"You have no right to talk to my wife after what you did you bitch!" He pushed Harlow aside and slapped her hard. Claudia could only smile stylishly at his action.

"I warned you, Harlow, be careful with me, George does not play about me," Claudia said proudly staring at her sister. If Harlow thinks she has Alanis, then she has George. They underestimated George for so long and think he’s useless, but she knows George is far from being useless.

Harlow smiled feeling the sting on her cheeks.

"Just because Alanis took your punishment does not mean I will not beat you up if you dare lay your hands on my wife." He pointed his fingers at Harlow as he issued his warning.

"What have you done George, raising your hands on your brother’s wife?" Grandma Hamilton walked towards them as she scolded her grandson "Not just your brother’s wife, I never raised you to raise your hands on a woman."

"Fuck out of here old hag." George dismissed her with one wave.

"George don’t speak to your grandmother that way," Elisa said with a mocking tone.

"What will she do? Send me out again?" He mocked. "Even if you send 100 soldiers to kick me out, I’ll kill them all and kill you too." Charlotte wasn’t at all surprised at his attitude, this is all Garth’s doing. She has been training her son to fight against them since he was a child if only he could do the right thing and not follow anything his mother says.

"You should never raise your hands on a woman George," Charlotte said.

"Where was this preaching when Harlow disrespected me and Lia? Did you even see what she did to Claudia?" Garth spoke out this time. "Where was your preaching when Harlow killed Claudia’s child? Your great grandchild." Garth asked.

"I know you like to be biased with your judgment Mother, but please make it less obvious next time. I and my children are also your family." She concluded.

Harlow smiled at the scene displayed before her. George was always this arrogant, in this life and the past and he always had Garth backing his foolishness. He was the one that had beat her before without a second thought and today, he has done the same again.

"Then let us hope that you actually lost the child Claudia because every one of you will pay if this is another of Claudia’s schemes."

"Who are you to speak Harlow?" Elisa frowned at the girl.

"Are you threatening us again?" George walked towards Harlow, she didn’t fret or remove her gaze from him. She took the first slap as a mistake, but not this time. Not anymore.

"What would you do about it, hit me again like you did before," Harlow asked with a smile.

"For someone as weak as you, you certainly have a big mouth, Harlow," Claudia sneered. "I hope you explain to your sick husband that you started this mess."

Claudia didn’t care whether Harlow knew that she hadn’t lost the child or not. In fact, Claudia secretly wanted to lose the child too. The last person she wanted to be pregnant with was George, he had ruined her chance of being with Alanis.

But don’t worry, Claudia thought to herself, it was only a matter of time before she’d get rid of the child.

The only person she believed she should be pregnant for was Alanis. He was the one who should father her children. For weeks, she had asked Jane to find the used condom wrappers from Alanis and Harlow, but Jane had been unable to find any.

That struck her as suspicious. If Harlow and Alanis truly loved each other, as everyone claimed, there should be a lot of used condoms in the trash, or Harlow would already be pregnant by now.

If Harlow wasn’t pregnant yet, it might mean she was infertile. Claudia smiled at the thought. The Harlow of her past life would have gotten pregnant in no time. Maybe this life really was different.

That was why Claudia had come to the conclusion that Alanis didn’t really love Harlow, he was only doing everything to annoy her. But why would he hurt himself so much just to annoy her?

"Master Alanis wants to see you now." She said calmly.

"Have you called the doctor?" Harlow asked to see her maid nod. She started walking away with Ava. She should have never wasted her time with those people anyway.

"Yes, walk away, that’s what I thought." George sneered.

When she arrived in their bedroom, she could see a few maids already tending to Alanis’s wound. "You can leave, I’ll take it from here." She said calmly and the maids started leaving one after another.

Harlow picked up the towel and soaked it in the water before squeezing excess water from it. She was about to clean the wound but paused mid-air when she saw how damaged Alanis’s back was. She couldn’t even look at the injury. This man, even if he knew it would hurt, he still took her punishment for her.

She dapped the towel on the sides of his back. The green towel immediately turned red and she soaked it back in the water. In no time, the water turned red too.

As Harlow cleaned she realized one cut was deeper than the next.

"Surprisingly, your touch is tender today," Alanis said softly without meeting her gaze. He couldn’t even move.

"You should have never accepted the punishment for me." Harlow suddenly said finding her way into the bathroom as she changed the water.

"I thought we already talked about it?" He winced when the wet cloth touched his skin again.
