THE BILLIONAIRE'S VENGEFUL WIFE RETURNS -
Chapter 146: SHE KILLED HIM
Chapter 146: SHE KILLED HIM
When Harlow and Alanis arrived at the entrance of the hospital, he opened the car door for her and she stepped in. She was too heartbroken to speak or notice anyone anymore.
Today she had found out the actual person that killed her son. Claudia confessed herself to killing her baby. She had no right to do that.
She should have never involved her son in their conflict.
"Are you alright?" Alanis asked the woman seated next to him but she said nothing to him. He had no idea what had happened in there and why she looked so down. Claudia has played games like this in the past, she should be used to her sister’s foolishness by now. Besides, he had supported her this time.
Alanis didn’t bother anymore after her silence. He was ready to give her the space she needed.
Harlow still couldn’t believe her son’s surgery had been successful back then. He didn’t die from heart disease but it was Claudia who had murdered him. She could only imagine the pain her little baby went through.
She wiped her tears quickly with the back of her hands before anyone would notice. Even if she had been reborn, her past life and the pain she went through felt so fresh. It felt like it all happened yesterday.
"Just let it all out, it’ll make you feel better," Alanis said calmly and heard her sniffle. And then came the next as she struggled to control her cries.
The last thing she wanted was to break down before all of these people, but it hurt her that she knew her son’s murderer now, yet could not do anything about it. She felt so useless.
She turned to look at him, tears in her eyes, "She killed him..." Harloe whispered covering her mouth. She knew she sounded stupid, this Alanis wasn’t the Alanis of her past, and he could barely understand what she was talking about.
"What are you talking about?" He asked but Harlow wiped her tears and turned her face from him.
"It’s stupid, you wouldn’t understand." She said.
"Try me." Alanis placed his palm on her shoulder. He hated to see her like this, to see her cry. She has cried enough in the past, but he would never let her cry in this life. He was here to wipe all of her tears.
"I will understand." He added, but the woman beside him shook her head wiggling her shoulders till his hands fell off.
"Forget it." She said. It was his fault too, it was his fault everything turned out the way it did. Harlow stared out the window lost in her thoughts as she watched the street light pass as the car moved.
Alanis didn’t say anything to her. He took out his cell phone and browsed something.
’What to do when your woman is hurting."
He clicked his tongue at the options. They were good, but not satisfying enough for the woman beside him. Harlow is different, she deserves all the love in the world, but he didn’t know how to love her. The right way to do so.
He owed her so much and didn’t know where to start from.
When they arrived back at the mansion, Harlow didn’t wait for the guards to open the door, she opened it herself and stepped out of the car as she hurried into the Villa. She needed a little time alone.
The past hours have been really rough for her, from finally expressing her feelings to Alanis to Claudia exposing herself.
When she got into their bedroom, she locked the door and started taking out her clothes one after another. Once she was completely naked, she walked into the bathroom. She didn’t have the time to prepare her bath, so she got under the shower.
She needed the cold water to cool down. Once she’s calm, she can think of a good revenge plan for Claudia. Her sister will pay so dearly for hurting her child. She will make sure of that.
While Harlow was still bathing, she was oblivious to a certain someone unlocking the door with a spare key as he stepped in. He picked the clothes she had stashed on the floor one after another, including her underwear, and kept them in the closet.
Alanis moved through her side of the closet and selected a new outfit, considering she didn’t take new ones with her into the bathroom. He stood by the door as he waited for her to be done. He didn’t need the internet to teach him how to care for his woman, he would do that any way he could.
He would follow his heart this time, and treat her like the most precious woman on earth.
Once Harlow was done bathing, she dried her hair with the towel hanging there and didn’t bother wearing the robe since she was the only person in the room.
She rather tied her hair with the towel and opened the bathroom door but flinched at the hand she saw there. Her eyes turned wide when she saw her panties in his hands.
This man...
Harlow snatched it quickly and stepped back into the bathroom as she banged the door. She wore her panties quickly and the robe in a corner before stepping out of the bathroom.
"How did you get in here?" Was the first question that left her lips when she stepped back into their bedroom. Alanis turned to his wife, his back leaning against the wall as his eyes moved around her body slowly before landing on her face.
"What else, helping my sick wife out." He said casually.
"I locked the door so how did you get in?" She asked covering her body properly from his eyes.
"Spare keys. Every room in the Villa has spare keys." He said calmly as he pushed himself from the wall.
"Your leg is bleeding, let’s fix that." Harlow stared at her ankle and her eyes went wide. She had forgotten she had an injury and had poured water on her legs causing the bandage to loosen.
"I... I can do it myself." She said. "I want to be alone for now, so please leave." She ordered, but the man standing before her didn’t seem like he was going to listen to her.
"Stop being stubborn and come here." He lifted her in his arms and carried her over to the sofa there.
