Alanis watched his wife closely, wondering if she could handle the task or was just bluffing. It was because, in his past life, Harlow knew nothing about his kind of work.

Pest like Lincoln should not be working for Hamilton’s Corp. She would need to reevaluate the staff again and remove the weeds out of here.

Lincoln’s other colleagues all rushed towards him when Harlow and Alanis stepped out. Even if he was just fired, he is their superior.

"That’s enough Mr Lincoln, I don’t think Master Alanis would let that rude woman fire you. Does she know who you are?" One of them said. She is a female, with beautiful round brown eyes.

"Yes, Liwa is right. How dare she treat you like this. You’ve been the one handling the company affairs before her arrival. Just because you couldn’t solve one little problem this time doesn’t mean you’re not qualified for the job. If we’re being fair, it’s normal for her to solve an issue that was already half done." Timothy said calmly defending his superior.

"But Mr Lincoln had challenged the CEO into completing the work. We all know none of us here could complete that project, yet she did so in less than two minutes."

"Shut up!" Liwa barked. "Watch your tongue, Nita. Watch... Your... Tongue!" She yelled, then she turned to Lincoln who was still seated on the floor.

"You should go report her to Mrs Charlotte Hamilton," Liwa suggested immediately. Even if the old woman can barely do anything, she’s the true owner of the company. Plus she knows Lincoln, so she would be more than happy to help.

Charlotte Hamilton was the only one powerful enough to deal with Harlow and cancel whatever she had done to Lincoln.

"That’s true." Lincoln carefully thought about her words and agreed. Charlotte Hamilton had been the one to increase his salary after their successful project before. She would definitely be furious finding out her stupid and unreasonable daughter-in-law had fired him. He rose from the floor, his ego back again.

"What are those?" Lincoln asked. They had told him about the enveloped letters but he had been too busy with solving the issue before them.

"They are an invitation letter from Madam Charlotte herself. She’s inviting us to the infamous Gala." He said to see everyone smile. The whole company has been talking about the Gala for days now, everyone wanted to be in attendance, but Charlotte had only invited a few people for it.

Not only were the workers obsessed with attending the gala, but the people of Halkhalls wanted to be a part of it. It would be the biggest ceremony in a while.

"I see you added more pads to it. It still wouldn’t change the fact that it’s not enough for our babies." He said gesturing his chin to her breast and Harlow blushed. How did he notice she wore a bigger-sized bra to at least make her breasts get bigger?
