Charlotte was approaching the Villa in a black night dress. Her gray hair flowed with the wind as she walked hurriedly, her third legs clicking against the floor.

Even though she had refused to admit Harlow reincarnating, the truth was right in front of her. Harlow was her granddaughter-in-law from the past.

"Grandson." Charlotte was greeted by a frustrated Alanis stepping out of his Villa.

"What are you doing out here at this time?" Alanis asked but Charlotte ignored his question. She was not in the mood for that. All she wanted was a clue to be sure this was her Harlow.

"Where’s your wife?" Charlotte asked.

"She’s not in the right state of mind right now. She won’t talk to you." Alanis said frustratedly. Now she knew the reason for Harlow’s attitude she knew how to bring them together again.

This was no ordinary love story, she too needed to play a game.

"I know this may sound stupid grandson, but I want you to listen to me. I have relived this life before and I think your wife has too." Alanis froze. He had been right, this woman before him, was his grandmother from the past.

He didn’t know whether to tell her about him reliving this life or not. "What are you talking about?" He asked.

"This may sound stupid, and you don’t have to believe me. But I reincarnated. I know the reason your wife hates you and I can help you." She continued.

"You weren’t the best husband in the past. Your negligence killed your son." Charlotte continued. It would be hard to win Harlow over just like that but Alanis needed to try. With her help, she was sure he could do it.

"I know grandma. She told me." He said calmly, and Charlotte’s eyes went wide. This further confirms everything she was thinking about. She looked around, making sure no one was eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Come with me son, we can’t talk out here. Someone might hear us and think we’ve both gone mad." She started walking in and Alanis followed closely behind. He was still contemplating whether or not to tell her.

Charlotte was one of the people who warned him in the past, but he never took her words seriously. He could only imagine how much his family must have tortured Harlow. How much she had to endure.

The pain both he and his family caused her. During the time of her pregnancy, even if she called him a thousand times, he always felt like she wanted to use that to keep him away from Claudia.

That witch was always in his ears, speaking evil of her sister and feigning illness.

"What do you mean when you said your wife told you about it?" Charlotte asked finding her way to the sofa.

"I saw a picture of my little form with a strange name written on it and then I asked her about it." He said.

What was written on it?" Grandma Hamilton asked looking like a detective investigating a case.

"Alex." Charlotte tore up when she heard the name. Oh, how she misses her great-grandson. That was the only happiness in her lost world and he was taken from her. Her wicked family stole him away.

"That’s your son you rascal." She said. "If you were my former grandson, I swear I would have killed you by now." She glared at him. Alanis had caused more pain than he could ever imagine.

"Then you have me." He said and the cold woman’s wise eyes stared at him. "I’ve also relived this life too, that’s the reason I choose Harlow and support her." He confessed.

"For a moment Charlotte Hamilton was silent as she stared at her grandson’s reminiscing the information he just passed to her.

She tried to stand, but couldn’t. "Help me up." Charlotte stretched her hands towards her grandson and Alanis didn’t hesitate to help her up. The moment Charlotte balanced her feet on the floor, her palm swiped across his face hard.

"You foolish boy." She yelled. "Do you know the pain you put your wife through because of your foolishness?" She used her cane this time to hit him on his legs.

"That woman suffered so much because of you. Garth and the others torture both her and Alex. They stole everything away from her. If only you had listened, things wouldn’t be this way." She continued yelling.

Alanis who was oblivious to all of the pain Harlow had gone through was shocked. He had given her a better life. He made sure even though he was never at home, she would never lack anything.

"What exactly did they do to her?" Alanis asked feeling defeated.

"Even if I tell you there’s nothing you can do about it. The past is in the past. This is a new life, and if anything happens to my granddaughter-in-law again, I swear I will follow you to hell where you belong and kill you."

"You don’t deserve her love. If I were Harlow, I would never forgive you." Charlotte started walking away. Knowing that the man standing before her was her stupid grandson from the past, irritated her.

She warned him countless times, she told him his attitude would only bring doom, but he never listened.

The noise from both people woke Harlow from her sleep and when she got down the stairs, she was greeted by just Alanis staring at the door.

"What’s going on?" Her soft Boise rang in his ears and he met her gaze. "I thought I heard Grandma’s voice."

"You did," Alanis said calmly.

"Why was she hear?" She asked.

"To scold me." Alanis smiled. Asking Harlow about the last may make her suspicious about him. From all he knows, this woman before him might seem naive, but she was so smart.

"Let’s go to bed, tomorrow will be a busy day," Alanis said calmly. Harlow obeyed and started walking up the stairs and the man behind her followed closely.
