to forcefully calm down the gradually crazed Magic Potion inside them, smoothing it bit by bit.

When Lind, drenched in sweat, stopped, Reed and Leo had also calmed down.

They still had wounds on their bodies, but the aura emanating from them was strengthening.

Undoubtedly, they had reached the Great Knight rank.

However, neither of them had a circular formation on their chest, and their aura was significantly weaker compared to Lind’s.

“Uh,” Reed and Leo stood up, and what greeted them was Lind’s bear hug.

“How do you feel?” Lind asked beside their shoulders.

“Great!” Reed and Leo answered in unison.

It was also important to probe and extract their strength, albeit they didn’t have a three-person sumo wrestling in Miss Miko’s basement.

Just from an arm wrestling match, Lind could sense the gap between them and himself.

The strength difference was significant but not particularly obvious.

However, without the golden circle, they couldn’t perfectly control the power inside their bodies.

It seemed, therefore, not that the consumption of Magic Potion had gone awry for them, but rather that something unusual had happened to him when he initially took the Magic Potion, making him abnormal.

“When we get back, train well in the power I taught you.

Star Dragon Ridge needs your strength,” Lind referred to Rage and Explosive Flame, which could to some extent, enhance their combat power.

He was in a good mood now, having gained two more Great Knights under his command.
